Shulk 8,623 Posted February 1, 2013 Wow... That's taking things a little too far. At this rate, games will be banned in America within the next year or so. Guns are weapons. Games are just a form of entertainment, and not all games involve violent acts. I swear, next they'll say games cause cancer- oh wait, they already did. I don't get why no one blames movies or TV shows for violence. I know that games are more interactive, but movies can get quite violent too. It annoys me that people blame video games for all of the problems in life...
AntonioKHT 449 Posted February 1, 2013 Video games, a bigger problem than guns... SEEMS LEGIT Let's see, guns kill people and video games is a way of having fun. Who possibly thinks playing a game is worse than having a gun at home? 5 Shulk, RikuVazquez, MythrilMagician and 2 others reacted to this
Think Pink 1,967 Posted February 1, 2013 Just going to point out that there's no research to either support or disprove the effect of video games. For someone who has existing mental health problems, violent games may have the capacity to push them over the edge. 4 Shulk, Rob, OthersiderME and 1 other reacted to this

Deadpool 1,200 Posted February 1, 2013 They're right, guys. By using a keyblade in Kingdom Hearts I have been taught to slash a key around and murder people with violence. I learned absolutely nothing about friendship, happiness, and good ways from Kingdom Hearts or any other game series, which are TOTALLY %100 proven to be the source of the criminal's corruptions. /sarcasm 1 axele reacted to this

Xalaru 445 Posted February 1, 2013 (edited) If you got rid of videogames, people still have the guns to murder entire families with. If you got rid of guns, what are they gonna do, throw a PS3 at an old woman? I think the problem here is obvious... Seriously, they need to stop blaming the games. They can't and don't do anything to cause violence to that degree. Edited February 1, 2013 by Xalaru 1 RikuVazquez reacted to this
MythrilMagician 6,963 Posted February 1, 2013 okay some americans (not all) must really hate the world they live in so that they say things like that.

Funnily enough, Japan has practically no mass shootings or deaths involving guns. Ruby 224 Posted February 1, 2013 If games are banned in America, I'm moving to Japan. Where video games run wild everywhere. Anyone want to join me?Can I come. I would seriously go if video games get banned here. On topic, I think it's stupid that they're still blaming video games for violence. I mean come on, seriously. Having a game in your house is gonna be more dangerous than having a gun. It's not even that dangerous to have a gun to protect you either.

Henne 150 Posted February 1, 2013 At this rate, games will be banned in America within the next year or so. And China (maybe) will allow them in the near future. Oh, the irony! But it seems that, no matter in which country you live, the "old" people say "oh, there was a massaker! Must be video games' fault! And in no way something else like... I don't know... hm, a shitty life? Naaah! Definitely video games!"
