Kingdom Hearts: KHXIII (Roleplay)

Recommended Posts

Damn it of all the times not to have a map. This place was far to large in what could be considered real life. The PSP made it look small and easy to navigate. "Goddamn it. Ventus! Do you got a clue which direction we need to go in?" Standing next to one of many houses within the district in the now peaceful Radiant Garden she put the boy on the ground. "Okay Ventus can you tell Merlin to come here and we'll be right on our way?" That feeling she had. It was so deadly familiar.

Letting Wayward Wind vanish in a familiar surge of energy he nodded to William's request. "I'll be back in a minute. Hopefully they won't come back that soon." Turning sharply on his feet the blonde tore off the coat before making way to find Merlin. Though his friends expression told him he'd come back to something fairly interesting if he took long enough.

Looking at the boy for a second she gave herself a pat on the back for what she had done so far. "At least it can't get any weirder-" Damn it all to hell.Crashing face first into the solid pavement that covered the streets she let out a ear piercing scream not expecting to get knocked over again. Looking to her side she nearly jumped from the sight. "Roxas is here to....?"

Earlier with Roxas

He wasn't supposed to be here. He was with Sora but then he wasn't dragged into the painful light that he hadn't seen in a while. That was only a second before he slammed into the ground in somewhere completely unknown to him. A looming castle so painfully familiar startled him into noticing more of his environment. Old houses being built scatter around the whole area, cracks within the walls of a solid wall that protected the small town, beautiful remnants of the old world still lingered, and one more castle slowly being built to it's former glory. "Hollow Bastion....?" His voice sounded cracked and tired though he realized he still yet had to care about it. The next instant he was running from Heartless determined to kill him. Fun way to wake up.

I was awoken by a piercing scream and struggled to look around.

Alright, Ventus is here, so this must be around Birth by Sleep...

Wait? Two Ventuses? No, that's Oathkeeper and Oblivion... Roxas!

Great, I'm stuck in a melting pot of the entire Kingdom Hearts Universe.

I tried getting up to no avail, and my eyes nearly slid shut again, as I fell back down.

They're struggling with all the Heartless. The girl's down.

I gotta...

I began focusing my helplessness into frustration.

*Weakly raises hand, and a tomb of ice with the density of obsidian molds around him

*Shadows teem around the pod, like electricity in water, and jolt anything that comes near.

I couldn't extend the protection around the girl! She's not gonna....

I passed out, feeling guilty, weak, and sickened about what might happen, since I couldn't create a larger barrier.

Rikuva faded into existence above Nick. "Fool. Get up." she spoke in a piercing tone. She put her hand out, and refilled his energy. "Your job is not done yet." She did not know why she was doing this. She did not help the heroes and villains of this realm. She merely watched. Rikuva sighed. 'I must be losing my touch.' she thought to herself. "If you're not going to get up and help me, I'll just destroy these heartless myself." she said again, insulting the boy as she summoned her keyblade. Rikuva dived into the enemy. Like a whirlwind, she spun, slashing at everything in sight, well-placed guards and counters appearing on occasion. Black electricity and wind surrounded, as if she really was a storm of darkness and death.

I was in a pitch black abyss.

Was this merely a state of mind? Did my heart wander to the Realm of Darkness? I wasn't sure.

All I knew was that being that close to the darkness was recharging me rapidly.

I could see how some would be scared, overwhelmed, frightened, or panic. Those were the ones who the darkness would devour. Those were the ones who would emerge from my icy coma a Heartless.

Instead, I let it fuel me and made it mine, embracing the cool wind passing through my body. As I became more comfortable, I knew I would emerge with new abilities and was pleased at the thought. I wondered about the battle that was occurring and the poor girl but wouldn't let myself grow impatient, for that would be a passageway for the darkness to eat away at me.

Suddenly, I felt a new burst of energy. Some outside source lending me power.

The blackness began looking like cracking ice, and I was soon facing the sky, lying on my back.

A Heartless suddenly protruded my view of the clouds above, and I opened my palm towards it.

A chilly, light blue beam engulfed my hand and shot out a sword's length towards the Heartless, impaling it like a jagged icicle.

I groggily stood up, my cold weapon feeling as weightless and precise as a laser.

Another Heartless jumped at me from the side, and I turned to block horizontally with my Ethereal Blade.

The beam was broken on impact like weak ice, but the snowy fragments fell onto the Heartless. They formed into expanding icy patches until the Heartless was completely enveloped and fell out of the air, hitting the pavement and shattering.

I rushed and grabbed a smaller Shadow, holding it out in front of me. Darkness seemed to manifest from my hand and slowly spread and intertwine with that of the Heartless. A dense layer of ice perniciously followed onto the areas where I had overpowered the Heartless's darkness with my own. There was a crunch, and I dropped the now utterly petrified Shadow. It shattered on the ground, and the fragments faded to darkness.

I paused for a moment and realized that these tactics would be extremely difficult to use on a human, due to their inner light melting it off or, if they were filled with darkness, they may simply be able to will the freezing not to spread.

Following this, I concluded that I didn't need to fight these Heartless.

They were like the darkness I felt in the coma, threatening to overwhelm me if I couldn't control them.

I quickly willed the darkness in my heart to emit itself and resonate to the beings.

Sure enough, they turned away from me and focused on the other combatants.

I wasn't certain if they would become aggressive again if I continued fighting, so I simply willed any that had come close to the fallen girl to go elsewhere and stood by her.

From there, I noticed another fighter, a girl surrounded in a maelstrom of shadows, swinging at anything in range.

At this point, I began to feel like the only one without a keyblade.

"Let's go." I said to everyone. "Vanitas is waiting out there for us out there."

"The thing is: can we trust him?" Xoncron said.

"He's the one who told me you two were in here. He had every chance to prove he was still a bad guy and he didn't. I trust him." I said. "There's something besides trust for him, isn't there?" Sephiroth said and we began to walk out. I turned red. "Yeah, what's it to you?" I said. "Interesting." Sephiroth said. "What's interesting?" I said, guarded. "You seem to fear for this Vanitas." He said. "A bit." I admitted. "Fear is your greatest enemy. You hold much fear, Lexa."

HOW DID HE KNOW THAT?

As it was, I held an annoyed look to cover the inner freak-out. "It's really quiet." Xoncron said. "Really? Because I keep hearing a high-pitched noise." I said as we made it down to the fourth floor. "I don't hear anything, Lexa." Rixec said. "I must be hearing things." I reached for the next door when the buzz turned into a torrent of sound. I yelled out and collapsed, holding my ears. "Lexa!" I heard a voice but couldn't recognize who said it.

I was too wrapped up in the pain to realize that a boot was coming toward my face. I landed on my back as a Keyblade entered my space. "Long time, no see. But I guess you wouldn't recognize me, you know, with the new look. Oh, right, I need to take that off."

