Anime | Manga Pokémon

I'm big fan of Pokémon and Digimon, I've played games and watched the anime from both of them. But while Pokémon is getting good now with BW, BW2 and the new XY, I felt that the last season of Digimon, Xros Wars, wasn't that good, I think it's possibly my least favourite season, and I've seen it completely but I didn't like it that much.

My childhood was Pokemon, Digimon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! as my animes, and they still are. I do miss Digimon, but it is now on itunes so I will be able to watch it again. Firetruck this. I love Digimon and Pokemon. The pokemon anime and games probably made my childhood better than DIgimon, but right now, Pokemon the anime is just missing 'it'. I kinda actually liked the Digimon games, and the first ever season of Digimon and Frontier [anime] were my faves.

 

Right now, I forgot all about Digimon. But really, think about other similar shows/games. Bakugan/ Battle B-Daman/ Beyblade/ Cardfight quite a few anime and games revolved around the same idea, you cant basically tell everyone copied each other. It's like telling all other Fantasy and magical girl animes copied Sailor Moon

I used to love Pokemon back when it was 151, but after that the Pokemon looked...not good. And the names? I know there werent some winners in the first 151, but the later ones didnt seem like they were trying.  *adjusts hipster glasses*

 

And the fact that Ash never changed, or hit puberty......he hasnt hit puberty yet has he?

 

I did love Digimon though. It was a lot more serious, more mature even to me.  But like Pokemon after a couple more seasons it didnt start to appeal to me any more.

Exactly! My friend was like "Why don't you like season 2?" and I was like "Davis... nuff said."

But I do like both Pokemon and Digimon, grew up on both. I do think I'm slightly more of a Pokemon fan though...

That's not true.  If you watch any of the gym battles or battles in the PL after season 2, you'll see that Ash has really grown as a trainer and that he's not that way too over confident trainer kid that doesn't quite know what he's doing anymore.

It's a cartoon.  Most cartoon characters don't change physically at all.  In my opinion it's not that big of a deal.

Its really not...a big deal for me. I was just stating a fact. And theres a few cartoons where the characters do age and change appearance. 

 

 

Besides, it isnt the main reason I stopped watching the show....I just lost interest. And the Pokemon started to suck.

Yeah, I als grew up with them both (though I don't really like to be moved by nostalgia), but I like Pokemon more than Digimon, it feels... I don't know, it's not the same, you can't really compare too much the two of them, but when I play Pokemon I feel like I am closer to them, I don't really feel that with Digimon games.

posted this to see if the title would get ppl attention,lol, but lately I've really come to hate Pokemon more and more,maybe its because I'm on a Digimon "high".Most likely though i don't think i'll ever buy a pokemon game again.

 

Oh and for anyone here who thinks digimon copied pokemon and its ****,Digimon idea was first,they made something for it but i forgot the name(check it up if u want to) so Digimon came out first but the anime came out a year after,cause that's when they decided to do one.

 

Not saying pokemon copied digimon,thats not what i was implying.

Well Pokemon has the manga too, Pokemon Adventures/Special, and that's a great great manga! I wish the anime was half as good as the manga.

Animes are cartoons in the sense that they are had drawn and not live action.

If a new pokemon TV series was released based off how they advertised 5th gen on TV, I'd prepare for each episode like Jesus' second coming was about to happen. I'm tired of frikkin Ash always being the main protagonist and never getting old and always firetruckin' ditching his past gen pokemon behind like a douche.
