fakeybro101 0 Posted November 23, 2012 Yes. Nintendo is well known for their unoriginal IPs Like |Kid Icarus. Metroid zelda Kirby steel Diver Dillon's Rolling Western Pushmo Nintendo Land Pikmin Find Mii The 3DS The Wii U Severe lack ofcreatvity, with no unique or trend setting ideas so eve... oh wait (Conversely, we have what? inFAMOUs 2 with more of the same. Little Bog Planet 2 with more of the same. A Smahs Bros rip off. A wii knock off...) Yes NIntendo is original. That would explain why they keep milking old franchises, hoping to squeeze out every last penny they have to offer. They're even desperate enough to dig down deep and milk Kid Icarus and Donkey Kong. In conclusion: NIntendo does have original IPs (Zombie U and most of the games you listed), but they seem to focus a lot on milking franchises from 20+ years ago. They didn't dominate the previous console generation or anything. If your definition of 'milk' a fanchise is 'keep making games' then... that's really stupid. And if you have a problem with Nintendo continuing old franchises, but also making new games, then you're ho;ding a ridiculous double standard to them and... dig down deep and milk Donkey Kong. pfft.Okay Yeah Donkey Kong is totally an old obscure franchise yeah NIntendo does have original IPs (Zombie U ... you're not really paying attention, are you?ZombieU isn't made by Nintendo at all 2 OthersiderME and Caity reacted to this
Caity 3,946 Posted November 23, 2012 I'd be pissed, but seeing the amount of consoles I have to buy for Kingdom hearts (and if I knew of it earlier I would have bought a GBA just for COM as well) I wouldn't be surprised, in fact I'd be shocked if they didn't, so I'd be forced to go out and get ANOTHER console, that I can't afford any other games on, just for Kingdom Hearts. Caity 3,946 Posted November 23, 2012 Nobody is forcing you It practically is. If I want to continue with the series that got me interested in gaming, I have to save and buy these consoles that I can't even afford games on. My PSP has 3 games (2 were given to me), my 3DS has 2 games (it was used with 1 installed and DDD was a gift). I don't want a PS Vita, but if they actually have it where "cross-controller" is NEEDED to play KH on the PS3, then I will have to buy another console for one game. It's not technically full on "forcing" but it's basically "buy this new console to continue with the story or otherwise abandon the series altogether", which no fan wants to do. Well, if what you want is story, KH13 has the cutscenes and such on youtube
Caity 3,946 Posted November 23, 2012 Well, if what you want is story, KH13 has the cutscenes and such on youtube But to me, real fans want to actually play it. I can't sit still watching someone else play a game on youtube, it's just not enjoyable to me. I would be grand with all the multiple consoles if they were more affordable, but being from my financial background keeping everything on one console is the only way I can really "afford to play". Even if they made ports to the PS3 (or Xbox) I would just wait for them, rather than saving up for months to buy another console that I'll use for KH and just have to store in a basket til I can afford more games for it.
