Advice/Help in drawing Anime and Manga characters.

Okay I want umm advice and help in how to draw anime/manga chatacters. Starting in how to make good skeltons ( the basic shapes before filling specfic detail), In the anatomy( such as how to draw hands,body,face,hair,legs,arms.) and then advice in coloring.I know pratice which I am but getting kinda impatient and frustrated with my work.

Its a tutorial thingy on how to draw anime/manga style anatomy.

 

My advice is to draw whenever you can and feel like it! Improvement comes from practice, no matter what form. You can draw from life or just doodle those silly ideas in your heads. It doesn't have to be perfect, because no one and nothing is. Accept your flaws and keep moving on. That's how you improve ^q^

 

Also tips on how to draw better? You can look up your favourite artists' styles and take note of what you like from it, and try to learn it. For me, I really look up to this artist's drawings and colouring style and this artist's use of colours.

If you're on this site this must mean you love KH right? Can I assume you like Nomura's drawing style lol. I love his style too! It's really unique and easy to recognize. And his character designs are so wonderful I can drool over them all day (Vanitas tehepero)

The best thing to do to improve is to start with real life. Look at images of human anatomy and practice drawing what you see, once you've gotten the hang of drawing people you can start playing around with style.

Pshh. That could be creepy O.o... No offence. Read a whole heck lot of manga and keep a doodle book. who cares what doodles look like they are just your personal feel. Doodles sometimes lets your own style be born. O.O it makes practice fun. try doodling you favorite anime characters, then work from there maybe try doodling yourself with them. there is no shame in trying. I spent years trying to get to where I am and I still feel eh. There is always room for improvement.

So yep! This is how much I have improved in the past 2 years. I'm sure if you draw everyday you can improve lots too :3c (I draw so much, I even doodle on my textbooks haha)

 

Oh right one more important thing is to draw something out of your comfort zone once in a while. It's hard but its really rewarding in the end ^Q^ I enjoy doing it a lot because its fun and challenging hahaha

Hmm if you're serious you can look up some tutorials online to help your understandment of the anatomy, composition etc. ^Q^

And practiceeee (which is doodling + drawing)

It's okay I doodle since I was 4 and each year I saw improvement.(I was so determine to make a comic book. I had so many ideas though I usally stop in the middle which has lead me to want to know the ending I had)

Don't for get to focus on your studies too. It is hard to get to live off of it, but you know I bet you could do it! Heck I want to work for Square Enix. heh. It can be a lot of weight being creative.

 But together with great friends to encourage you anything can be possible.

There are like a gazillion anime drawing tutorials on deviantART.  You won't truly understand why they do what they do until you have at least some idea of how the human form looks in real life--and incidentally, there are a gazillion tutorials on that, too.  I fail to see how drawing from life is creepy unless you're not past the stage of "tee hee naked people!"

I think drawing from life is fun! And yeah I agree the last point

I draw from life sometimes...and I use myself as reference (not naked tho. I just study anatomy with my own body sometimes in the bathroom loool)
