gothamninja394 92 Posted September 7, 2013 Yeah shes got a thing for me but unfortunately I'm already with asuna so things might get awkward -kinda obsessive over the Kirito/Asuna pairing- CANT WAIT TO SEE THE NEXT EP! Which I'm recording tonight
Kittenz 4,281 Posted October 10, 2013 I've heard that it sucks, but i've also heard people say it's really good, i know im a bit late to the party but is it worth watching the first season?
ReikuSSR 1,071 Posted October 10, 2013 To me it is kinda cliche, but I like it regardless. I feel some who like it are probably ones who have not read .hack//, RealPG, or Yureka.
Gamerazor247 877 Posted October 10, 2013 It's a good anime. The first 8 episodes stays truthful to the typical online MMO RPG. Then the rest sticks to romance. The action scenes are cool too and not cheesy and boring like Fairy tail... I don't know about SUB but the DUB VA is great. The DUB has gotten to Ep. 14 btw. Noobles 301 Posted October 13, 2013 Sword Art Online Extra Edition: Source: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-08-12/sword-art-online-extra-edition-to-air-with-new-footage So, we're getting a recap special of the first two arcs of SAO... I REALLY hope this is their way of kicking off Gungale Online! It's the perfect way to do it, since it's been almost a year now since the series first aired in Japan. I'm sure a recap would be accepted by people before they watch GGO. It also has bonus content... Please don't be Chapter 16.5 Not exactly Chapter 16.5 but I think they gave a small synopsis. Yui wants to go on an underwater like adventure on ALO with Kirito and Leafa. But Leafa can't swim so Asuna suggested they help Sugeha at a real life pool along with Asuna's girl friends...probably Silicia and Lizbeth. Mean while, Kirito meets a certain someone. Essentially, Fan service! Anyways, it's suppose to be a special 2 hour synopsis of all of Sword Art Online Aincard and Alfheim Online Arc along with 'new footage' along with the additional 'episode' if you would say at the end.... Airing December 31st in Japan. Full Article along with artwork designs for Extra Edition: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-10-11/sword-art-online/extra-edition-character-designs-previewed 2 RikuVazquez and Shulk reacted to this

Noobles 301 Posted October 13, 2013 Can't have an anime special without fanservice. Still, I'm really excited! Same here. I'm a bit excited too. 2 Hours of SAO is gonna be interesting Plus a little more stuff in ALO is nice. Though the design for Kirito in the Special Edition looks like they must mashed his outfit for Aincard and Alfhem Hopefully this will push for Season 3, GGO. 1 Shulk reacted to this

Yeah, I couldn't tell if the design was meant for SAO or ALO. Also, yeah, I'm hoping that they're doing this to prepare for GGO. It seems kinda odd to go and reanimate the entire series a year after making it. 1 Noobles reacted to this

It seems kinda odd to go and reanimate the entire series a year after making it. I feel like they're pulling something like Infinite Stratos did. Infinite Stratos Season 1 lasted 12 episodes and ended near Fall 2011. Then they released an OVA or Episode 13 which continues after Season 1 in December 2011 since a Season 2 was not announced or confirmed. Now it's Fall 2013 and Season 2 just started continuing off the OVA from December 2011. Also the Manga ended just recently so the anime can continue all the way threw. Just a speculation. SAO/ALO ended Dec. 2012 and the Extra Edition is coming Dec. 2013. Probably won't get Season 2 or Season 3 (GGO Arc) till Mid to Late 2014, or as late as Early 2015...The Extra Edition is possibly a way to hype up more popularity since there's no confirmation for a continuation to GGO plus the Manga/Light Novel is already a one arc ahead in Underworld. Sorry if my logic doesn't make sense 1 Shulk reacted to this

DragonMaster 1,166 Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) I just watched episode 19 last night. ...I know this series is pretty old now, but spoiler tags anyway: I gotta say, I didn't quite know where they would go with the story after they beat SAO, but I rather like the Alfheim arc. Granted, I don't care for the whole "use the NerveGear to manipulate memories and emotions" element, but other than that the plot is still pretty good. The new villain is really creepy. Also, I really like the addition of Kirito's sister/cousin, her whole sub-plot is really interesting. DragonMaster 1,166 Posted November 20, 2013 Someone else who actually likes Suguha? Holy crap, I never thought I'd live to see the day. She's unpopular? *sigh* I should have guessed, my favorite characters usually seem to be the less popular ones. But yeah, I do like her. I'd actually say she's one of my favorite characters. 1 Noobles reacted to this

I'd actually say she's one of my favorite characters. Yeah, she tends to get a lot of hate from fans. Heck, the whole Fairy Dance arc did, sadly. Sure, they overdid the fanservice at some moments, but I really liked it overall. I'd explain where Suguha's hate comes from, but I think it's still a spoiler at the point you're at. 1 Noobles reacted to this

Yeah, you kind of spoiled a little bit. Episode 19 revealed the fact that Leafa was actually Suguha. She's unpopular? *sigh* I should have guessed, my favorite characters usually seem to be the less popular ones. But yeah, I do like her. I'd actually say she's one of my favorite characters. I recommend that you continue watching all the way because the last 4 episodes reveals quite a bit between Suguha and Kirito. But yes, she is unpopular in the way because I think of the fanservice and because mainly... Everyone likes the picture that it's between Asuna and Kirito. The love is complicated because if I remember correctly, she feel in love with Kirito but then finds out Kirito is Kazuto. After finding that out, she is heartbroken that she had feel in love with both Kirito and Kazuto. She knew it was hopeless to like Kazuto, not just the fact that they're cousins, but the fact that he is very determined to go after Asuna. So in ALO, she fell in love with Kirito but load and behold, Kirito is Kazuto. I think I confused myself more than explained. Oh well. I think people just didn't like that and personally, I didn't like it that much but I don't hate her. I mean heck, I can understand how she feels cause that really sucks and all if you were in her shoes. :3Correct me if I'm wrong Black Star. It's been almost a good year since the final episodes were out. Funny, just realized last year, Episode 19 came out right around this time

Eh, the fanservice, so far, hasn't fazed me. Unless it gets pushed to the extreme in the episodes I've yet to see, I doubt I'll mind. It takes a lot to put me off in that regard (at least in anime). Yeah, you kind of spoiled a little bit. Episode 19 revealed the fact that Leafa was actually Suguha. Funny, just realized last year, Episode 19 came out right around this time *I have a feeling I know what you're talking about in the spoiler, but I removed it from the quote so I don't accidentally read too far into it.* I think Leafa=Suguha was revealed earlier, or at least implied. I knew that Suguha was Leafa before ep19, and I'm pretty sure before ep18 as well. Going on the assumption (haven't finished the series yet) that Suguha's unpopular because of the sub-plot where she falls in love with Kirito (both in-game and in real life), that's actually one of the main reasons I like her. Its just a really tragic situation, (for obvious reasons) and I really look forward to seeing how it is all resolved. I plan on watching the rest of the series by the end of the weekend. 1 Shulk reacted to this
