FFX HD could have the CGI graphics for all cutscenes - Possible reason for no information/delay

Recommended Posts

Don't they have to pay someone else to make CGI cutscenes because they don't know how?

That sounds liek it would have sooomee price xD

The CGI cutscenes were made like 13 years ago. I'm sure Square Enix could easily make those in HD now.

It's a possibility I considered. The main FF team IS working on it for some reason

Honestly though, remastering all the existing CG and prerendered backgrounds would probably take long enough anyways

Maybe, but I think it would be strange to transition from an Cgi cutscene one second to HD Ps2 graphics the next. But that's just me.

Do you know if the team that made the Cgi sequences was the same one that made them for the first Kh games? If they were, are they gonna use the new company that worked on Kh3d?

Oh I'm fully aware of Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5 ReMIX-. I upload screenshots of it regularly.

You can't just say "1.5" and expect someone to know what you're talking about.

Ouch, I say 1.5 all the time.

Riiiiiiiight...like SE would ever take the time to do that.

CGI graphics are gonna be next-gen, honey.

These CGI graphics are not. These are CGI graphics from approx 13 years ago. And they have to do something about the cutscenes considering the state they are in.

I still doubt they are going to remake the whole game using those CG graphics in real-time. If they'll produce a game similar and possibly a bit better than the graphics of FFXIII-2, I'll be satisfied.

They're aren't remaking the game. They have confirmed it a remaster. We're talking about the cutscenes being remade in HD. Like what they did for 358/2 Day's cutscenes.

Wait, now I'm kind of confused. Are you talking about remaking every cutscene in the CGI used during, say, the Blitzball scenes at teh start of the game

Or just prerendered ingame graphics in HD, like Days

All cutscenes in the game remade in HD. Simple as that.

Whatever it is, remaster. My point still stands.

The HD is a given. But you also mentioned CGI, which evokes the image of the prerendered, high quality scenes from the game