The sound stopped and I looked up. "You're Xero." I said, and backed up. "Yep. No longer your shadow, just Xero." She laughed and I wanted to cover my ears again. I looked around. "Where-" "They're still on the fourth floor, freaking out about you." She smirked. "You should know that this place isn't owned by the Organization anymore. You're welcome." She said and grabbed the front of my coat; I was still dazed from the ringing noise.

"Oh, this is so much fun. I should really give Larxy a turn, though...oh, well, guess I'll just be tenderizing you a bit for the main course." I struggled as she lifted me off the floor. "Vanitas is going to kick your skanky-" She adjusted her grip and interrupted me. "Sorry, Lover-Girl, Vanitas has already been taken care of. I'll make sure he get what's coming to him, though."

And with that, I went into automatic. I sent out a Reflect spell out and jumped back, summoning Bond of Flame. "Oooh, you got tougher. I like it!" She giggled. "Let's go!" She summoned a solid black Bond of Flame. "Bond of Flame, meet Binds of Darkness."

I won that battle with the first move. I ran forward and grabbed her Keyblade arm as she swung it, narrowly missing my face. I twisted her wrist harshly. She yelped. "Tell me where Vanitas is, or I'll break it." I said. "You wouldn't dare, you goody-goody two shoes." She glared at me. "Try me." I twisted harder. I knew at this point her wrist was sprained; it was amazing that she still was only as strong as the last time we fought. She groaned. "Give up." I said. "You mentioned something about Larxene; let's hear it." I raised my Keyblade, ready to shatter her arm from the elbow down.

"Okay, okay, okay!" She finally took the hint that I was dead serious. "Larxy's got Vanitas somewhere, she wouldn't tell me! She mentioned it being one of the only worlds that is permanently dark; that's all I know!"  She said. "Good, Xero." I said. "Sorry I had to sprain your wrist, you just weren't getting the point. Are we clear now?" I said. "Transparently." She said and I let go. "Send Marluxia my regards." I said and made an about-face.

"Great. Teleports me off to the twelveth floor." I muttered as I walked onto the eleventh. "Welcome, Lexa." I turned around. "Hello, Marluxia." I said, Keyblade still in my hand. "Can't we have a diplomatic conversation?" He asked. "If you and your posse can agree on it." I replied. "We are agreed, then." He said. "Do you wish to take this somewhere else?" He asked. "I'd prefer we keep this quick and to the point." I said, politely. "Very well, then. I should give you a sincere thank you. " Marluxia said. "Without you convincing Vanitas to leave the fold, taking over Castle Oblivion would have been much harder." I nodded. "You're welcome, then." I said.

"Think about this, Lexa: you and I, we could take the Organization by storm, get rid of Xehanort, free the world from his presence. Isn't that what you want?" He said. "All you have to do is say yes." I scoffed and smiled like a smartass. "Oh, yeah, like your last plan went well: oh, it was bad enough with the Repliku, but then-" I started busting out laughing. "Oh, you'd do a better job selling drugs off a street corner!" I couldn't stop; the irony of the situation was too much.

Marluxia merely waved it off and said, "You wouldn't do it for Vanitas?" I stopped in my tracks. "Deal's off." I said. "What!?" He said. "You just crossed the line." I said. "And since this is purely diplomatic, I'll spare you an ass-kicking." I turned around. "Keep Castle Oblivion. As long as it isn't in the hands of Xehanort, frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." I said and walked away.

One of the only worlds that's in eternal night....It's a start. I rejoined my companions at the third floor and we exited C.O."Where to?" Rixec said. "Traverse Town. It should be quiet enough." I said. "We need to lay low for a bit, recover our strength, especially you." I looked pointedly at Sephiroth. "I'm surprised you're still standing, but, of course, your reputation doesn't always do you justice." Sephiroth looked at me and smirked. "You always speak your mind, don't you?" He said. "Wouldn't have it any other way." I replied. We walked down the road until it turned to grassy field. It sucked that I put the Gummi ship back on auto-pilot back to Radiant Garden and Xoncron and Rixec needed to regain more of their strength to summon their Gliders. What mega-sucked is that I didn't have one. Scratch that, knowing me and my klutzy ass, I'd crash. Hard. After a while, Sephiroth suddenly stopped and turned toward  me.

Sephiroth pulled out Masamune. "Let's test your strength." He said. I grinned widely. "As long as it doesn't involve any permanent wounds or death." I said, summoning Bond of Flame. "Lexa, you sure?" Xoncron said, wary. "Oh, yeah. More ready than I've ever been."

To say I got my ass handed to me is not an understatement, surprisingly. Actually, that is a falsehood. I managed to hold on my own....for the first five minutes. Which was the magic handicap we put on the both of us. Once that five minute "melee-only" handicap was gone, I was really starting to get hammered.

"Okay, I give, I give!" I said as he pinned me down. Again. "Well. Not as good as some, but you should be able to hold your own against most." He said and got off. I pulled out a elixir and chugged it ( it curiously tasted like a Yoo-Hoo). I stood up and brushed myself off. "That...was awesome!"

Xoncron and Rixec looked at me with the weirdest expressions. "What?" I said. "Rixec, I've finally figure out what's Lexa's other type of insanity: adrenaline junkie." Xoncron said. "Massive adrenaline junkie." Rixec nodded. "Oh, shut up, you two; let's get going!" I said and ran ahead. "Lexa, slow down!" Rixec said. "Not a chance in hell!" I said and laughed. And then I tripped on a rock and made an ass out of myself.

Vanitas

I groaned and woke up. "Ah, my head." It felt like someone been using it for target practice. "So, you're awake." I heard another voice say. "Give it a minute and you'll be able to move. I learned that the hard way." He said. "Who're you?" I asked. "Name's Lea, but I'm also called Axel. Got it memorized?" He said. "So you're Lexa's role model." I'd heard Lexa absolutely "fangirl", as she called it, several over this man. "Who?" Axel asked. "A...friend of mine." I said.

I regained some movement and noticed my hand were in a pair of very sturdy cuffs behind my back. It was pitch-black in the room. I started formulating a plan. "Hey, Axel, you wearing cuffs?" I asked. "Yeah, why?" He asked. "Feel around for a keyhole on it." I said. "I already found one, but I can't get the angle right to unlock it. You have a Keyblade, too, huh?" He said. "Oh, yeah." I said and started moving about until I bumped into Axel's back.

"Okay." I summoned Void Gear and pointed it back. I heard it clink to the ground after a few moments of getting it right. "Thanks. Now, hold still. Larxene's got a special pair of cuffs on you and I have to pick this just right. If I do this wrong, you don't wanna know what it's gonna do." I held perfectly rigid until Axel pulled them off. "There we go!" I rubbed my wrists. "What's your name, anyway?" He asked. "...Vanitas." I said and started moving around the walls. "Looking for a door?"  He asked. "Yep." I replied and found a door knob and opened it.

Oh, this was just too easy. That blonde wench was asleep on a couch, snoring softly. "Allow me." Axel mouthed. He walked forward and with expert precision and skill, restrained Larxene. "Nice." I said.  I started going through the papers on the table; recognizing their significance, I stuffed them into a large envelop, containing a letter to Lexa. She'd know what to do when she saw it. I slammed a drawer a little harder than I probably should have.

