axele 151 Posted November 22, 2012 Not the most original thread in the world, but still pretty fun. One rule though to make it feel less empty. Please explain why that Final Fantasy game is on that spot and why you love it. In other words, please give out some decent detail. You don't have to write a essay though lol. Also please respect other people's opinions and don't flame if somebody doesn't have Final Fantasy VII on his/ hers list or he/she likes say Final Fantasy XIII the best. Everybody is different and if we all liked the same things, the world would be a huge bore. 10 Crisis Core. I have to say that I love Zack and young Cloud. Young Cloud is so adorable ! It's a nice game for the PSP, though the battle system is pretty bad in my eyes being based on random pure luck. What's the point in leveling up ? Still, it has a nice story and explains the FF VII world a little more than the original did. Though I hate what they did to Tifa's cowgirl suit, they made it more well.. er, slutty. Squareenix.. she's like... 15 years old. So much wrong... 9 Final Fantasy XIII-2 Even though the ending was a bit on the disapointing side. I loved the Pokemon styled battle system and open world and the time system added to the game. It felt like Chrono Trigger. I played that game a few years ago on a retro gaming site and it just brought back so many old memories of that game. I liked Noel, he was a good extra character into the story and Serah is a nice female lead girl. 8 Final Fantasy III Out of the first three Final Fantasy games, I like this one the most. I played the NES version on a retro gaming site and the music even though it was aged, was amazing. Playing the DS version was just even better. The characters feel a tad bland, but the story and battle system, the class system makes up for it. Plus Xande is a underated villian, he really should of been in Dissidia instead of Dark Cloud. 7 Final Fantasy V Final Fantasy V to me feels like FF3 expect better. It has a deeper storyline, better characters. I love Bartz. However even though the storyline is a improvement on FF3 it still feels rather empty and flawed. At times I felt well, bored ! Still, it's a good game and a good Final Fantasy. However the storyline just needs a improvement. Oh, and the Playstation translation is awwwfuuuuul. 6 Final Fantasy VII Ah ! How dare you put Final Fantasy VII so low ! Curse on your Moogles ! Yeah, well. I hate Cloud. He's a huge douchebag throughout the game, and the rest of the characters too also like Cloud feel hugly overated to me. I only really liked Barret and Vincent. However the storyline is pretty amazing, the boss theme is epic, and the mini-games are a nice add and really fun. 5 Final Fantasy IV This game used to be my favourite a few years ago. However I feel a little overloaded with it at the moment, so it's gone down a few numbers. The DS version was so amazing ! However with the PSP, Wii extras... all the hype. I feel like FFIV is being forced down my thoart. Still it has a nice story, nice music, nice characters and well Kain Highwind. Nuff said ! 4 Final Fantasy VIII Final Fantasy VIII feels pretty unique and refreshing but it doesn't tear away the Final Fantasy system. It breaks a few rules, but it still stays true to the series. The Junction system is a addicting add to the game, and the characters feel pretty underated to me. I love Irvine, Zell, Selphie. How much praise do those characters get ? Basically zip. Also the soundtrack is pretty calm and refreshing but it can be also pretty creepy and dark at times depending on the mood of the story. However, something feels like it's missing. Still, it's a underated Final Fantasy in my eyes and gets picked on hugly for trying to be new and different which sucks. 3 Final Fantasy X Yup, this is one of the best games on the PS2. It may not have the open world or controllable airship like it's older brothers, but the deep and emotional storyline and one of the best battle systems in a JRPG in my eyes and really addictive Sphere Grid system makes up for it. And yes, I like Tidus. Tidus may be annoying at times, however he's also pretty carefree, fun and makes me laugh sometimes. Also he's masking his pain, so the goofyness is mostly fake. So haters gonna hate. Oh ! And the Summons ! THE SUMMONS ! THE SUMMMONS ! THE SUUUU-MMMMMMMONSSSSSS !! 2 Final Fantasy IX I can't find words to express this game expect ...ashajakahakahkajakakajak.... *fangasm * 1 Final Fantasy VI The first Final Fantasy to have a female lead ! Yay ! But Final Fantasy VI is my fave because of the amazing characters, amazing storyline, amazing music, amazing EVERYTHING. Minus the aged graphics, I personally feel like this game is flaw-less to the fullest amount. If you haven't played this Final Fantasy yet, please, please, please do. 1 coolwings reacted to this

