MagicallyAngelic 2 Posted January 17, 2013 (( Sorry, I'll reply to the parts that are acceptable. I'm on my phone as well, I know how it is. )) Tessaline was shocked, as all the animals ran away, scattered. The fire had stopped, turning into a slowly burning ember, but a large amount of the forest had been burned. Tessaline could seethe clouds pouring rain down on the island as they made their way towards her. "Water..." She muttered, staring up into the sky, and then slowly laying back down. "I will figure this out."
WakingDawn96 1,166 Posted January 18, 2013 Amber didn't know what to do. Everything she tried made this girl not care and afraid. How was she going to get this task done to save the money she needed to win? She then thought of another idea, 'What if I let this girl find the seeds on her own, plant them, and have the trees grow back slowly after that? That would have her fix the problem and she would finally feel sorry for everyone on the island and want to help get the problem of lost homes fixed by planting the seeds?' Amber thought to herself about the problem at hand.
Silvia Kuroi 1,480 Posted January 19, 2013 Van sat back in his chair, trying to think of whatever else needed to be done. "This job is surprisingly stressful." He murmured, watching the screen with careful eyes, occasionally taking off his glasses to rub his face, "Besides, what do I do now..? They don't necessarily seem to be in harms way." He said out loud, rubbing his chin as he thought. Sighing, Van simply sat there, waiting. If things kept getting crazier, he needed to be ready when something else happened. Cracking his knuckles, he gently placed his hands on the keyboard.
MagicallyAngelic 2 Posted January 19, 2013 Tessaline closed her eyes and drifted between sleep and awake. She wanted to think, but she couldn't let her guard down. These programmers seemed to be out to get her. And that was no good. (( New assignments on Monday, money will not be deducted this time. Cuz I love y'all. ))
Master Juan 574 Posted January 20, 2013 I yawned and stretched out my arms, then gazed intently at the screen. By now, the clouds I created earlier should be rolling in..... Right on que too! Rain began to pour and lightning illuminated the sky, loud explosions of thunder following. Just then, I looked at one of the programs, the name Tessaline was what the monitor had displayed over her. Odd. she seemed to be struggling this early in the test... Wait a minute! I put on my headphones and zoomed in on her ears. Perhaps I could hear her thoughts if I got close enough... Suddenly, the words, "These programmers seemed to be out to get her." I ripped out my headphones, then slammed my hands down on the desk. "What the hell!??? She knew we were programmers? That's impossible, at least this early on! Frustrated, I screamed into the microphone to the people running this shindig, "You better tell me exactly what the hell is going on her! You gave me an impossible assignment, and I did nothing to give my presence away! You setting me up for failure?!?"
MagicallyAngelic 2 Posted January 20, 2013 Tessaline slowly stood up and looked around, her eyes scanning the horizon. "I need shelter." She muttered, looking for anything that could work. "Come on Tess, think!" She hissed. She was frowning, standing in the pouring rain. "Why am I even here?" She muttered, before setting off, into the forest. ------- A voice came on, into Bowen's headset. "You have one task." The voice said, only loud enough for him to hear. "Your fellow programmers have their tasks. Complete the task, and you will succeed. Fail, and you will not. If you have an issue with the task given to you, please contact your superior through our help and support screen and a new task may be assigned if the previous task cannot be preform. Have a nice day, and enjoy the game!" The voice said, happily.
WakingDawn96 1,166 Posted January 20, 2013 Amber had but little time to get this girl to complete her goal. Something would have to work, but what? Then she thought that the girl, even though she was a program, could use some fake food and water. Amber decided not to make it easy for her so she left a bow where the girl would find and left not a single arrow to get courage. Amber then looked sad, "I am so not getting that money. I am sorry..."