"Shh, she's waking up." Axel said. We quickly made an exit. 3 seconds later, Larxene must have threw a circuit board because all the lights went out with a certain angry tone to it. "Knew she'd be pissed." Axel said. "So, where are you going?" I asked. "If you are going in the way of Yen Sid's tower, take this." I handed him a letter. "Give this to either Lexa, she looks a lot like you, or Master Yen Sid or the King. No one but Lexa can read this, alright?" I said. "Is Lexa your girlfriend?" Axel asked, grinning. I shook my head. "No." I said.

That night, I went to sleep in a cavern underneath the town. It looked as if there had been a house in the middle of the lake there but it was long gone now. I set up camp where the structure used to be and went to sleep after staring at the stars for a while.

"Vanitas!" I saw her face. "Hey!" I ran over to her. "Late for school again, slacker?" She asked, wind rustling her black and red uniform. "I can't change for the world." I grinned. "Well, it's a good thing you like the uniforms, then, or you'd never wear them." Lexa laughed. "Did you at least do last night's homework?!" "Lexa, you're my girlfriend, not my mom." I said and kissed her hair. "Oh, screw off." She pushed off me, laughing.

The dream faded as she walked over a hill.

"LEXA!" I ran forward as she dangled precariously over a black abyss. "Lexa, grab my hand!" She nodded and reached, straining. We were only inches apart when someone threw me back. I looked up at Ventus's face; this must have been what I looked like when I had when Ventus and I formed the X-blade. "So, how's it feel when the order's reversed?"  I tried to stand up to no avail. "Allow me." He grinned and walked over to the cliff. He reached down and grabbed her wrists pulling her up to eye level. "Farewell, love." He said. He threw her wrists away and she fell, screaming. "NO!" I regained movement and I ran to the edge, watching her fall. "VANITAS!"

I shot up, wide awake. Normally, I can stop a nightmare of my own in its tracks, but this time...this time I couldn't escape. Something had changed. I went over to wash my face in the water. I saw the face in my nightmare in my reflection, grinning at me. I hit the water with Void Gear, wiping it from existence. "What's happening?" I said, confused. I shouldn't be breaking down like this. Something was up. "Alright, time to stop beating around the bush." I said. Yep, it was time to stop be a semi-stalker into a full-fledged stalker. The stalkee (is that even a word, stalkee? -_-): Lexa.

Things were going to be much harder this way, but...it felt right.

(Dear god. Now to spaz the trio of blondes.)

First she saved Ventus, found that a friend on the site was now basically the key to this thing, Vanitas was much more of an ass here then in the game, Ventus also had a evil side, that Lexa was doing stupid things, she had phone, she had a crush, Ventus, Roxas was here, and this. Damn Roleplaying to hell. "Roxas get up if you're awake!" Shouting so loudly her voice began to crack the wait of the hooded blonde was to much with the pain she felt now. Ventus was out of sight, out of range, and unknowingly heading away from a serious situation.

The noises were starting to hurt his head. Shouting, hissing, more shouting, a girl, who knew his- "How do you know my name?" It was hoarse but heard. Heartless drawing closer to the both of them. "Just hold on please for minute. I can get us somewhere else." Cold, stinging pain flooded his arm then a sinking feeling sent in as black covered his face. Then there was nothing but blackness covered with foggy calmness.

Oh god her lungs were filled so deeply with black. The pain she felt grew worse with the stinging tendrils gripping anything it could.

No one was there not even the older guy Cid. Without anyone there waiting would be pointless. The feeling of being watched scared him. Walking around the room he continued to circle it trying to find the source. Apparently it was more detirmed to find him. "William and Roxas?!"

((I think I can string something together))

The girl started to shift, and Nick sighed in relief.

Alright, she'll get up, we'll finish off these Heartless, and they'll explain everything.

"Huh?"

A Keyblade flew, spinning through the air, at Nick. He brought his arm that quickly encrusted itself in ice, up to block blow, but it still severely damaged and knocked him back. Nick's eyes widened as he realized that the projectile was non-other than a Kingdom Key, which had to belong to...

The key burst into  light and reappeared in Sora's hands, who, from afar, shouted something dumb, like "Where's Kairi!?"

Are you kidding me?

Donald and Goofy weren't present, which Nick supposed was a plus, but this was still going to be difficult. If you think I'm talking about fighting Sora, that hadn't even occurred to Nick; all that was on his mind was escape. Even from the distance, he could feel Sora's incredibly strong light eating away at his energy.

So this is why the villains can never seem to beat him...

Nick quickly formulated a clever plan, and summoned a motionless, exact copy of himself directly in front of Sora out of a burst of shadows. The young hero jumped back in surprise, and Nick used the confusion as an opportunity to sprint down the nearest alley. Sora cautiously circled the ice sculpture for a bit, then cleanly sliced it in half, scowling, as it shattered.

He quickly ran off in search of his real opponent.

(Time to crash reality on the trio. Till they go running for ya or from ya.)

Recognizing the other blonde before him the shock almost to much for the young blonde himself. "Um...... I know!" Holding his hand out, consentrating the best he could, a soft greenish light formed in his hand before the healing magic washed over the other two. Of course he should of realized the mistake of being so close to the Nobody.

First he had landed with the girl, secondly was that a blonde almost identical to him was standing next to him. Feeling the energy return to his sore limbs Roxas did the one thing that came to his mind first. Demand a explanation. Jumping up quickly, pushing the other blonde away from him, he held Oblivion and Oathkeeper firmly in a fighting stance. "Who are you?! The both of you?!" Confused so very confused.

Oh god that was not fun. Looking up as she gazed at the two blondes making sure to get there names right on the first try. "Hey calm down Roxas. I'm William or Rixku if you prefer. He's Ventus a really good friend of mine. We're trying to stop Xehanort from well you know what he's tring to do?" The nod let her release a well needed breath.

"Ya I'm Ventus and um.... Do you mind helping us I guess is the best way to put it." It was weird staring at the identical face. Though the Nobody looked just as confused as him right then. Which may of been a good thing.

Letting the key blades vanish into light he nodded. "Okay..... I'll go with you...... As long as I get the chance to figure out why I'm here now...." Oh god his head hurt now. That and he felt so out there. Pulling the hood over his head the girl's sudden shouts sent him on edge again.

"Goddamn it all! I forgot the boy! The first thing we do is find him!" Over protective sister mode was annying but it got the message through to the two duplicates. "Follow me NOW." Using a the firmest voice she could muster then, an almost impossible thing to do, she started out the door with the two boys in tow. Oh sh really was an idiot sometimes.

(Wondering if Rixec will ever be back...We miss you here, Rixec! WARNING: CONTAINS LOVE! KEEPING IT REAL AT PG-13)

Vanitas

I looked over a hill as Lexa and her friends set up camp. I recognized the original three, but who was the new one...? A Flood gave a pair of binoculars over and I watched more closely. Binoculars: now I'm officially a professional stalker. I had to know, though...I focused in on the fourth man.