coolwings 1,546 Posted November 23, 2012 (I have nothing better to do so..) 1. VII- This game has always been my favorite. Not just because it had the best villain Sephiroth but because of the whole story. You have to admit, 7 has one of the best stories created in all video games. This game also had my favorite type of battle system, which IMO it never became boring. 2. X- IMO best story I've ever heard. This story is probably the best story in the whole FF game series IMO. Although the story was great, the battle system wasn't very good. I never liked this type of slow combat, it could get quite boring at times. 3. Crisis Core- My second favorite story in a video game, although I quite liked the gameplay, I hated the annoying leveling up system, the only way to level up is if you're lucky which sometimes takes way longer than gaining EXP 4. VIII- Great story with some quite good characters, only problem was the magic system. 5. XIII- Third best story in the FF series IMO. If you look back after you have completed this game it seems really great but if you are playing it, it seems quite boring, reason: The battle system is really boring and repetitive which made grinding hell 6. V- Great battle system, grinding was quite boring since it took a while to level up. Only big problem was it is too long and you just seem to be doing the same thing over and over. 7. XIII-2- The story wasn't as good as XIII but at least the battle system wasn't as bad. I loved fighting with monsters and using feral link's 8. XII- If I replay this game I'm sure I would give it a better mark. All I remember from it now is a lot of grinding! 9. IV- I played this once ages ago, I never really got into it that much but it seemed to be quite good. 10. X-2- I actually quite liked this game. Although it kinda ruined the FFX series, I really enjoyed the gameplay. (Sorry to all fans of III, VI and IX, I haven't played enough of those games to judge them. I love all FF games and a lot of these games come quite close together, just because I put one game lower than another one doesn't mean I don't love that game, I just like it a bit less. This is also all in my opinion if you don't think it is correct then that is your opinion, but don't take offense if I didn't put your favorite game as number one ) 1 Mystics Apprentice reacted to this
Daniel Black 1,981 Posted November 23, 2012 Somehow... i expect to see Dave here... Anyway here is my top ten. Number 10- Final Fantasy XIII I am from the old school. So i suposse i would want to see a Final Fantasy like the old ones on the actual generation. Anyway, we have FFXIII. The story of Lightning and the fight against fate is good, but at some points (As any story have) the flaws comes to light. I don´t like the gameplay system, i think is too .... simple and linear for be a game for this time. But the music is one of the elements that save the game, a nice combination of instrumental and tech. Number 9 - Dissidia Final Fantasy A duel between Final Fantasy heroes and villains.... who would have expected it? A story explaining the time loop on FF1, the game itself keeps one playing it for a long time. Also many of the arrangements of the game are good enough. What i don´t like is how they used Amano arts..... really? ¬¬ what were they thinking? ... hehehe Number 8- Final fantasy I & II Dawn of Souls. A compilation of the two original Final Fantasy for the NES with the extra story Dawn of Souls for Final Fantasy II. Just for nostalgic ones od the 8 bits era. Number 7- Final Fantasy X I really tried to love the story. But i can´t ... also the characters...meh... but music and gameplay. YAAAAAAY. Number 6- Final Fantasy III How can i love more FF3 than FF10? I can´t really say why. The four warriors of Light, holding the hope for a world fading into darkness. A simple story but functional. The Job system was the first step to the progress of the franchise. Also the music themes like Elia the maiden of water, The boundless ocean, and the boss battle theme are too epic. Number 5- Final Fantasy V Just not too good, but not too bad either. Number 4- Final fantasy IV Rydia. Cecil.Dar knight. Rosa. Kain. Golbez.Music.Story....what else could i need? Number 3- Final Fantasy IX Simply majestic. Nice Story. Well developved characters. Villain... of dudose sex, but baddass in the end, summons. It has all...but not enough for be on the first place. Number 2- Final Fantasy VII I don´t need to say why here... SEPHIROTH! .... AERITH and CLOUD.... (Top game list don´t include Tifa) Number 1- Final fantasy VI The best in my opinion. A golden jewel for the time. Kefka is really one of the best developved villains in the saga. tactician, a crazy nut, and a genocide. The world of balance and the world of ruin. (guess who ruined it) Terra, Celes, Locke, Mog, Cyan, Shadow, Relm, Strago, Setzer, Gau, Edgar and Sabin... all the characters well developved and with their own stories and destinies. And the music... i don´t know where to start... (Go to the Blackjack) . 1 axele reacted to this

