VisitJoan 2,713 Posted December 13, 2012 OK, I'm throwing out ideas here, but the more I think about this one, the more I like it. So here's what we know: * MX released his heart and took control of Terra's body * At least a part of Terra remained with the body - we can see that in Blank Points * About a year later AX released his heart again, splitting himself in two - a heartless and a Nobody * When a Nobody is defeated, the body goes to darkness * If the heartless is defeated before the Nobody, and possibly vice versa, the heart and body will merge and the person returns. So when Sora defeated Ansem SoD, the heart (or hearts more likely) went to the Org's Kingdom hearts which most likely started by that point. When the hearts in Kingdom Hearts were freed, I think that the universe "righted" itself and MX's heart went back to MX's body. But Xemnas was also defeated, making Terra's heart and body free. There is a very real chance that Terra have come back during DDD. 6 advfox, AntonioKHT, Hazimie and 3 others reacted to this
AntonioKHT 449 Posted December 13, 2012 That's an excellent hypothesis, but to tell the truth, I don't agree... When someone's heartless and Nobody is destroyed, the original persona that he or she was, is the one who gets back (from what I understand) so I don't think Terra could break free before he joined back together. I think, that Terranort is coming back (if he already didn't) because that was the form he was before splitting. For Terra to come back, already free, he'd have to have set both his heart and body so they'd join together, as you said, but they were just destroyed in my opinion. I don't see how he could get free. But we'll just have to wait to know what truly happened. Elijah Gravenhorst 480 Posted December 13, 2012 Yeah one problem. Time travel! We still have versions of Ansem SoD and Xemnas running around in their own time streams. I think it's possible that Terra could be back, but I'm sure that Nomura will find some way for him to still be trapped in one way or another.
Hazimie 1,595 Posted December 13, 2012 (edited) I like your theory. But even if Terra have come back during the mark of mastery,we still actually don't know if he's THERE OR NOT since he will become one of the thirteen darkness because of Young Xehanort's Time Travel or the past events. So that means,Terra has a slightest chance to appear except two things---Eraqus's light within Terra's heart and the Lingering Will... Master Xehanort was Terranort, but at the moment he's his old Master self and Terranort would appear nonexistent. I've kind of wondered if Terra returned to his former self as well after Kingdom Hearts II, but I find it very strange that he hasn't made an appearance yet. But to the tell the truth, I still don't believe Terra's free. It IS strange that Xehanort came back in his old self, because, for me, he should have returned Terranort, but that's definetely wrong, since YMX clearly says that he is the most future self. But the thing is, Xehanort says Terra should be cut off from mickey's list, because he is still a vessel. I think Terra will be saved and become one of Light Guardians, although I don't know how, since we still know little.

It doesn't seem like anyone in the Kingdom Hearts series ever gets killed off for good (though, honestly, I believe it might be in the series best interests if an occasional character did finally bite it, since it gets kind of dull when we can predict everyone's outcome). Actually, I was thinking (and hoping) that Terra would be saved by Aqua and Ven (and the rest of the guys) during KH3, so he could be one of the Lights. For me, it just makes more sense, since he's their friends, and he is practically a Master (doesn't have the "title" only, he has the level).

BBS Ultimania: -- Was Master Xehanort the one who delivered the final blow to Master Eraqus? Nomura: Because it was necessary to avoid showing such a cruel scene, it's difficult to tell from the presentation, but that's right. Terra saw this happen right in front of his eyes, so when he realised at the Keyblade Graveyard that Master Xehanort intends to harm Ventus and Aqua, this drives him to anger, saying, "Not only my father Eraqus..."* As an aside, although he says "my father", and we see from Eraqus' words that he thinks of Terra like a son, Terra and Eraqus are not actually father and son. Also, in his final moments Eraqus falls towards Terra - an important meaning is hidden in this scene. -- In the secret event Xehanort says “The heart that resides within Terra’s heart.” Who’s heart is it? Nomura: I can’t say just yet, but I’ve set it so that you’ll know who it is. Listen to Xehanort’s words closely, and read his reports carefully. I think you’ll know who it is then. DDD Ultimania: -- What happened to Terra's heart and body? Nomura: In this game, Master Xehanort does not appear in the form of Terra-Xehanort when he transferred his heart, but as the old man he was before he took control of Terra's body. During the revival, what happened to Terra's body, and Terra's heart that was in opposition to Xehanort's control? In Kingdom Hearts, Birth by Sleep, it is to be considered that it was thought the whereabouts of the heart of Terra's master, Eraqus rested within his body. Smithee 327 Posted December 14, 2012 (edited) Forgot about that. But still, for now, Terra has lost. Doubtful, given Nomura's repeated emphasis on Eraqus's presence (Eraqus = Light, MX = Darkness, Light and Darkness cancel one another, etc.). If you're right, then Nomura just wasted everyone's time. It remains to be seen how helpful he was .We do know Terra still needs rescued bc MX is still claiming hes under his control somehow in DDD. HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted December 14, 2012 Actually, we just know MX revived. What became of Terra is vague at best. Actually we know for a FACT that AX ended up with MX in control and thats how Xemnas carried on MX's plans( trying to make the organization into Nort clones)..Secondly he mentions still having Terra in his control when he listed the lights .We 've discussed this many times and you have gotten nowhere .Eraqus's heart's whereabouts isn't actual proof of anything especially when its been canonically confirmed MX was in control of AX when he split himself.Like I said, what good did Eraqus do then ?..Thats why Nomura specifically it was left to mystery . 3 Robbie the Wise, Demyx. and luka reacted to this

Mind, heart and body are three separate issues in KH but yeah regardless of how MX has him under his control , he still needs rescued which is my point .I kinda favor the theory of terras heart being controlled by MX so since the heart shapes the vessel hes taking on the appearance of the old man .Otherwise it would be pretty pointless of MX to ever need Terras body to begin with . Eraqus's heart could be helping Terra's heart to keep trying to hold onto his body so they eventually evict him .MX has tried to cast Terra out and so Eraqus's role might be to help Terra hold on . 1 luka reacted to this