"What in the hell is she doing with him?!!" I had a miniature heart attack when I realized who it was. "She has to know; I know she knows!" I assured myself. Oh, the one man out there I had problems stacking up against; oh, sure, I think I could tangle with Xehanort and get off pretty clean, but this guy?! NO.

I sighed, put the binoculars away and looked at her. She seemed twenty times as happy as I'd ever seen her; she joked around with her friend, Xoncron, I think and laughed. Maybe I should just disappear. I shook my head. She obviously cared for me. I'd never had any who actually gave a damn about me and I wasn't about to pass that up. I layed back and listened to her talk; I couldn't make out what she was saying, but her voice was music enough.

"So, you've decided to be my stalker, eh?" I started up. She stood over me, smiling. "Dammit." I muttered. I was getting sloppy, falling asleep on a mission. A mission of my own, at that. "Relax, it's 3 in the morning. No one else noticed you." Lexa said.

"You've taught me all to well. I hope you're not mad at me." She said, apologetically. "Why would I be mad?" I said, sitting up. "I mean....I kind of kicked your ass and left back there..." Lexa said, sitting down and curled her knees against her chest. "Oh, that...Nah, I'm good. A good ass kicking every now and again keeps me on my toes." I said. She chuckled, softly.

"I do have one question, though..." I said. "Oh?" She said. "Why did you..um..." Dear Kingdom Hearts, was I BLUSHING?! I felt heat in my face and hoped that the poor lighting would prevent her from seeing. "Oh, that..." She said. "I learned from an old Keyblade Master that you and I are....Swear you won't freak out! Promise!" She demanded. "I promise." I said, solemnly. "Pinkie swear?" I said. "Why the hell would I pinkie swear?!" I said, skeptical. "Make's it official. If you break this promise, I'll break your pinkie finger." She said, matter-of-fact tone. "Seems legit." I said and crossed my pinkie over hers.

"Okay, I learned from a highly reliable source that you are my....light....and I am yours as well. We are more bonded together than most hearts. Look, before you make any objections, this is not my choi-" I pressed a finger to her lips. "Give me a minute to process that." I said.

She waited patiently as different parts of my mind went at war.

SHE'S LYING! IT'S BULL-It makes sense, nothing else is-

WHY WOULD SHE TELL YOU THE TRUTH, SHE'S GIVEN NO REASON TO-

LIKE HELL, SHE HASN'T-

SHUT UP! I heard a new voice roaring in my head. This emotion was so much stronger than any other I'd felt in a long while.

LEXA IS TELLING THE TRUTH AND YOU CAN ALL GO-

The emotions in my head argued until I commanded them to stop. They quieted down and I was left to pick the pieces by myself. Suddenly, I reached a moment of clarity.

"Lexa?" I said. "Yeah?" "Do you trust me?" I asked. "Of course I do. Why do you ask?" She said. "I need you to close your eyes and promise not to move or open them until I say so. I swear I'm not going to hurt you, and if I do, you can break both of my legs."  "Getting a little violent, aren't you?" She said, but did as I said.

I leaned over and put a hand behind her back. "What-" "Shh." I said. She stiffened but remained still. I leaned forward and pressed my lips to hers. I'd meant it to be quick, but apparently, we both had other ideas. Lexa grabbed the back of my hair and pulled me close.

Lexa

HO. LY. Kingdom Hearts.

I'M MAKING OUT WITH A VIDEO GAME CHARACTER.

TO BE SPECIFIC, VANITAS. FREAKING OUT.

My mind was a blur as I pulled Vanitas closer to me. I wasn't about to pass up on this. My heart jarred as he parted my lips. I melted into his strong frame as we continued in a frenzied haze. Holy shit, dark chocolate. Suddenly, I was on the grass instead of on my rear. Vanitas pulled down the zipper on my coat, still caught up in the moment. "Stop, stop, stop." I said and pushed him off. I zipped up the coat, red in the face. "Wow." Vanitas said, sprawled out in the grass. "You are a great kisser." "Nice try, trying to get beyond second base." I said.

"Can't blame me for trying." Vanitas chuckled. "Shut up." I replied and looked up to the stars.

"So, are you gonna stick around?" I asked after a while. "...No. I don't think your friends would really like me and I really don't wanna be around Sephiroth. Kinda paranoid here." He said. "Speaking of which, watch your back with him. I don't trust him, and neither should you; whatever he owes one of you, or how pure his intentions seem to be, always remember, he's crazier than a cave full of bats on acid." I nodded and then snickered. " 'Crazier than a cave full of bats on acid' ." Vanitas rolled his eyes. "I'm serious." He said. "Alright, alright, I will; you can't expect me not to laugh at that." Vanitas stood up. "Leaving?" He nodded. "You'll be back, right?" I said. "And why would neglect my stalker duties?" He said. I laughed again.

" 'Night, Vanitas-Oh, WAIT A MIN-" Vanitas quickly covered my mouth. "You tryin' to get me busted?!" He said and moved back. "Xero said you-" "I got out. I also managed to meet your role model." He said. "Role model? You mean you met-" I looked up in awe. "Wow." I said. "I thought you might get a kick out of that." He said and opened a dark corridor. "Bye." I said. "See you later." He said and walked into it, leaving me alone. I punched my arm. "Ow." Okay, so it wasn't a dream. Wow. Just-Wow.

"So, fell asleep looking at the stars?" I opened my eyes. "Hi, Xon. Yeah, I did." I said. "Heads always in the clouds, isn't it?" He shook his head. I laughed, nervously. "Go wash up, you look like you rolled around in the dirt." Xoncron suggested. "'Kay." I shrugged and walked down the hill and east to find a stream.

"Ah, cold!" I tried putting one of my feet in. My shoes were starting hurt my feet. "Good thing these are built to last." I looked inside. "Ugh, certainly not to reek, though." I wrinkled my nose. I washed my face and hands and was starting to put my shoes back on when I saw a familiar face.

"Oh. 'Morning, Sephiroth." He stood just a few feet from me. "Indeed." He returned. I started subconsciously analyzing the area. A small hill blocked any view of the stream from the campsite or the hill I was on before. I quickly put on both of my boots and started up the hill. "Leaving so soon? I thought we could talk." Maybe Vanitas is too paranoid. He did owe Rixec, he wouldn't do anything to me...I walked back. "I thought about it." I said and sat back down, watching the water flow.

"You know, I've considered something." He said. "I do owe your friend Rixec....but to you, I have nothing owed." I felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up on end. "What do you mean?" I said, calmly. "What I mean is..." He pulled out Masamune. "You really are isolated out here. Let's just say there was an accident, hypothetically." He said. I jumped back and summoned Bond of Flame. "An accident that you caused!" I said. "Let's see your true strength." He said.

