I'd be much more interested if it plays like a proper movie.  Not like All Scenes playing where there's a black screen in between each scene that just highlights it's a bunch of scenes.

There is a reason why so many video games are never made into films and why those that are suck. Simply put, it's hard to convert games into movies. The average game these days has over three hours worth of gameplay. RPGs such as Kingdom Hearts can have over 24 hours worth of gameplay if not sped through. It's just hard to compress that time effectively.

"But it takes a long time to read many books! Why are those made into movies?"  It's a good question, but the answer is simple really. It can take a minute for a book to describe the appearance of a character. A movie introduces characters in just a few seconds. An entire battle that you read in an hour may have only been for 10 minutes in real time.

And here is where we have the problems with game movies. That hour battle in the game, is an hour battle in real time. If you are to make a movie out of a game, you have to cut a lot of stuff. Many of it very important. The fans of the game will especially notice and those that didn't play through the game will be very confused with what's happening. Lets say they made a Kingdom Hearts 2 movie. The entire intro sequence with Roxas contains forty minutes of cutscenes. If they were to try and make a movie of the whole game and fit it into the maximum 3 hour timeframe that people are willing to watch a movie, you would have to get through all of that stuff in 10 minutes max. That's barely enough to explain why the hell these Organization XIII loonies will be chasing Sora around later in the movie.

Overall, I'm against games being made into movies in general. Unless an entirely new story/ new part of a story is being told (advent children for example) there really is no point. Considering how much money it takes to make video games these days, if the writers felt that a movie was the best way to tell the story, they would of made a movie first.

Probably not. I liked playing the game, so seeing it in movie format would probably ruin it for me. Sort of like when you read a wonderful book and it's turned into a movie, it never lives up to your expectations, and little details (or sometimes major ones) are always off.

I think including it as a movie was a wise choice as a lot of KH fans didn't like the fluidity of the game as a whole and the gameplay itself. I personally would love a full remake of the game, but to capture the interest of the majority of the fanbase - just including the cutscenes and cinematics was the smart choice. In the words of Barney Stintson: It's gonna be legen - wait for it (and watch out if you're lactose intolerant cuz it's gonna be) - DARY!

I'm really excited for the 358/2 Days cutscenes, but I'm also worried it might be too hyped up and that I might be setting myself up for disappointment if it is not as good as I'm hopeing it will be.
