Am I the only one who likes Sora more after KH1?

I feel like I'm the only person who likes Sora more after KH1. Everyone says that he got more stupid after KH1, but I honestly never got that impression. In CoM, Sora's memories are getting played around with. In KH2, Sora knows he has to defeat the Organization, but he has less clues of where to go. In DDD, Sora had no clue that he could be tracked down and he didn't have a resistance to darkness because Sora never had to deal with his darkness other than using his crappy anti form, unlike Riku, who was forced to deal with his darkness because of his past mistakes. 

 

Is it just me who likes Sora more after KH1? Comments/thoughts on this?

I liked him better KH2 to be honest. He was more bad-ass and wasn't being so nice and stuff. He was accepting his responsibility and was a bit more ruthless as compared to his original childish nature

KH2 Sora + CoM Riku, personality wise, would be the best combo in my opinion.

I liked him too. Only because he managed to defeat bigger threats like the old Organization XIII . After KH2 though i did not like him. Is it because he didn't manage to stop Xehanort and his new plan for the Keyblade War or is it because he did not become a keyblade master ? I don't know . In KH3 I think i will like him as the whole game which will end up to a small keyblade war as Mr.Nomura had planned with all this confusing story in the series so far .......

Depends on what you mean. It seems your referring to those who don't like his personality change, rather than every aspect of him. In Kh1 his retort to Ansem SOD of "Oh yeah? Well you'll see. I'm gonna get out and learn what's out there!" makes me cringe at how lame he is. He get's pretty BA in Com though so I like him more after Kh1 as well. His Kh2 personality is a nice mixture of him in Kh1 and Com. In DDD, he's more like his Kh1 self even in personality. The scene where Neku says " I brought you Sora, we had a bargain." and Sora asking Neku what was wrong springs to mind. But when provoked he still has some of his Com attitude. I'm guessing you don't count Data-Sora either. As for other in-universe reasons to like him not relating to personality: he can use 2 keyblades now, I like his clothing in Kh2 and DDD more than in Kh1, and the drive forms are pretty awesome. Out of universe, his voice sounds better to me after Kh1.

I prefer Sora in KH2. He is more caring and stronger there, also... he is 20% cooler in there.

I liked both Sora and Riku in KH1. I liked them both in COM. Then in KH2, my favorite was Roxas, then Sora(even with all the badassness), and at last Riku(he went emo).

I liked him more in some respects but then disliked him in others. As DJ369 pointed out Sora throughout the series has been sort of...Bipolar to say the least. One game he'll be generally smart, albeit naive, but other wise a dorky and laid back guy but then in another game he'll suddenly be snarky, have anger issues but be a moron. He's personality can be hard to pinpoint because his character doesn't really seem to have a natural progression, he's not supposed to be a character that develops much, rather, he's supposed to be simple but well rounded and likable but he changes every game depending on the writer and how they feel like making him for that game.

 

The only things that seem consistent about his personality IMO is that he's a good guy but naive. I'm looking at it from a broad prospective, but yeah, that's the gist. All things considered I don't think I like him "more" after KH1. He's just written in a weird way that when ever he losses a positive quality (what I consider positive) it's replaced with something negative (what I consider negative) and vice versa. e.g. in the first game he was relatively smart but very innocent and dorky but in KH2 he seems to have lost brain cells during his year hibernation but is much more cocky and thinks he's though shit.

 

Honestly, I think Sora is dorky in EVERY game (I didn't find KH2!Sora particularly "bad ass") just in different ways. I liked him most in KH1 and CoM though. After that is when he starting a bit iffy for me.

I wanted to slap CoM Sora, and KH2 Sora made me roll my eyes so many times that I actually got dizzy.

On the other hand, KH1 Sora was a good balance, and little Sora from BbS had me smiling from all that cute.

Nope, not just you; I didn't really like Sora till KH2.  I mean, he was "okay" in KH1, but he didn't really have much of a personality until the second game.