dusk 910 Posted November 23, 2012 10. Final Fantasy X 9. Final Fantasy III 8. Final Fantasy IV 7. Final Fantasy Crisis Core 6. Final Fantasy Final Fantasy IX 5. Final Fantasy Dissidia (I know that 012 is pretty much better, but this is just closer to my heart spent 248 hours in this so there wasn't too much for dissidia 012) 4. Final Fantasy II (I really like the storyline and it was the only FF game where I had feeling of "knight" in game. ) 3. Final Fantasy Final Fantasy I (The storyline is so good compared to other games from NES era and the gameplay is really fun and I really like Garland) 2. FF VI (Amazing villain, great storyline, the gameplay feels smooth and balanced) 1. FF V (Good storyline, best gameplay system, ExDeath is cool. I overall like the character design)
Dracozombie 4,554 Posted November 24, 2012 1. VII 2. VI (I hope no one kills me) 3. IX 4. X 5. Crisis Core 6. V 7. VIII 8. X-2 9. Uh... that's it. I mean, I've played more FFs but I didn't like them. IV had too much grinding involved just so the monsters in the next dungeon wouldn't gang rape my party, even worse when you don't even get to keep half of them. The other early FFs had a similar difficult, especially II which frankly terrifies me. I think I'm a pussy gamer. I hadn't played FF XII, XIII or its sequel, I don't like strategy games so I hadn't played any of the Tactics series, I hadn't played the MMOs (XI and XIV), or any of the Chocobo Dungeon spin-offs. I hadn't gotten around to playing Dissidia, either, even though I have both it and its sequel (prequel?) lying around somewhere. Huh, now that I think about it, maybe I'm not as hardcore an FF fan as I thought.
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted November 26, 2012 Let's see here... 10. Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus -- I'm not shooter fan, so I thought the gameplay sucked. I did however enjoy the storyline along with the characters. As you'll find below, I'm quite the fan of Final Fantasy VII, so this game managed to make it on my top ten list. 9. Mystic Quest: Final Fantasy -- I wonder if anyone has ever played this one before? I know I'm odd for enjoying this game, but I remember playing it at four years old and loving it. Not that the game is that great, since it's the typical "you save the crystals and you save the world" story, but I have a lot of nostalgia where this title is involved. 8. Final Fantasy III -- This game is HARD! Anyone looking for a difficult game would do well to look into this one. You frequently have to stop to level up characters, which is quite different from what you'll find in Final Fantasies VII-XIII. Apart from that, the gameplay's enjoyable. (But, then again, I like old-school RPGs.) The story and characters are FLAT, though. 7. Final Fantasy X -- The gameplay is fun. I like Wakka and Lulu (namely watching them bicker). The sphere grid is amazing! Oh how I enjoy playing around with it, hehe. I don't enjoy the story all that much--which kind of surprises me--but it's a good game, and worthy of being called a Final Fantasy. 6. Final Fantasy IX -- The gameplay's fun, more like older Final Fantasies than VIII or X. The characters are interesting, as is the story. Overall it's good. Not my favorite, but good. 5. Dissidia 012 duodecim -- Well, I'm not a huge fan of the storyline itself, but it's got my favorite characters in it, so I'm good! 4. Final Fantasy IV -- I loved the characters. The gameplay wasn't too bad, and I enjoyed the variance in dungeons. The only real gripe I had about this game was the story. It was too flat. However, the CG graphics in the DS version were awesome, especially after having played the flat 2D SNES version. 3. Final Fantasy VII -- Great story, great cast. My favorite part of this game was watching the story unfold, never knowing where I'd be lead off to next. I also really enjoyed the battle setup and equipment available. Call me a nutcase, but I greatly enjoy sorting out materia to my party members... Of course, the cast was awesome, but they could've developed Cloud a bit more. (Instead they chose to develop him throughout Advent Children and Crisis Core...quite disappointing.) 2. Final Fantasy VI -- It was one of the first Final Fantasies I ever completed, and have loved it ever since. The characters have more depth than I've seen present within any Final Fantasy, not to mention each one has such a superb background. Heck, even Gao's interesting, and, especially for a side character, that's saying something. Kefka is also my favorite villain of all time, which truly makes me rate this game so high. 1. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII -- I like it for many of the same reasons I like Final Fantasy VII, except I like Crisis Core more for the improved graphics, amazing story, Sephiroth's good for half the game, and...Zack. I *heart* Zack. 1 axele reacted to this
