Whether it would be a live action movie, or an animated movie, Daxter would still be an animated character allowing them to keep his original voice which is Max Casella. Why would you change his voice actor? It depends on whether they would want to show the scene from the first game where he changes from a human into his better-known form. As for changing actors, I prefer when roles are reprised, and considering he's fairly older than Jak and daxter were in the series I don't think he would work well in live action.
