KH3D Riku getting younger?

Is it me or does Riku getting younger in DDD from KH2

That's because Yen Sid has sent them to the Realm of Sleep and had to reset their abilities so they would learn from the start.That's why he got his KH1 form back.

 

As for the hair,he cut his hair before the beginning of the game(before they went to the realm of Sleep) and Nomura has explained why he got his hair cut

Both Sora and Riku seem younger in KH3D because of Yen Sid's magic. The point was so that they could start from fresh, and develop new abilities, because they had ben self training this whole time, not from a master. (They trained themselves again, but that's the answer you're looking for, that is given in the game)

But both Sora and Riku look younger in KH3D probably due to yen sid's magic or something along those lines, plus Riku got a hair cut(obviously) so maybe that makes him look younger too?