I hit Masamune as it came down. He pressed hard and I felt my right foot start to slide back. I dodged out of the way as it came the rest of the way down. Up, down, right, left, his blade always met mine with grace and ease. "Show me your real strength." He called out as we assessed one another. I ran forward; he swung the blade at me. Time slowed down and I saw a one-in-a-billion chance. I dodged the blade and jumped on top of it. Using force against him, I ran across the thin length of Masamune and kicked Sephiroth in the face. He fell on his ass and I ran around him. I met a invisible wall. "Barrier." I said it like a curse. I used a very powerful Firaga and sent up a flare, praying that Xoncron and Rixec would see. Sephiroth stood up. "Wrong move." He said, an angry look in eyes, his face still expressionless as before.

I was fighting a losing battle.

But I'll be double-damned if I don't at least try.

He had been holding back, this was so much different than last time we had fought. Kingdom Hearts I and II did NOT do him justice. I was panicking too much to focus on any lyrics to through at him. I was about to send a Aerial Firaza when he grabbed my ankle and threw me into the water. I landed hard against the rocks. I felt something warm running down my back as I sat up. I was soaked through. I tried to recall the flames only to find steam. "Out of fire, aren't you?" He mocked. "Meet your last sight!" He thrust Masamune toward my chest. I closed my eyes as I braced for impact. Vanitas, I'm sorry! I heard the sound of metal hitting metal.

I looked up.

There stood Vanitas in full dark glory. "You just made the poorest decision in your miserable life." He said in a deadly quiet tone. "And what would that be? Let me know what you hold dearest so that I might take it from you." Sephiroth leered. I felt a pair of arms encircle me and pull me up. I looked to see Rixec and Xoncron. "Lexa, we got to go!" Xoncron said. "I'm not leaving him." I said. "That's not-"

We stopped and stared as the bright morning sky turned pitch black. I heard a lot of metal and yelling as we stood there, frozen.

A few moments later, the darkness faded away. I saw Vanitas standing on his feet, just barely though. He was an absolute mess: broken, bloody nose, his helmet was dented to hell, his clothes were in tatters, but on his face was a triumphant smile.

"Jesus Christ, Vanitas!" I tried to stand up. "No." Xoncron said. "If you think this is bad, you should have seen the other guy." Vanitas replied and fell on his knees. "We need to get you help!" Xoncron tried to pick me up. "I'M. NOT. GOING. ANY. F&CKING. WHERE. WITHOUT. VANITAS!" I gripped the ground as Xoncron tried to tug me up. "What is with you? It's not like he's your boyfriend!" Xoncron said. My face gave it away. "Oh, you're kidding? Oh, you've got to be-"

I honestly don't remember what happened next; next thing I knew, I was waking up in Radiant Garden. "Hey, there, Sleeping Beauty." I heard a low murmur. "You stayed!" I said and sat up. Vanitas grinned. "You really are a fighter. Lots of broken bones and a concussion that you are still recovering from." He remarked. "So, how'd it go with the guys?" I asked. "Well, after a bit of loud negotiations, we made a truce." He said. "You're awesome." I said. "Tell me about it." He said.

"Vanitas?"

"Yeah?"

"Love you." <3

"Rest. You need it."

"Doesn't change that I lo-""Don't you dare say that word."

I fell back asleep, laughing.

Shorter than usual, but still long. This one only took a day. I'm starting to really get into this.

(Sorry Lexa. I've been busy with schoolwork. At least I got a good idea out of your latest post though.)

It was late and I was dead tired.

I was walking along by myself in the dark as I thought back on everything that had happened since I got sucked into Kingdom Hearts. I had been targeted so many times and it seemed more than likely we were all gonna die a few times. One time I guess I actually did die. If this is what we were all going through now then where would we be a day from now? A month? A – dear Lord – year?

I raised my hand up and summoned a ball of light. The shine eliminated the darkness around me and I felt its warmth course through my body.

“Can’t sleep without a night light?”

The light died and I snapped my head back to see Xoncron’s darker half. I could never remember what his name was – it never seemed important to me.

“You picked a good time to die,” I growled as I summoned my Keyblades.

“You got me all wrong Bringer of Light,” he sneered. “I simply came to talk.”

“And I came to kiss my ass,” I said sarcastically.

“Did you know your friend Lexa is kissing Vanitas about now?” he asked.

“You’re not putting much into your lies tonight,” I countered.

“You’re right about that one,” Xoncron’s dark half smiled, “because this isn’t a lie.”

“That would never happen! One: he’s evil. Two: I’m pretty sure there’s something going on between her and Xoncron. Three: he’s evil.”

“You said he’s evil twice,” he said.

“You bet I did,” I shot at him.

Xoncron’s dark half burst into laughter and wiped a tear from his eye. “Well, at least you’re still funny.”

“How would you even know something like that?” I asked, rolling my eyes.

“Dark half of your best friend, remember?” he shrugged. “So I know you about as well as he does. Or thinks he does.”

“What does that mean?” I asked.

“How truthful are you always with him? How many snarky comments, rude thoughts, have you kept hidden?” he asked.

“None,” I said, taking step back. “And it’s not like you would know.”

“For one thing, you think he stinks terribly; probably from his cologne,” Xoncron’s dark half said, “two, you think he’s way too silly in public…”

“Shut up!” I exclaimed. “You’re just trying to mess with my head, saying random things! You know nothing about me!”

“And three,” he smirked, and he whispered so quietly I barely heard him and froze up.

“How…?”

“Your heart was once trapped with mine,” he laughed. “I learned a few things about you while we were one.”

“It doesn’t mean you can control me,” I growled.

“Control you? Oh no no no no no,” he shook. “It’s always better for you to act of your own will.”

“What do you mean?” I asked. I felt a bead of sweat drip down cheek and wanted to kill him more than anything.

“People always start off good, but something happens that makes them fall to the Darkness. The more light a person has, the harder the fall and the more likely they won’t climb back up. And you, Bringer of Light, will probably never get back.”

“I would never give my heart to Darkness,” I whispered.

“Never say never,” he laughed and started to back away. “And remember what I said about Vanitas.”

Xoncron’s evil half disappeared, leaving me all alone. I put my Keyblades away and fell to my knees. His words, I couldn’t get them out of my head. There was no way what he said was true; there was no way.

I started walking back when I heard someone talking.

“See you later.”

I turned and saw Vanitas walking into a Dark Corridor and Lexa was watching him leave. My mouth dropped at the sight and I saw Lexa punch her arm and said, “Ow.”

I didn’t sleep well that night. I couldn’t keep the image out of my head. I know the two have been in plenty of situations since they met, but a relationship? I hadn’t seen anything so I couldn’t say for sure.

“Dammit!” I said as I stood up.

“Troubling thoughts?”

I turned and saw Sephiroth standing over me. Had he been there the whole night?

“It’s complicated,” I said. I thought back to Lexa and Vanitas. How could I make sure? And whose side was Vanitas on? Didn’t seem like we could trust anybody these days. I had to learn more. But how? Vanitas was gone and Lexa probably wasn’t up to talking about it.