Obi-wan 411 Posted January 20, 2013 (edited) From the looks of it the Programmers were focusing on the one girl. "So the programmers are entirely to focused on one person. Honestly they think there gonna get somewhere with her?" Musing to herself still at the beach line holding a long pointed stick. "At least there's rain. It'll fill up the shell then i'll attach to my belt to carry." Waiting patiently for the shell to collect the water she smiled all to herself. "Wonder how much harder it's gonna get?" Hopefully not to much at least. That would terrible if it got to hard for them but a little challenge was welcomed. Edited January 20, 2013 by Rixku
Master Juan 574 Posted January 20, 2013 (edited) (On my signups I posted theme songs. This is Bowen's high tension theme, so I'm testing it to see how well it compliments the dialogue. Just saying if you're wondering why there's a song on here!) "Ugh!" I exclaimed out loud then breathed heavily, regaining my composure. It was tempting to contact my "Superior", but while I'm doing that, I might possibly miss an event taking place in the situation that could give away our status away to the others, so I couldn't afford to do that. No no no. My task was to cover up for the others to make sure the simulations had no indication of a higher power controlling them. The only way Tessaline's knowledge (and any other Simulations that may know so) from spreading to the others was simple.... She needed to be eradicated so she was incapable of doing so! A smirk came upon my face, and I started laughing. "Heheheheh... Hahaha!! AHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!!!" It was brilliant! .........My overall goal was to ensure that a minimum of one simulation adapted and survived...... I didn't have to do all three. Besides, there could be only one winner, and obviously the other Programmers were just making their selves obvious by the looks of it, almost as if they had somehow managed to read my task specifically and were taking extra measures to ensure I could not achieve it. That's highly unlikely however, but if they're going to make it hard for me, then I'm going to make it hard for them. I slowly stopped laughing and pressed the button on my microphone once again. "Never mind, that won't be necessary ." I turned it back off and cracked my knuckles. Alright, this means war. I don't know who specifically you Programmers are, but I'll make quite the distinction between myself and the other, and you'll be able to tell its me. Based solely on my wrath. Let's begin, shall we? I magnified the screen and spotted all three of the simulations. Tessaline was about passed out on the beach. Another simulation was trying to collect water with what appeared to be a shell, and the name, "Cassidy" appeared above her head. So Cassidy and Tessaline eh? I thought there was a third simulation, but I couldn't seem to find him/ her anywhere. Just then I noticed Cassidy smiling to herself. See! If I had ontacted the Superior, I might have missed her grin and would have never been tipped off! I made the right decision then. It must be true then. The people who created these simulations must have already given the m the knowledge that their enviorment is being controlled by Programmers. That means they set me up for failure with my task! But whatever, I'll play a long with their little game. A measly five million wouldn't make a difference compared to one billion. Besides, I'd get a new task tomorrow, so I might as well disregard my current one. Cassidy was facing the water, so using the sand behind her, I carved the words, "I'm God. I'm always watching you. Follow my orders, and I'll favor you. This is your only chance. We'll get in touch." I made a few buckets appear by the the words (to assist her in collecting water) as further proof to back my validity. Hopefully when she turned around and read this, she'd choose to side with me. Obi-wan 411 Posted January 20, 2013 'There determined aren't they? If it's not gonna be easy for me then it won't be easy for them.' Smirking to herself she ignored the buckets. Far to big to carry around everywhere. Looking at the words she quirked an eyebrow. 'No easy siding for you.' Rubbing the words out of the sand she took her stick to leave a nice message of her own. "If it ain't easy for me to get what I want then you ain't having it easy either Programmer." Scrunching her eyebrows together again she dropped the stick before grabbing the two shells of water sealed so the water wouldn't leak out. Walking away from her work to head toward the forest a feeling of relief washing over her. Hopefully her message would get through. 'You ain't god programmer. So do us bother a favor. Prove it.' A simple message left in the sand. Might have just proved her opinion of this place.

