A Light-based villains. The stereotype of absolutes tends to give birth to the most scheming yet ignorant villains.

Better yet, a Light-based http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AntiVillain]Anti-Villain; personally, I'm tired of Darkness-based http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CompleteMonster]Complete Monsters like Xehanort.

Aqua's the best candidate of all currently-known characters, and I personally wouldn't put it past her to try something like using KH to make everyone's Hearts 100%-Light in order to end all Darkness-related pain forever (an Eraqus-y foil to Sora's own want to help everyone).

To tell the truth, I think Nomura could really end KH with the Xehanort's death. Like you said, he would start to run out of worlds, and I don't really want Pixar ones. I like their movies, but I think they don't present good stories to KH.Also, I don't think Sora would be the protaganist, if he were to move on to another Saga. I think he'd come up with a fresh new hero and villain. He could easily just start others from scratch. Also, he mentioned something in a interviwe that made me think quite a lot : "I don't think Sora would be irrelevant" it seems like he's considering using a brand new hero, but still using Sora as someone important, maybe a master to train new Keyblade Wielders. Those are just guesses anyway... Who know what works on that evil mind...

No...Nomura has stated literally countless times that Sora will ALWAYS be the main protagonist until the VERY end of KH. He stated countless times that the whole story is going to grow up along with the main characters. He's most likely going to age them quite a few years after KH 3, which is AWESOME because how often do you get to grow up with a game series like that? Startig as a kid and then seeing them as adults way later in life just sounds kickass to me lol. But that has been confirmed since KH 2 came out...

Pooh is going to be secret boss of KH3 and he will be the true master of organization for KH 4. that makes sense. He time travels with his honey pot.

Yup. The story then evolves into him creating Pooh's out of people like Xehanort. Millions of them taking over each world! Everyone is Pooh. They all have Keyblades. The end.

From what Nomura has said about the series, in referring to BBS to KHIII in the timeline as 'the Dark Seeker Chapter', I'd say he would only give that collection of games the titled chapter if he planned to continue on - either with the same protagonists and a new enemy, or perhaps further into KH future with a new team of characters.... and more than likely, new foes (stick to damn heartless and nobodies!!!)

Or maybe new characters who have connections with the others at the first SAGA..

Nomura confirmed that the series will continue, and Sora will remain the protagonist.

I have a feeling that Nomura will continue to use Sora, but certainly not indefintely. Especially with consoles evolving year after year and the ease to not only generate a new plot over continue an existing one but draw in new fans to the series in the future who have not kept up to date with Sora's adventures. KH is a strong series, but I'm not sure if it can stand the test of time with the same protagonist.... I may be wrong, but hey, look at final fantasy. Ever see repeats of characters, or more than a couple of games that sequel/prequel?

http://kh-vids.net/threads/nomura-to-talk-future-of-kh-in-famitsu-interview-up.112811/

This as well as it's been said on the forums many times is where I heard from.

this says the future KH title after KHIII will have Sora as a main character, but he does not say he will remain in the spotlight indefinitely. I suppose it's too early to say about KH 5-6-7 whatever.lol Nomura may well turn KH into his own Final Fantasy style series in the future, you never know!

That link to the interview posted paraphrased Nomuras words in that interview . His actual exact words in the originally worded interview said Sora 'always ' would be the main character..

"Winnie The Pooh will summon his DeathMaster keyblade and then he will rule the worlds forever. *laughs*" That was secret message I got from Nomura today when we discussed about plot of KH4

Death would be too easy on MX; instead, let him be trapped in "torment" just like TAV, only forever. What's fair is fair, after all.

TVA?NOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!XEHXEH DESERVES BETTER!!!!!!NO ONE HURTS HIM!!!!!!!!!

This exactly took me a while to sort through the interviews, it's one of the interview that was done through translation only each translations was a little different from source to source but all of them maintain that Sora will remain the main character

The Xehanort part of the Kingdom Hearts saga will end with KHIII, he said. He currently has a framework of some form in place for the continuation of the series after that, and Sora will remain as the main character.

XEHANORT WILL NEVER EVER DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i hate to say it but i will probaly quit the series if he is not in it..........................

Don't worry, it's Nomura. He created Xehanort so he can most likely create someone as badass, if not MORE badass than Xehanort is. He's a flippin' genius, I'm sure what's in store for us is awesome.

I'll actually be kind of bored and disappointed if the very last boss before KH3's ending cutscene(s) is just MX; too predictable.

Instead, why not a being of Light trying to use KH to undo MX's damage Eraqus-style?
