pretty much no difference in quality

Recommended Posts

In my opinion, the greatest changes are not to be seen in the cutscenes altough square has given effort on that too. I like the new character models the most and the picture is a lot sharper now, so it will be nicer to the eye.

sry for the bad English..

they upped the resolution for the textures of some of the things to make it clearer and changed the contrast and saturation a bit,but other than that it's the same thing.

my screenshot from PCSX2 with badly optimized Shadeboost

Well yes i agree that Kingdom Hearts 1 is not really different but if we talked about Kingdom Hearts 358 2 days i don't need to say it you understand.

Well im almost positve the game will be running at 60FPS instead of 30FPS which PCSX2 cant do...well...make 30FPS games run at 60. Unless you use the builting recorder then it captures it at 60fps.

also in the other one riku's hands dont go through his arm's  like in your photo or the old game also his clothing has a few wrinkles in them if you pay close attation

the arm is'nt a model change, thats an issue with PCSX2 due to upscaling.if changed to the native ps2 rsolution it doesn't happen.

Um, you have LOTS of research to be doing. Does this not look like a difference to you?!:

Basically, I photoshopped it so that it's 50 and 50 so that you could see.

thats without upscaling on PCSX2,without messing with shadeboost, and without adding Anti-Aliasing.and yes compared to the way that the ps2 plays it,the game looks significantly better, but those improvements are due to better hardware allowing upscaling, which you can do most everything except the textures and the few model changes where they smoothed out soem angles, using the original game and PCSX2.

your kidding right?

watch this video, this person records with intensive mods on kingdom hearts which would crash the ps2,and with 60fps

and the the PCSX2 team also showed it running on a relatively average system.

and if there is any lag it's due to recording while playing, which stresses the system hardware more than emulating the game.

Kidding about what??? This game is locked at 30FPS like most PS2 games. I dont know what you are trying to prove.

You migh want to read this

ALSO I record alot of Gameplay  of KH and that person used the built in recorder which captures every frame regardless of lag. My videos I record with a internal res of 4096X4096 and I get 4FPS and the capture outcome is 60FPS then converted down to 30FPS by youtube. Do a little more research.

I can see what you mean. I'd been expecting more detailing in scenery and models, but the difference compared to the original is rather minimal. I'm still getting this though, they're revamping the gameplay so that's something to look forward to.

I would look at the post a few below this one showing Riku's Face split in half to compare the new vs old. That is a HUGE difference, as the models are more detailed since they are the newest ones from KH3D. And as far as the detail in scenery, that is much harder as it would require a much more significant amount of time.