Arya Stark 1,337 Posted January 20, 2013 (edited) Silver climbed through the jungle, her pack on her back. She had decided to put clues inside instead of the items. She would need them and she wasn't very concerned with carrying other things. Silver would find a way to manage. But right now, she would need to continue hunting for food. Silver ducked under a low branch and saw a river. She kneeled and put her fingers in the water. The river was flowing, which meant if it was fresh, she could drink it. Silver brought her fingers up to her lips and licked them. Fresh. She had found a water source, and a possible food source if there fish. Silver looked around for something she could use to fish. (Sorry guys, been really sick lately, and posting just hasn't been something that I wanted to do.) Edited January 20, 2013 by Yuffie Kisaragi
Master Juan 574 Posted January 20, 2013 I shook my head in disappointment. She wanted me to prove it? As if. I'd find it much more amusing to suddenly ignore her and instead find a different simulation. I made a wave come up a little extra on the shore and it wiped out the words she had written in the sand, carrying the buckets into the currents of the ocean. I made the rain in the storm stop, but made the lightning appear faster than ever. Zooming out on the island once again, I continued to search for the location of that third simulation. I rubbed my eyes and continued searching. After a few minutes, I finally discovered the last Humanoid AI simulation. Above her read the name, "Silver". Silver, eh? That name had a ring to it, kind of rolls off the tongue. Let's see what she's thinking shall we? I typed a command into the keyboard and her thoughts appeared on the other screen where I kept all of my recorded documents. She needed something to fish with? I could easily provide that, but how do I know she won't just reject my gifts like Cassidy had? I could even use the lightning to make a fire for her to cook the fish on! Perhaps I should take it slow with this one, not revealing my presence to Silver until the appropriate time, yet giving her slight notions of the existence of someone higher. She was hiding under a branch. That gave me an idea. I thought it and a few seconds later, a branch from a tree about 6 feet tall, yet really thin broke off and landed in front of her. I placed several vines on the trees around her too, but I wouldn't give that to her right away, that would for sure reveal me. All the pieces were there, all she had to do was put them together. Hopefully you'll make the right choice and adapt, SIlver. I'll check on you later, but for now I need to catch up on my sleep. I pressed a separate record button and the image on the screen began to record. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
MagicallyAngelic 2 Posted January 20, 2013 (edited) (( Time for tasks, and yes, the first clues. Programmers your character's CANT read them. I'm setting it up to inform you they will be here once I edit them. But they have to sound cool first. )) All of a sudden, the island filled with noise, sounding like a very loud, very low-flying jet-plane. The sky, covered in clouds, concealed the image of the source of the sound, but it filled the island, scaring animals and shocking the simulations. A voice came on, in each of the simulation's minds. "Hello. You all have been placed here for reasons unknown to you. And you have been given 2 chances to escape. You each have a programmer assigned to you, and you each have a person connection to that programmer. Your clues will be revealed to you now." Because we cannot expect you to know by now, you will be given a series of hints, clues, if you will. They will not relate to your programmer exactly, but the time of your life that you met them, and the effects that they've had on you. Good luck.' There is nothing special attached to the note, no slip of paper, or box. Rather, there is a sketch on the back, of a box of crayons. ------------------------------- (Tasks) A message appears on your screen, with the voice flicking on in your headset. "Hello programmers, it is time for your next task. whether you have completed, or failed, your first task, we have decided not to remove any money from your bank account. This is a special event. And a reward of 5 million will be given to the first person to succeed in their task. You will be given the opportunity to read the other's tasks. As they are enclosed in the message." ... The message box beeps, showing three new messages. "If none of you complete the task, you will all lose half of your remaining balance. These sets are for teamwork, one of you wins, or all of you lose. Good luck!" Amber Ashley --- This is a message only for your eyes. We suggest you work together, and do not try to force others to fail, because, if that is the case, then you all will lose a large portion of your money. Amber Ashley's task is following.Your personality is strong, largely cruel and vindictive. So your task, is to care. You will care for the simulations. If you do not choose to do this task, multiple abilities will be removed for this part of the game. You cannot create anything, however, if it is already there, or another programmer creates it for you, you may manipulate it and use it. You will care for them, be sure they can find the ability to hunt, create shelter, and care for themselves. This means all of them, and if one of them fail, if only for a minute, you will fail. Tomorrow the clock will begin