I looked up at Sephiroth and a bad idea came across my mind. I could stay silent, but I had to know. “Sephiroth? Can I ask a favor?”

I watched as Lexa and Sephiroth fought and I saw Vanitas show up. I had asked Sephiroth to fight at full force but not kill anyone. Though this favor came at a price. One I would have to pay. Once I saw Xoncron coming I ran out of hiding and joined him and we grabbed Lexa.

"I'M. NOT. GOING. ANY. F&CKING. WHERE. WITHOUT. VANITAS!" Lexa roared.

"What is with you? It's not like he's your boyfriend!" Xoncron said. Lexa’s face gave it away and I felt my mouth drop. "Oh, you're kidding? Oh, you've got to be-"

I left the two alone and joined Vanitas in the fight against Sephiroth. Xoncron would take care of Lexa, but I had to take care of my mess! I crossed blades with Sephiroth and we looked at each other for a moment before he smiled and said, “Down to six.”

Dark feathers surrounded Sephiroth and he disappeared. I looked down at the unconscious Vanitas and pondered what to do. I could kill him now, but he did come back for Lexa. What do I do?

I was going to hate myself later, but I picked him up and carried him back and got him treatment.

Vanitas and us would spend a long time talking and coming to a truce; I kept my actions hidden the entire time. They didn’t need to know.

While Vanitas checked up on Lexa, I took a walk with Xoncron. “Unbelievable,” he said.

“Exactly,” I told him. “Don’t turn your back on him. He may love Lexa, but he doesn’t love us.”

“That’s a horrible thought,” Xoncron shivered.

“Vanicron,” I smiled and Xoncron punched me in the arm.

“Oh yeah? Well how about Rixnitas?” he joked.

That actually got a laugh out of me and I felt like Xoncron deserved it. He never got many out of me, if any. “Xoncron, make sure you watch Lexa and Vanitas carefully.”

“Of course,” he said. “We’ll keep an eye on them.”

“No, you,” I said.

“What do you mean?” he asked.

“I’m taking some time off,” I told him.

“What? But we’re finally together! All of us!” he exclaimed.

“I know, but there’s something I need to do alone. Alone. You understand, right?” I asked.

“No,” Xoncron sighed. “But I’m sure you wouldn’t do it unless it was important. But remember, you can always count on your friends.”

“I know, thanks man,” I said.

“What do I tell the others?” he asked.

“The truth, a lie, whatever,” I said. “See ya.”

“Later,” he answered.

I walked out of sight and went toward the gates. It was painful to deceive and leave them but I had to. I had a deal to complete.

“And never climb back up.”

I turned and saw Xoncron’s dark half in front of me. “I should kill you now,” I said.

“No need to sick it on me,” he laughed.

“Sick what?” I asked but then I looked down and saw a Heartless forming at my feet.

I jumped back and the Heartless disappeared. I looked at the spot for a few moments and looked up at Xoncron’s dark half. “Tried to kill me with a Heartless,” I growled.

“Oh no,” he smirked. “That was yours.”

“LIAR!” I shouted and three Heartless started to form around me. I gasped and they disappeared. I looked at my hand and summoned a ball of light. I gawked at the shadow swimming around in the light.

“Like I said,” Xoncron’s dark half said as he started to disappear. “The brighter they are, the harder they fall. And never climb back up.”

He was gone and I was alone.

What was happening to me? I had gained my heart back, I had! But would it be at the cost of my soul?

“Rixec.”

I looked up and saw Sephiroth. “Are you ready?” he asked.

“Yeah,” I mumbled and stood up. I walked up to Sephiroth and held his hand. A swarm of dark feathers surrounded us and in moments we were no longer in Radiant Garden.

Xoncron

As I watched Rixec leave I felt certain that he was hiding something. However, I decided not to pry as I was certain he would tell me what he was hiding when he was ready. After all we had now each other since third grade.

I then turned around to rejoin Lexa and Vanitas. As I approached they both turned to look at me.

"Where's Rixec?" Lexa asked.

Norcnox

Norcnox. Xoncron's evil half. Xoncron's darker self. Call me what you will. They're all the same. They're all what I am. I'm the darkest part of Xoncron's heart. His anger, hate, greed, darkest desires, ect. I am everything Xoncron hates about himself and more.

I am finely free from his heart. Free to carry out any of the most unorthidox plans we had thought of but couldn't do because of him. So many plans for world domination that could work. But no I shall carry out my own plan. My plan to destroy everything and rebuild it in my image.

All goes according to plan. The bringer of light is falling into darkness. I have freed Xero from Lexa's heart to distract everyone while my plan unfolds. And soon Xoncron will be forced to choose which of his so called friends lives and which one dies. Yes my plan is coming together, but I shall need an army.

I stepped out of the darkness and looked at the landscape before me. There were keyblades as far as the eye could see. Made sense after all since I was in the keyblade graveyard. I summoned my keyblade, The Path of Midnight, and struck the ground with it. Almost immeadeately a sea of darkness rushed forth from where my keyblade and the ground met and started to cover every inch of the wasteland.

"ARISE MY ARMY! ARISE AND DO MY BIDDING!" I cheered with wicked glee as I watched the deceased keyblade masters crawl up from the earth to reclaim their keyblades.

My God, Xoncron, Rixec, you two are kicking ass!

I woke up and, unfortunately, I remember most of everything. "Son of a b!tch." I said. "Oh, I've managed to mess everything up again."

"I beg to differ." I looked up. Vanitas was sitting beside the bed. "I see you got new clothes." I said. Vanitas was wearing a black sleeve-less shirt and black pants. "My clothes are getting fixed by fairies." He explained. "I don't think they know what to do with it." I laughed.

"She awake?" Xoncron poked his head in. "Yep." Vanitas said. "Mind if I have a private conversation?" Xoncron asked. "Ask her, not me." Vanitas stood up. The two were giving each other death stares."Look, if you two are done playing Alpha Male Smackdown, I'd like to have some peaceful conversating." I said. The two broke their stares to look back at me. " 'Conversating'? "Vanitas said. "She makes up words." Xoncron said. "I prefer to keep my speech creative." I said.

"Now, Vanitas, could you do me a favor?" I asked. "What?" He asked. "I think I already know, but go ahead." "A nice big box of Pocky and a triple espresso?" Vanitas smacked his forehead. "Why in the hell did I ever let you have espresso?" He said, exasperated, but he left. Xoncron sat in the chair.

"Lexa, I can't believe-you-him-how long?" He asked. "Have I liked him, or our relationship?" I said, glaring. "Relationship. How long?" He asked. "Last night." I said. "Lexa, he's trouble! When your back's turned, he's gonna-" "Get the f&ck out of my room." I said. "What?" Xoncron said. "Get the hell out of this room before I blow up. Xoncron, I'm following my heart, and doing as it says. Are you?" I said. "That's not the point, Lexa. This is a bad idea, the worst idea-""THIS IS THE BEST F&CKING IDEA I'VE HAD IN WHILE! THIS IS THE RIGHTEST I'VE FELT EVER SINCE I GOT HERE! AND I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF I'VE BEEN CONCUSSED BY 'PRETTY BOY CHUCK NORRIS', I WILL LAY THE WORST ASS-KICKING YOU'VE EVER SEEN IF YOU DON'T SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP AND GET OUT, YOU PRICK!" I screamed, tears streaming down my face.

