KHCoM Wouldn't you have liked a Sora Replica instead?

We all know Vexen made a Riku Replica when Sora and Riku explore Castle Oblivion, but I feel like Riku Replica had no real point of being made.

 

I would find it amusing and entertaining if a Sora Replica was made because I think it would make more sense. The Sora Replica could fight like Sora. I personally think the Sora Replica would fit into the story better because Riku is facing all the guilt of what he's done in KH1 and the Sora Replica, in anger, could remind Riku that he put Sora through so much danger, messing with Riku's mind. Then obviously, they will fight.

 

What do you think? Do you think a Sora Replica would've been more entertaining and would be more interesting to fight than a Riku Replica in Chain of Memories?

I dunno, I rather loved Repliku. But I do agree, seeing Riku and how he'd react to Sora replica would have been very interesting. σωσ

I know that, but I mean like the person actually looking like Sora and fighting like Sora, but not the real Sora. Like how Vexen made Repliku, but instead making a Sora Replica to mess with Riku's mind.

Wasn't the point of Repliku to trick Sora into thinking he was the real Riku to confuse Sora more?

 

It might have been more mind firetrucky but I don't think it would have been more "interesting" tbh. Repliku flipped out and was defensive partly because he had Riku's insecurity issues. "RepliSora" I don't think would've had quite the same impact. He might have even joined the real Sora and buddied it up.

Yup and yup; exactly what I was going to say.  I really liked Riku Replica's character, so I wouldn't really want him replaced for a Sora one, but it would be interesting.  Although, I don't think it would've left as much of an impression on Sora to be seeing himself, since he believed that to be the real Riku throughout most of Castle Oblivion.

 

Y'know, there sort of was a Sora-double that Riku encounters at one point in the game, somewhat creating the reaction you were talking about.

I don't think so. It's kinda hard think Nomura'd make a replica of Sora that'd be evil. It'd ruin his reputation...

But I'm really fond of Riku's Replica (when he stops being a jerk... "Where will my heart go?"), so it's kinda hard to say, "I'd prefer a Sora Replica", mostly, cause I don't think I want

Also, Vexen made the replica because he was interested in Riku, not for any specific Organization's plot reasons. He wanted to study the "Hero of Darkness"

The Sora Replica wouldn't need to see the real Sora, just encounter Riku.

Well, it wouldn't be the real Sora though. I would find it interesting if a Sora Replica got angry at Riku for what he's done to Sora in KH1.

Already exists, it's Xion and no I like the story better with a Riku Replica and how it develops Riku's character and the plot.

Yeah, that's where I thought of this idea. I wanted a puppet that looked and acted like Sora, but more aggressive, somewhat like how Riku Replica was a puppet that acted and looked like Riku. Riku has a lot of internal conflict about his guilt and what he's done to Sora, so that's why I think a Sora Replica would be more interesting.

 

Plus, Riku's walkthrough through chain of memories was too easy, so I think a fake Sora fight would be really challenging.
