xionroxasaxel 20 Posted January 8, 2013 So, I just got this game yesterday, but I won't get my PSP console until this weekend. I have decided to blog every week about my adventures with Zack (ex. how I react to certain things, for the stupid mistakes I make in gameplay)...so if anyone's interested, follow this! Will be updated in the next week!

Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted January 8, 2013 It's a brilliant game; I hope you enjoy it! P.S.: it's even more enjoyable if you've played FF7 first, so that way you're familiar with the whole outcome of the characters you're seeing in the prologue. 1 axele reacted to this

xionroxasaxel 20 Posted January 20, 2013 Crisis Core: Part One Sorry about not posting for a while...didn't know I needed a memory stick in order to save my progress! Anyway, here is my first post: PART ONE: The Beginning The main menu video is amazing! What makes it better...is that Reno was in it! I had no freaking clue he was going to be in Crisis Core! Ahem...let's get away from the fangirl moment and cut to the chase. We start out with a CGI (congrats to the animators for making Zack superbly gorgeous!) scene involving our hero, protagonist, main character...whatever you want to call him...Zack Fair. He is on a mission to regain control of a hi-jacked train. You can't help but love Zack's “Oh, yeah!” as he jumps from a helicopter to solve the problem. He lands on the train and begins to fight (Note: wish I could run like he does for track!!!); and, as most SOLDIERs typically do, he saves the day. Zack jumps from said train to platform with an amazing grace that would even make old church ladies' ovaries explode. Then, formidable music begins to play (if I hear this when I get off a train, I'm going to cross my fingers that Zack will be there to save me!) and Zack fights Wutai troops who are disguised as Shinra infantrymen. After this fight, Zack runs up a flight of stairs...and encounters (insert heavy rock music here) a Behemoth! Whoa, whoa, whoa...I thought Behemoths were big, purple...things! Okay, well, let's fight this pussy! The conflict is resolved...(anyone else think this gets a little annoying!?) and a wild Sephiroth appears. Sephiroth cuts Zack's sword in two and prepares for the kill. But we all know you can't kill the hero right away!! So...we switch back to CGI to find Angeal has saved Zack's sorry little butt. The mission is aborted...and Sephiroth's not real!? The whole mission was fake?? C'mon...Zack was just getting warmed up! Meanwhile, we go to what I call the SOLDIER hangout. Zack is doing squat exercises (can your panting get any more erotic, dearie?). Anyway, Zack is told by a fellow SOLDIER named Kunsel that there has been a mass desertion. Zack meets Lazard, director of SOLDIER (very fancy with the clothing, sir!). Lazard informs Zack that a 1st Class SOLDIER named Genesis is missing. Angeal recommends Zack for 1st (and Zack's cute puppy side comes through in his teenage laugh and adorable hug!) “Don't make me regret this, Zack.” Come on, Angeal! Then, Zack goes through some boring stuff...a mission, reading mail, tutorials, blah blah blah. Finally, our hero prepares to leave for Wutai. Zack tells Lazard that he dreams of becoming a hero. Lazard tells him that unattainable dreams are the best kind. The best part is...Zack doesn't even get offended!!! Okay...so this is just my first post. I am currently in Banora, so yes, my posts will be WAY SLOWER than my gameplay! My thoughts summed up: Music: The Crisis Core theme definitely fits the game. It says, “I want to be a hero, and I will sacrifice my life to save the world!” The formidable music which plays at the train station is totally perfect for the scene. The battle music for the Behemoth is okay (I'm not a super huge rock fan). And I really don't care for the Shinra building music. Loop after loop after loop... Graphics/Gameplay: I have always been a huge fan of CGI animation ever since I watched Advent Children! And when the game switches back to regular graphics...it's pretty sweet. The gameplay is great; the combat and commands are very simple and effective. I also love the Modulating Phase sequences! Power up, baby! Dialogue/Voice Actors/Characters: Zack Fair: Zack has the kind of personality that makes all girls fall head over heels and all guys respect him (at least in this world...not necessarily Gaia.) His gorgeous looks complement his wonderful disposition. At times, he has an overconfident attitude which gets him into trouble...but who cares!? He's a 2nd Class SOLDIER! “Oh, yeah!” Angeal Hewley: Zack's mentor. He also has the...wait! So, Angeal's gonna die!? Angeal...to Zack...to Cloud. Man, I wish I didn't have that epiphany! Why do all the good-willing men have to die? Anyway, Angeal is a 1st Class SOLDIER who deeply cares about his honor. He has the personality of a stern yet kind teacher who respects his pupils. “Zack...embrace your dreams...and honor.” Kunsel: I'm not really sure whether this SOLDIER is key to the story or not...um...moving on! Sephiroth: Well, first off, Sephiroth scares me! Always has and always will! I don't care about supposed “he was a hero” stuff. Sorry, Sephiroth fans...I see pure ignorance...and evil. Yet that's what makes the character so interesting. I mean, I guess we wouldn't have FFVII without Sephiroth...did I mention his voice is super creepy? “Overconfidence will destroy you.” Lazard: Director of SOLDIER. Honestly, he's one of those characters my dad would mistake for a woman. (He mistook Reno for a girl once and I flipped!) Anyway, I have these suspicions about Lazard. Is he going to be crucial throughout the story...or not? Nobody answer that! “Unattainable dreams are the best kind.” So there