Tails 6,692 Posted January 10, 2013 (edited) It appears Animal Crossing: New Leaf sparked more Nintendo 3DS sales. Famitsu reports 3DS sales (that’s regular 3DS and 3DS XL) reached 10,068,192 units as of January 6, 2013. Nintendo 3DS launched in Japan on February 26, 2011. What’s interesting is the "Animal Crossing" effect as detailed by Famitsu. Animal Crossing: New Leaf came out on November 8 and 3DS sales continued to rise peaking at over 400,000 units on the fourth week in December.
