Ruran 481 Posted December 15, 2012 Eeehhhhh....Not really. Master is more of a fancy title than any thing sort of like Princes of Heart in that it just means that you're of a certain status. A bit more accurate though seeing as you attain it when you master your Keyblade but it seems that what really separates regular wielders from masters in knowledge. Some times. It also depends on master to master as to what the proper qualities are, like ME thinks absolute control of ones darkness (as in pushing it down) makes one master material while Yen Sid is more about balance. But in the long run, not really.
WakelessDream 2,286 Posted December 15, 2012 (edited) The same thing a keyblade wielder would do, with a few extra perks like turning one's home world into a giant castle where anyone who enters will get lost in oblivion, oh and they also get the fancy title Edited December 15, 2012 by WakelessDream
Hazimie 1,595 Posted December 15, 2012 (edited) Well, for Keyblade Master, they can extract hearts in half or whole including it's wielder and also can awakened the power inside people's heart so yeah, that's the difference between Wielders and Master... AntonioKHT 449 Posted December 15, 2012 Well, you can only become Master if you achieve a certain "level" in your abilities as a Keyblade Wielder, so they're stronger than regular ones. But when you compare like Aqua and Terra. They have the same level of abilities, but Terra couldn't keep his darkness in check, so Eraqus didn't give him the title, but he just missed the formality. He's a Master in level, but only didn't receive the title.
VanitasTheBest 196 Posted December 15, 2012 If someone becomes a keyblade master, he'll learn secrets and stuff... And I think in BbS it was said/written, that in the past being a Keyblade Master means to be Protector of the Land of Departure... So becoming a Keyblade Master means to Protect Worlds or something like that stuff Sora already did so many times

Yeah but that was using a "keyblade" that was made for that kinda thing. What I understood form Birth by Sleep, is that while Keyblade weilders are under training, the masters are the ones that get to go out and protect the worlds. Being a master means you get to start your job. The whole concept went out the window once RG was destroyed.

Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted December 23, 2012 I've kind of wondered the same thing myself. Really, I think being a master has more to do with getting a fancy title than anything else. *Maybe* a master would get more privileges than a normal Keyblade wielder would, but in the end I don't know if it really makes a difference. Because Sora's gonna save the world no matter who's the master.

Caity 3,946 Posted December 31, 2012 They'll learn secrets, which most likely would be some power or something to increase their current ability. Generally more stronger, hence why yen sid was putting Sora and Riku through the exam, he said to mickey one keyblade master won't be enough to take on MX. Its not much different from a keyblade bearer, just a master of the keyblade
NightfallXIII 68 Posted January 1, 2013 (edited) I don't know. The only difference that I've noticed is that Keyblade Masters get about one or two overpowered abilities that they spam and are excruciatingly hard to block and/or dodge that main protagonist will never get. Other than that, it just seems like a fancy title. I've often wondered why Yen Sid said that fighting Xehanort as Masters was the "proper" way. After all, it's just (as far as I know. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't be a jerk about it) a fancy title since Sora and Riku are main protagonists and can't get the awesome abilities. Wouldn't their time and resources had been better spent training or otherwise preparing for Xehanort? Edited January 1, 2013 by NightfallXIII

Dream Eating Seeker 2 Posted January 1, 2013 Keyblade Masters usually are masters of the Keyblade (Duh) and they seek to train new wielders of the Keyblade. They are let in on secret and gain a new power or two. They also have wicked Keyblades that have amazing stats. Really, they are just really strong Keyblade Wielders. Also, the title makes you sound epic. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Confront me you may, but win? Impossible.