we have it! My first thoughts on Crisis Core! Ultima Weapon 71 Posted January 22, 2013 But of course Reno had to be there >u< And I liked the music to especially the 'Sunny afternoon' theme (I think that is the name, I'm not sure ) And yeah Zack is gorgeous, he is the reason I played the game. keep going! xionroxasaxel 20 Posted January 28, 2013 Crisis Core: Part Two Here's number two! Part Two: No, You're A Dumbapple Previously, on Crisis Core...our hero and his mentor left Midgar and traveled to Wutai. Now, they are there...and Zack, being who he is, tries to impress Director Lazard with his skills. Then, out of nowhere, Angeal asks Zack about dumbapples. Of course Zack doesn't know (and neither do I!) But NOOO...Angeal decides to play a game with the mind...it's called the “come run after me and fight creatures along the way” game. Who's the dumbapple now!? Finally, poor Zacky-poo catches up and Angeal tells the story. Banora Whites are “affectionately called dumbapples” because of their random growing season (Note: My sister and I call each other dumbapples every once in a while.) Angeal says he kept his honor since he didn't steal any apples from his best friend's parents' trees. But, as usual, Zack is totally confuzzled by the moral: honor can be quite a burden...at times. Zack and Angeal arrive to a site and wait for a bomb to go off. The plan is...well, who knows if Zack's even listening (And? And, and, and, and?) Shut up, Za—holy crap! There goes the bomb! Heightened emotions affect the DMW! Say what!? Please don't do anything stupid, Zack! So, everything else is pretty much combat; Zack goes into the Wutai base and fights SOLDIERs. Did you catch that? Just seeing if you're paying attention:-) He fights Wutai troops and these...um...lion...clown...snake things. Where do the creators get the idea for these weird creatures!? Do they wake up one morning and say, “Ooh, that thing chasing me in my dream last night...let's put that in Crisis Core!” Well, anyway, he gets done fighting (“Piece of cake!”) and gets a call from Lazard, who tells him how well he's doing. Anyone else think he's telling Zack this stuff just to convert him to the Dark Side later on? Just me? Darn! Zack goes to a Wutai fort and encounters Wutai generals who attempt to tell him that what Shinra does to the planet is wrong. It's TRUE, though...Shinra is depriving the planet of life! Do the SOLDIERs know what's happening and not care!? Sorry if I sound Team AVALANCE all the way...wait. I'm both Team AVALANCHE and Team Turks!? How the heck did that happen? Anyway, Zack kills the generals...and a wild Yuffie appears! That just made my day! Seeing her as a little kid is so adorable! And watching Zack interact with her (“Aw, you got me!”) made my heart melt instantly. Yuffie leaves, and Zack goes inside the main fort, where he fights these huge troll things. That battle wasn't even that hard! Yay, Zack! We did—holy crap! Another one!? C'mon, Zack, wesa got dis, okee-day? Or not...get up! Get up, Za—Angeal! Thank you! You saved my butt! Sorry if there's any wear, tear, or rust on your sword. (“Zack...you're more important than my sword.”) Glad to hear it! So, there we have it! I'm currently in Junon on gameplay:-) Graphics/Gameplay: Man, I miss my CGI scenes already! Graphics are still very good...I can't imagine all the work that goes into every detail! And gameplay is still very great...it's easy to use! But, I'm probably going to regret saying that once I start playing Crisis Core on hard mode... Music: I'm really not a fan of the Wutai theme or battle music...I mean, it fits the mood so perfectly, but I'm just not feeling it. “I'm feeling it!” Shut up, Zack! I'm not! Characters: Thoughts on If They Were Real... Zack Fair: You have to love Zack's attitude! I mean, he's so excited and carefree! The other day, I questioned what the world would be like if Zack was real. And I decided that it would be a better place by far! He's the guy you'd see on the Ellen Degeneres show, laughing away about the different adventures he's been on...and you'd be like, “Wow! This guy...he's awesome!” Everyone would admire him...except for criminals. They'd be screwed ten times over 'cause they ain't got nothing on this puppy! “And? And, and, and, and?” What else can I say, Zack? You're great! “Oh, yeah!” Angeal Hewley: Once again, Angeal is a father figure for Zack. He cares for him like a son. If Angeal were real...ooh...that's a toughie. He'd probably be the one who'd make sure Zack didn't do anything crazy (like renting out the Staples Center for a girl's birthday!) I mean, who'd do something like that? Ahem I think he'd also have his own show about embracing dreams and honor...he'd be REALLY good at that. “But I didn't steal from those trees...because that man's son was my friend.” Yuffie Kisaragi: And last, but definitely not least, we have Yuffie. She has a mind-blowing spirit! If she were real, she'd probably fit right in with my group of friends! They do the craziest things at times...but they're always there for me:-) “Kill ugly SOLDIER dudes!” Epiphany: So, I've always wondered what it would be like to be a part of the FFVII story line. It'd be a really wonderful experience to meet Cloud, Zack, Tifa, Aerith, and everyone else...except Sephiroth...keep away...far away! This game has by far changed my life! It's funny...I played Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded and wondered who the heck Cloud Strife was. I did my research, bought Advent Children, watched it, and got...well, hardly any of the story line. After playing some of Crisis Core, I'm beginning to understand the story more and more! Once I actually play FFVII, I will hopefully understand everything!!! 1 axele reacted to this
