Always diss the KH titles such as 3D and BBS and such because all they want is KH3? Don't they realize that all of these "spinoffs" are essentially vital to comprehend and understand the story? Once KH3 comes out, they won't have a clue what goes on... This doesn't really go for you guys, I mean the people on the internet in general.

BBS and 3D were great games. They weren't spinoffs. 3D is even a direct sequel to kh2. I think the people who want kh3 just want it to be for ps3 and can't wait.

It's not necessarily in all cases, but sometimes people may bash the games because they themselves haven't played it

No, I don't myself call them spinoffs, but those who haven't played them do. It seriously pains me whenever someone says "Where's KH3 already? These spinoffs are stupid and only bringing down the franchise." Nothing pushes my buttons more than that...

I guess they're just impatient. I can understand that they'v been waiting for years and you can't play every game because it's on so many different platforms and not everyone can buy all of them or has enough time to watch all the cut scenes.But yes, they ARE essential to the story and these people are seriously missing out if they refuse to play/watch it when they can

(I love your sig btw) yeah those people are gonna be really confused. Take my brother for example. He used to be a die hard kh fan but when he saw all those other "spin off" games, he gave up on the series and is only waiting for kh3 to come out. I too used to do this until I recently saw videos of the other games and started to like them and actually play them. Now that I show my brother the games he still refuses to see the "spin offs" because he just wants kh3 to come out. He's gonna be really confused when it does though.

It's annoying when you hear a reviewer call a game like Re:Coded or Day's filler. Sure they don't hold as much significance in terms of story, but they are still PART of the story >:OO

What if for someone who casually follows the series and is like well i remember playing 1st and 2nd one so i should play 3rd one or doesn't want to buy handheld for one game. So if they get loss it's developer fault on not catching them up and trying to be at least helpful or enjoyable for someone playing their game being a new fan or not. A series is always going to need new players or it will die out.

Yeah, ikr... BBS and 3D were great, and they definitely are vital to the story, with all the background info and characters. Although, I can understand the whole 'them being on different handhelds' problem. I only got to play BBS because my friend happened to have an unused PSP.

Impatience. That's the only reason why they do it. They want the next main installment and don't wanna wait anymore. I'll admit, I'm one of the most impatient people on the planet, but I've waited 6 years; I can wait 4 more if that's what it takes. Fanatic until I die, basically. I'm not saying those who are dissing the franchise aren't die-hards, but they just need to calm down and look at what SE is giving them. I mean, they could just make us wait with nothing. But they're actually being very generous in giving us all these other games. Days wasn't necessary, but for the Roxas fans, it was incredibly important. I would have been happy with just cutscenes, like they're doing with ReMix now but oh well. BBS and DDD are pretty much major installments, just on smaller consoles. Those characters and plot points they miss will cost them when KH3 finally comes out.

 

When all of them are confused and cry because they don't know what's going on, I will laugh. Very hard. Talk about an "I told you so" moment.

Of course. You are right . I was one of them but i ignored them cause i was "ocupied " with another game series. And anyway after that i learned all the story of DDD . Anyways KHIII is on its way so we must be ready to understand the story....And still i haven't understood what Xehanort planned and did so far at the whole series and what happened to DDD .....

I have played through all the kh games (except Re:Com, It was never released here..) and I can say that every single one of them was important. I think many people are just pissed because square had'nt released any direct sequels, though those people outside of KH13 don't know that Kh 3D is one...

I agree. They're both good games, and the fact that they desperately want KH3 doesn't give them a reason to think of them as less important. We wouldn't know many truths of the KH universe if those games weren't released.

The necessity of most of the handheld games is questionable (yes, I'm saying they're questionable) but the disregard and frustration come from the misconception that the handheld games are holding KH3 back. Versus is halting the progression of KH3 but because the information in included in Japanese only magazines and books many people are unaware of.