ticking. Even if you fail, your abilities will not be restored until next week. Bowen Korber --- This is a message only for your eyes. Van Fabre's task is following. You are a kind, gentle person. As such, your last role was protector. Now, however, your role will be controller. Each of the other programmers have been limited, as such, we felt you should gain more abilities. You have been granted the ability to restrict the other programmers access to the simulation. You will play god not to the simulations, but you will also play god to the programmers. Your task is simple, you are the law. The simulations cannot be manipulated, or influenced by the vindictive nature of a programmer, nor can the neutral programmer create obstacles. And you will enforce laws, which are enclosed in another attachment. Remember, all programmers can see this. Laws: A simulation cannot build their own shelter, and only one shelter may exist on the island at a time. A simulation cannot fish or hunt for food, and must find their food among the plants or dead animals. Any programmers with restricted access can only see the simulation for 2-4 hours a day. The hours they can be online (Whether specific times, or just a timer) can be edited using your //:edit tool. No simulation, no matter their influence can speak, or communicate in any way with each other, or a programmer. No simulation can interact with another, in any way, whether by sight or ear. (( Is it bad I'm enjoying this so much? This is fun... )) (( I do apologize for limiting abilities, and the really long post. Silvia Kuroi 1,480 Posted January 20, 2013 "Eh?" Van murmured, looking at a new message the had appeared. He gasped upon reading the message, his glasses nearly falling off his face. "I have to be... God? I..I. can't do that." Van protested. It was against his nature to control others, he was better just working solo, or even better- working with the full aid of another. But never having power of someone else. "Can I really go through with this?" Van said out loud, looking around the claustrophobic room he was in. "...I'll try. But I won't like it." Van finally said, memorizing the Laws that had been created.
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted January 20, 2013 As Silver continued to ponder her situation, a loud noise could be heard, and a box fell from the sky. "What?" she asked. Silver read the note, and discarded it. The note wasn't important, but the box was. it was a rather small box, covered in some sort of silk. She opened it to find a rose petal and some chocolate. The immediate connotation was obvious, flowers and chocolate? A symbol of romance if there ever was one. Could her programmer be a past boyfriend? It was the closest lead she had so far, but she had to keep an open mind. Silver put the box with the petal and chocolate inside her pack, and continued with her search for something to fish with. It was then that she realized a branch had fallen to the forest floor. Fantastic. All she needed now was some string. She looked around to see some vines growing on a tree trunk. Perfect. Was this luck, or the programmers?
Master Juan 574 Posted January 21, 2013 (edited) The beeping of the message interrupted my sleep and once again, I bolted up and rubbed my eyes. Recognizing the format of the message, I grabbed the glasses and began to read it, jotting down notes on the separate monitor so I could remember the Laws. I didn't know if I was allowed to do that, but just to be safe, I took a screenshot of the message I had typed (so that the camera could read it without the glasses), then deleted the file itself, the picture being the only remaining thing. I gave it a different name and tucked it away deep within a folder, hoping I could keep it hidden from the Superiors. My task on the other hand, was to instill fear in the Simulations themselves? HA! That'd be too easy. I could make things, but couldn't move any objects or influence anything (like how I'd written words in the sand earlier). Oh no, Silver was about to fish for food. That would directly violate a law! I knew a way to support my task AND stop her from fishing. Under the river she was by, I created several vicious piranhas and threw in a few electric eels in there, just as insurance if the piranhas didn't scare her of. I made the piranhas incredibly hungry, so they'd be ready to attack. Go ahead Silver....... finish your pole and fish. Obi-wan 411 Posted January 21, 2013 Was she brilliant? Well, now she was at the very least halfway smart. Holding her trusted stick from her body the other end aglow with flames. 'Let's try this again. Food, shelter, and finish off the list with sleep.' Oh boy this ought to be a lot of fun. The message she had received still bugged her. A drawling of crayons. Color was the first thing she thought of. A passion struck second. Along with interest taking for the third thought. "Why give me a drawling? Of something long ago?" It was her only lead so far but she had her thoughts on who they may be. 'One or two more clues then I can figure it out. Who they are and why.'

"I don't like this whole God thing...how am I supposed to complete this?" He murmured, sitting back in his chair as he folded his arms over his chest, "So far, no one has done anything that requires me to do much of anything." Van complained outloud, sighing with a grumble. Rubbing his face, he pushed his glasses further up the bridge of his nose as he continued his uninteligable grumbling.
