Paranoia 494 Posted January 9, 2013 When it comes to games that only work with a 4-direction movement, I prefer the D-pad. But with more modern games, I prefer the stick.
Hei 3,233 Posted January 9, 2013 I could not imagine using the analog for a fighting game, it just feels weirdo But I prefer analog when it comes to full on 3D. 1 Rob reacted to this
dusk 910 Posted January 9, 2013 Depends on game, but generally I go with analog when it comes to most of PS3 games I play.

Amon 4,279 Posted January 9, 2013 D-pads only support movement in 4 directions, 8 if they allow two buttons to be pressed at once. Analog sticks support motion in an infinite number of directions (due to being circular and all). It's clear which is better. 1 Xian Cano reacted to this
hatok 6,413 Posted January 9, 2013 Not sure why people aren't choosing depends on the game. I wouldn't play a 2D platformer with an analog stick, and I wouldn't played a 3D one with a D Pad D-pads only support movement in 4 directions, 8 if they allow two buttons to be pressed at once. Analog sticks support motion in an infinite number of directions (due to being circular and all). It's clear which is better. 360 directions* 1 Xian Cano reacted to this
Jim 2,990 Posted January 9, 2013 I use the D-Pad, especially when I'm playing KH. Funnily enough, Sora never seems to want to move when I try to make him. 1 Demyx. reacted to this

DragonMaster 1,166 Posted January 9, 2013 Depends on the game really. I guess analog stick, seeing as how most of the games I play are better with/require analog control.