I put my head down on my knees and waited for him to leave. After a while, he left. I layed back down with my head in the pillow, soaking it.

"Hey, I got the stuff you wanted." Vanitas opened the door. "Hey, what's up?" He walked over. "Vanitas, I did something stupid." I said. "What happened?" He asked. "I cussed out Xoncron. Really bad." I said. "Damn. What did he do?" He said. "He...has his doubts about you and he touched a massive nerve. I freaked out." "Oh, Lexa." I looked up. "Always to act before thinking." He said.

"Vanitas, got to promise me something." I said and grabbed his hands. "What?" He asked. "Promise you'll never return to the dark. Promise you'll never go back to Xehanort, no matter what." I said. "I swear." Vanitas said. "I mean it, I'm never going back. I'll always be right beside you. Consider me your slave." He grinned, trying to cheer me up.

"Really, now?" I said. "Yep." He answered. "Say you love me." "Ah, why'd you say the L-word?!" He clutched his ears, playfully. "Say it!" I demanded, a small smile on my face." "Never." He said. "Say it, or I'll make you dye your hair Marluxia-pink!" I said. "You truly are a cruel woman." Vanitas surrendered. "Alright: I l-lo-lov- do I really have to do this?" Vanitas said. "Say it or say good-bye to hot, sexy hair." I threatened. "Alright, I love you. There." I giggled. "Wasn't that hard, was it?" I said. "Now that I think of it..."Vanitas said.

"What now?" I asked. "You two need your rest." Vanitas said. "What about you?" I asked. "Who else is gonna bring you espressos?" Vanitas said, putting it in my hand. "Ooooh." I said, smelling it. "Thank you." "I'm going for a walk." Vanitas said. "Okay." I said. "Be careful."

Vanitas

I walked out of the room and out of the house. Xoncron was standing outside, right where he was when I returned. "What the hell?" I said. "What?" Xoncron said. "What the hell did you say to her to make her cry?" I demanded. "None of your business." Xoncron said. "Look-" I grabbed the front of Xoncron's clothes with one hand. "Maybe you didn't get the point with Sephiroth: you mess with that girl, you mess with me. If you ever make her cry like that again, I'll rip off the flesh off your face with a corkscrew, as slowly and painfully as I deem necessary. Are we clear?!" I said and let go.

"I understand that you are worried, and I don't blame you. Just don't take it out on her; she's done nothing wrong. It's me who's the 'bad guy' here." I turned around. "I don't give a damn if you like me or not, I'm sticking around as long as Lexa says. It's what I owe her: my life. Lexa saved me from being destroyed by Xehanort. Her saving me also saved her, more than already know. Think about that." I walked off into the night, wondering what I'd gotten myself into.

Xoncron

I went back inside and found Lexa still sitting on the bed.

"I'm sorry about what I said before," I said as I sat down next to her.

"No, I'm sorry. I understand why you wouldn't trust Vanitas, but I can be just so protective," She said. "I hate getting pissed at my friends, so I'm sorry I cussed you out."

"I know what it's like to get pissed at a friend. After all me and Rixec have gotten pissed each other a few times over the years," I replied. "As for the cussing me out, believe me when I say I've endured a lot worse yelling."

Lexa laughed at that. I smiled back at her. I still couldn't believe that she and Vanitas had gotten together. However, I knew it probably wouldn't be wise to question the sanity of the choice again, not because of Vanitas's threat, but because I didn't wish to upset Lexa again. I probably shouldn't mention what Rixec had asked me to do either. All in all Lexa and I sat and talked for what seemed like an hour until everything went wrong.

"Lexa! Xoncron! Get out here quick!" Vanitas yelled from outside.

Lexa and I glanced at each other real quick, summoned our keyblades, and rushed outside to join Vanitas, who already had his keyblade out and was in his battle stance. When we joined him the sight that greeted us was like something out of a horror movie. Standing before us were four keyblade wielders. What made these keyblade weilders so ghastly was that they were dead. Their rotting flesh hung loosely off their bones, though one of them wasn't nearly as rotting as the other three, and the live had long since vanished from their eyes.

"Please... k-k-kill... usssssss," One of the dead keyblade wielders said with a hiss.

"Mussssst... d-do... a-a-asssss... N-n-n-norcnoxsssss... c-c-commandssssss," The least rotting one said.

"Oh my god," Lexa gasped.

"I knew my darker self was capable of great evil," I said, "but I never thought would he would go so far as to desicrate the dead."

"Whatever you do don't let them touch you," Vanitas said.

"What happens if they touch us?" Lexa asked.

"Let's just say there were only three of them until an unfortunate pedestrian showed up," Vanitas replied motioning to the least decaying corpse.

"Then we'll have to be sure and not let them touch us," I said, and the three of us charged at the corpses.

Norcnox

I watched the battle from over head. All three of them were fools. Especially Xoncron. I should know after all since I am his darkness. So far my new troops were preforming adequately. Even if those three were somehow able to defeat those four corpses I still had thousands more thanks to the Keyblade Graveyard, and they were already under way turning others into undead keyblade weilders.

A wicked smile appeared on my face at the thought. How I wish could have stayed to watch the rest of the battle, but I had a new base of operations to get back to. Xero and her allies had been quite useful in secureing Castle Oblivion for me. I decide that I would keep those pawns around, no mater how irritating they were, until they were no longer of any use. Yes my plan was coming together perfectly.

I paced outside the palace while Sephiroth was finishing his business. Should I have left him alone with the Emperor in Mulan’s world? Probably not. But I needed some time to think. I couldn’t get the idea of me being able to summon Heartless out of my head. It shouldn’t have been possible but I was doing it. I would have to keep control of my emotions to make sure I didn’t summon any. God knows what would happen if they got loose. Unless I could control them…

I smacked my cheeks with my hands and shook my head vigorously. “No! Don’t even think about it. You try to control Heartless and you’re just letting more Darkness in,” I told myself.

That’s right, the Darkness that had already snuck its way into the Bringer of Light. Had it been when I asked Sephiroth to attack Lexa? Or had it already gotten in and made me do it? I just didn’t know anymore.

“P-please… kill –u-ussssss,” a weak moan called out.

My head shot to the side as I saw five warriors that looked like zombies. Two were more rotting than three others, which made me wonder if they were fresh ones. I looked at their hands and gawked at the Keyblades they were holding. Just what were these things?

A palace guard came walking out and went bug-eyes when he saw the zombies. “Guards! We are under attack! Protect the Emperor!”

