They're under some contract agreement which means they must keep releasing them on the PS2 until it ends.

I bought a PS2 twice. First time, I bought it to buy Kingdom Hearts after a friend let me play it. After that, I think the disc reader/lens broke So I bought another one for KH2 when it came out. I guess you could say I bought 2 PS2s just for Kingdom Hearts. My favorite console, so happy I still have mine, amazing library and memories.

Oh, didn't know that. Guess that makes sense then... They'd probably be best off transferring that to PS3 if possible though, PS2's pretty much a dead system now.

They always release them on the PS3. They've done it since they've launched the PS3. It's just because of some contract agreement they must still release it on the PS2 as well.

I still have my PS2, I still have my KH games. I don't see why I should care that it's out of production when I've no need to buy one. Good console though. Shame they've stopped production anyway.

Kh was the reason I got a ps2, and it is my favorite series but this is the way things happen. The new generation replaces the old, 1.5 will replace Kh1, Kh2, and Kh Re: Com.
