What will Square Enix Europe do about the HD 1.5 ReMIX website?

Recommended Posts

When Square Enix Japan and Square Enix NA make websites for their Kingdom Hearts games, they just do it as a subsection of the main Square Enix website. Eg. we have http://www.square-enix.co.jp/kingdom/3d/ and http://na.square-enix.com/kh3d/ However, when Square Enix Europe creates a website for their Kingdom Hearts game, they create an entirely new domain, eg. http://kingdomhearts3dgame.com/

It's interesting to speculate about what the domain might be for HD 1.5 ReMIX, as we may find that Square Enix have already registered it. For example, while their domain for KH3D was registered on Dec 15, 2011, this wasn't revealed until a week or so later. If we had checked the domain during this week, then we would have found the news in advance.

Here are Square Enix Europe's domains for the last few KH titles:

Days: http://www.kingdomheartsdays.com/

BBS: http://kingdomheartsbbs.com/

Recoded: http://www.kingdomheartsrecoded.com/

KH3D: http://kingdomhearts3dgame.com/

In order to check domain records, simply go to http://whois.domaintools.com/, so for example, http://whois.domaintools.com/kingdomhearts3dgame.com. This shows who owns the domain, and when it was registered. Checking http://whois.domaintools.com/kingdomhearts3d.com reveals that a random person registered "kingdomhearts3d.com" prior to Square Enix, which explains why they picked an unusual domain "kingdomhearts3dgame.com".

With all of this in mind, what do you think Square Enix Europe will do for HD 1.5 ReMIX?

"kingdomheartshd.com" has already been registered by an individual unrelated to Square Enix (http://whois.domaintools.com/kingdomheartshd.com), and all of the ones I've checked ("kingdomheartshdremix.com", "kingdomheartshdgame.com", etc etc) are unregistered. See if you can guess the domain and maybe we can uncover some news and get a confirmation for Europe!

it doesn't matter if it comes out in EU/AU since the PS3 is region-free, and we already know that there is an English version coming.

Coming for days movie yeh.

Besides if it comes to us it will also come to eu for the secret message.

Actually all the regio's where ddd came out will get a high chance for HD Remix.

I wonder what they will do about the voice acting.

Out of these three games only 1 was dubbed into different languages. Would be sad if they would only use English/Japanese.

@ Henne

I asked the German voice actor of Xigbar from Kingdom Hearts II and he said that he doesn't know anything about a German dub for KH

but he also said that he would be ready if there will be a dub

I'm ~95% sure that this means there won't be any other dub than English for HD ReMIX outside Japan

That would make perfect sense, why bother with some spoiled German weirdos if it took less time and effort to just use subtitles and menus?

lool

I don't know him in person, but I mailed him

found his mail-adress here: http://www.raeuker.de/impressum.html

but like I said, he doesn't know anything => no German dub in work

so I think asking him again is useless

I don't believe in a German dub anymore (KH will be forever English dub with German etc subs)

and SE did something what I really hate them for.....

a German dub for the new Tomb Rider....but none for KH (up till now)

Why are you whining? Other countries have to deal with the english version too, it's not a difficult language. I don't see why they should waste time on making more dubs when it's not necessary.

English is ok, yes

but the thing is what SE have done with the EU localization over the years

from German/French/Spanish dub to English dub with subs (Multi-5) to Multi-3 (no Spanish/Italian subs)....and what now? 100% English?

no one would say anyhthing if SE hadn't started with localized dubs!!!

Pretty much that.

Aside from that: I like the German dub. Therefore it would be nice if they would do one again. However, I lost all hope for a new one -

Sad but true.

I'll try to check. I notice the fact that they use abbreviations, such as bbs. So, it would make sense if they used some kind of abbreviation for 1.5...

Maybe 'kingdomheartshdr' , or something along those lines.
