This must be an old picture because I'm fairly certain he's quite a bit older than that now, like 40s or something. And why so surprised Shera Wizard? It's fairly common for Japanese adolescents and young adults (teens to mid-20s) to be androgynous. In fact, there's an entire sub culture built around it. They use non gender specific pronouns and won't tell you whether they're male or female even if you directly ask them.
