KH2 Has anyone noticed if other Organization members have gold eyes?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone noticed if the other organization XIII members eyes are golden from darkness (I mean apart from Xigbar and Xemnas ). I don't remember if Xigbar's eyes were golden though at the time of KH2 were they ? Just answer if you have noticed anything...

although only xemnas xigbar and saix were golden eyed, every organization member was more or less xehanortified. You can realize it due to their evil intentions, when their somebodies are good. Noone knows about marluxia and larxene though.

Braig's eyes were brown, then towards the end of BBS they turned yellow (MX had consumed him) and since then his eyes were yellow in all other games far as I noticed (they are yellow in KH2).

Isa's were blue, in KH2 they appear yellow, I'm checking days scenes now but they appear amber/yellow in his conversation with Axel about saving "the puppet", so I assume he succumbed soon after falling/maybe just before falling into the darkness, whereas Axel didn't (still has his gorgeous green eyes).

I'm guessing the members who had golden eyes are mainly the ones you'd expect teaming up with Xehanort even as somebodies again I think they are still in darkness while the rest who probably never had those colored eyes ((The ones you see in the lab with Axel in a certain cut-scene on KH 3D. Are probably the people who are now back to the light ^^ so I suppose the rest of them who were'nt with axel are either teamed with Xemnas or they're out there somewhere I guess :/

I noticed but didn't think any importance in it. I mainly paid attention to people with blue eyes in the good quality scenes, I can remember Olete's eyes being awesome with detail so good. Anyway back on topic, no i didn't notice that

I'm pretty sure the significance of the eyes had changed over the course of the series' development, likely becoming altered from the 'full submission to darkness' to signifying Xehanort's influence/heart. Nomura was likely aping Star Wars , wherein dark amber/yellow eyes signified one's turn to the dark side of the force.

It's probable that Nomura's decision to make the eye change a sign of Xehanort's possession did not arise until BBS was well into development.

Recall, for instance, that Terra was originally supposed to get yellow eyes before confronting Old Xehanort (the KH2FM secret movie/BBS opening movie). However, in BBS the game, the eyes are a reveal of Xehanort possessing his body.

(Lucas similarly retconned the significance of the eyes by showing Palpatine's transition from Senator to Sith Lord with corresponding eye color change as a consequence of him getting electrocuted.)

Furthermore, as many noticed, there is the whole thing with Braig's eye changing (and his ears turning pointy). Indeed, BBS established a vaguely defined deal between Braig and Xehanort and Nomura explained that Xehanort was influencing Braig in an interview.

The game itself does imply that Braig is a Xeha-clone. Aside from the Close-up of his new eye prior to his battle to Aqua, it is notable that his boss battle now features him making 'dark teleports', which are identical to Xehanort's and Terranort's.

His dialogue with Aqua post-battle also features a few interesting lines:

I keep forgetting - don't mess with keyblade wielders. But you know what? That just means I made the right choice!

Braig's line here suggests that he made the choice to become a keyblade wielder. So, basically, to become a Xeha-clone.

There are a lot of holes, however, in regard to this schema.

For one thing, how the hell did Xehanort transfer his heart into Braig? Supposedly, he needs access to Kingdom Hearts to accomplish this and his original body would vanish upon completion of the transfer (as the Terra thing demonstrated).

For another, Braig 2.0 states in 3D that the whole (retconned) plan for the Organization was to "round up a bunch of empty husks, hook them up to KH, then fill them all with the same heart and mind."

Supposedly, then, to become a Xeha-clone, he would need to have first become a Nobody. But the thing is, Braig became a Xeha-clone before he became Xigbar. So, wouldn't he have lost his Nort-ified heart upon becoming a nobody (as the 3D opening movie demonstrates)? What was the point of even having all the Apprentices become nobodies and work towards KH if Xehanort could've nortified them like he had nortified Braig?

In other words, the new plan for the Organization makes no sense.

Yup, yup, taking everything into consideration I reckon that the eyecolor thing changed over time, especially when you consider that Heartless have yellow eyes and so did Ansem SoD so that's probably where the idea came from in the first place. Curiously, Xemnas has orange eyes like Ansem the Wise though so that's something to ponder.

Xehanort just takes a bit of his heart and transfers it over, via , his Keyblade. We see him try to do it to Sora in 3D. Apparently Xehanort just needs to concentrate and he can do it that way.  ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Braig is the only one I'm confused about because as far as I can see there really was no reason to turn him into a Nobody. To be Nortified one has to completely submit themselves or have no will/sense of self, be "empty", or "asleep", for the process to work. Ultimately, one can be Nortified even when they have their heart still, it's just easier without it. Besides Braig, Vanitas also has golden eyes that imply he too is a Nort and he clearly has a heart and Xehanort tried to Nortify Sora while he was in an uber deep sleep.

I never thought about that. But it makes perfect sense. Faux-sem was always a heartless or heartless-type being. Then again, didn't Shadow Sora have green eyes?

No? He had yellow eyes like all Shadow Heartless. Making him look different would detract from the point that only Kairi could tell him apart from the sea of Heartless because of their connection.

Nope. Only Saix and Xigbar have yellow eyes, and Xemnas of course...

I guess those are the only ones that are confirmed to be controlled by Xehanort, but Xaldin is also a good candidate as well as Vexen. Those two aren't stable in KH3D, and they have weird humor. Vexen is very annoying compared to the Even that was seen in BbS, that seemed kinda aware of Light and Darkness, and Xaldin as well, but these two became kinda sadists as nobodies.

But that's just a theory. A game theory

I think the whole yellow eye thing other than having a direct connection to Xehanort means that the heart has more Darkness in it then it does Light.  Only thinkg that helps me back this up in my own opinion is how innocent Isa is prior to having a Nort heart put in him.  Since Heartless are hearts succumbing to darkness it only seems to make sense they closer you are to filling your heart with complete darkness the more your eyes become yellow.
