Okay, enough of this!

Seriously, you guys think the world will end on December 21st? I'll tell you right now that it won't and that we will all be still alive and well when that day comes. Now I know that most of these threads about the world's end is o the random section but it's kind of getting annoying. It's like you guys are saying "Oh my gosh the world is going to end but I'm going to make it sound funny so it wouldn't scare everyone." I, for one, don't believe in that nonsense. I know that there are those of you who don't believe in the world ending but it kinda feels like you guys are hiding your  thoughts/feelings/reactions about the world "ending" through the random section. And I know that there are some people who actually believe that the world will end. But I'm very confident and highly sure that this won't be the end of the world. Now the thing about the the sun blowing up is very true. it is intended to happen at some point but if I remember correctly, that doesn't happen for about another 1 million years from now. Which is when we are all dead. So for those of you that actually believe in tthat, don't worry because it's not happening for a very long time.

I'm sorry but I just had to let this out. This doesn't piss me off or anything but seeing a lot of threads about it is kind of getting a bit annoying. I mean it's cool that there are those who truly don't believe in the world ending but seeing a crap load of threads about it is starting to just get a bit ridiculous.

Yeah I don't believe the world is gonna end. My thread isn't really a joke topic as a whole, it's more of an interesting opinionated topic.

I put it on random because it doesn't fit anywhere else.

If the world were going to end my regets would be 1. Not able to play Kingdom Hearts 3, 2. Not becoming a Super Saiyan, and 3. Not being able to turn 18, get married and start a family.

But thanks to God hopefully all be able to reach all these goals.

Kingdom Hearts Forever!

Holy anus juice batman, tails its a joke. Of course the world will go on, its funny to joke about it, especially to me, because the 21st IS my birthday.

it would be your 21st birthday and you're first deathday

As far as I know, the only real huge problem around the next couple years or so that's even kinda related to the end of the human population is other countries fighting. I hate how people can't just get along or keep to themselves

This all stems from predictions made well before even the (supposed) birth of Christ. A similar scare happened in 1999 when people thought the world would end at the turn of the millennium (kinda like the last generation's version of 2012). Obviously this was bollocks, but people expect the prediction of December 21st 2012 to mean the sky falling, natural catastrophes, meteors, armageddon... it's far-fetched at best, but think of this: people calmed down and disregarded 2000 (admittedly there was no real historic background to the fear) but then we hit by 9/11 in 2001 - quite possibly the worst, most devastating act of terror to strike the Western World. People the world over mourned and since that day the world has lived in fear of the next act of terror - and a 'war on terror' has been on going. Is that a war that we send millions of soldiers to fight, or need tanks and guns for? No, akin to the Cold War there is no clear two sides battling but more a state of humanity. We've had a series of other events like the Tsunami of '06 but you get the idea. Perhaps the 'world ending' is more a metaphor of humanity going past the point of no return and being set on course for eradication/extinction (i.e. a man made disaster).

Some food for thought there perhaps....

I'm right there with you, Tails.  I firmly don't believe the world's going to end on the 21st either; too much has to happen still...

Don't worry, I'm not a believer in any of this. I merely took a moment to share the train of thought your topic influenced :)

You are not a believer! You will eat your words!

Sorry but I just have to say, there were two very clear sides in the cold war.

Sorry, see where I wasn't clear there. I meant there no two sides PHYSICALLY battling each other, the same way I was speculating the end of the world might be something we won't be able to immediately perceive.... LOL xD

I'll eat my words? I'm sorry, but I fail to see why I might do that!