“Wait!” I said as the guard started rushing at the zombies. He tried to thrust a spear into one of the fresh ones but it dodged and lazily grazed his face with its fingers. I watched in horror as the guard cried out and dropped his weapon. Some of his flesh began to rot, a loud moan coming from him. I saw a Keyblade appear in his hand and his body went rigid. A moment later he looked up with the same expression as the others. “H-help me d-d-die…,” he moaned.

This was horrifying, it was desecrating. Who could have done this? The Organization? Vanitas? Xoncron’s or Lexa’s darker halves? That didn’t matter right now; I had to stop these things. Without letting them touch me that is.

I summoned my Keyblades and charged at the zombies. One immediately tried to reach for my leg but I danced around it and slash it across the back. No blood flowed out though I did hear a moan of pain. One of the zombies thrust his Keyblade at me and I just barely got Oblivion up in time to block. However, the force knocked me off my feet and I hit the ground. The newest zombie tried to bring his Keyblade down on me but I rolled to the side and the sound of the blade hitting the ground echoed.

Palace guards started to show up and charged at the zombies. I called out, “Don’t let them touch you or you’ll turn into one of them!”

My efforts were futile though. The sheer number of guards did manage to land several hits on the zombies but they got too close and soon the zombies grabbed them and started to change the guards. In all the confusion the guards couldn’t get away and soon I was facing a small army of thirty-one. Not one of my better days.

“Not good,” I mumbled as the zombies started to surround me. “Where the hell is Sephiroth when you need him?”

The zombies were drawing closer now. I summoned a ball of light with the shadow swimming inside it. I threw it at one of the zombies and it dealt a major blow. I jumped back as a zombie tried to grab my arm. I was outnumbered and wouldn’t be able to defeat them all before they touched me. What was I suppose to do? I needed help.

I felt and heard my heart beat loud across the palace loudly. I felt it wanting to come out but I couldn’t. It would mean…

I fell to my knees and three zombies lunged for my feet. They were starting to swarm me closely now. I had no choice. “NO!” I roared.

In a matter of moments the zombies were turning around and fighting the small army of Heartless I summoned. It didn’t seem like these things had hearts left but they sure as hell could be torn to pieces. The Heartless seemed unaffected by them.

I got up and joined them in the fight. I slashed the heads off three zombies and pierced the chest of seven others. In just a few minutes we managed to wipe the zombies out. I looked toward the Heartless and only a few had perished in the battle. They all seemed eager for orders.

“Rest,” I said as I struck my Keyblades into the ground. The Heartless went back to where they came from, leaving me in the horror around me.

“So they were out here too.”

I turned and saw Sephiroth coming out of the palace. “They were inside too; not that they were a match for me.”

“Did they get the Emperor?” I asked.

“No, thought some of his guards did change into them,” Sephiroth said. “It was very interesting.”

“Yeah,” I said uneasily, “interesting.”

I rubbed my hands tenderly as I thought about the Heartless I summoned. So soon after I had sworn not to either. What was more important to me? My life or my soul?

“Did you get what you needed from the Emperor?” I asked.

“I did,” Sephiroth smirked. “It is time for us to move onto a world known as “The Grid.”

“Great,” I said and looked at the tattered zombies. “I wonder if they’re there too.”

“Then they will wish for their despair,” Sephiroth said as black feathers started to swarm around us.

“You didn’t kill anybody while you were in there did you?” I asked.

“Maybe one or two guards,” Sephiroth grinned.

“Perfect,” I groaned as we left this world behind.

"Jesus, the thing I'd never expect out of this little adventure: the freaking zombie apocalypse." I said as the three of us met back to back. "Got a plan?" Xoncron asked. "Make it up as we go along?" Vanitas said. "I got nothing."

"Vanitas, your Unversed derive from your negative emotions, right?" I asked. "Duh, why?" He said as he assessed the zombie-fied Keyblade wielders. "And they come back to you once defeated, am I correct?" I said. "What's your point?" He asked. "Vanitas." I said, meeting his eyes. "Unleash Hell."

Vanitas grinned. "That's my girl." He stepped forward. "I need you two to get on top of that building over there. I don't want any accidents." We quickly moved out of the way. The moment we got out of range, I saw the familiar octagonal pattern of a barrier being raised. "Alright, time to cut loose." Vanitas popped his knuckles. Vanitas raised his hands in the air as the four undead charged forward. They were almost immediately blighted out of sight as a mass of dark violet, red and blue rushed over them. When it disappeared, there were only scraps of the clothes the undead wore. 5 seconds; that's all it took for Vanitas to defeat them with his Unversed."Normally, I prefer to do my own dirty work, but I make exceptions." Vanitas lowered the barrier. "Good God." I said. "What?" Vanitas said, putting his hands behind his head, casually. "You scare me sometimes." I jumped off the roof. Vanitas caught me and put me down. "You coming down, Xoncron?" I called up. ".....my foot's stuck in the gutter."

Me and Vanitas looked at each other briefly, then busted out laughing. "Oh...my...God!" Vanitas was beyond words. "Seriously, Lexa, get me out, I'm stuck." "Not helping, Xon!" I said. "We better get him out." Vanitas said. We went to the other side of the house. We tried nearly everything we could to try to get it out. "How in the name of Kingdom Hearts did you even fit this in here?" Vanitas tugged up on the boot. "I honestly have no idea." Xoncron said. Then, Vanitas got the great idea of sending a Reflect spell underneath his boot to get it out.

"You sure this is going to work?" I asked.

"Sure, the worst that can happen is I accidentally send your friend into the stratosphere." Vanitas shrugged."I hate both of you." Xoncron said. "Why couldn't have Rixec stayed, why?"

"Alright, one, two, THREE!" We both fired at the same time. Xoncron sprang back and landed on the ground, accidentally bringing down Vanitas with him.

"Nice job!" I said and laughed.

Xero

"Marly, I'm bored, can I please go have some fun?" I whined to Marluxia. "No, for the final time." Marluxia said, sorting through documents. "Fine, I'll go talk to Larxy. At least she's fun." I said.

"Larxy! La---arxy!" I called out. I saw a boy standing in the middle of the sixth floor. "Hey, who are you?" I walked over and asked. "...a shadow." He said. He had silver hair and wore clothes like mine, except blue; although mine looked sooooo much better on me. "What're you doing here? Larxy never mentioned anyone like you." I said.

He looked at me apprehensively. "You're not with the Organization, are you?" he said. "No, why?" I said. "Hmph." He said and opened a dark corridor. "Think of me as a back-up plan if things fall through with Larxene. Most likely, they will." He said, blues eyes, piercing. I watched in confusion as he briskly walked out.

What was that about?!

Lexa

We decided to spend the night in Radiant Garden to make sure the zombie apocalypse didn't strike again.

"So ready to get out of here." Vanitas muttered. "I know. We'll get going soon." I replied. We walked around the perimeter. Xoncron had decided to check out the outskirts of the city. I would have been doing my own thing, but Vanitas refused to leave my side, his excuse being my concussion.

"So, I heard you took on Sephiroth." I turned around to the voice. "You're Cloud, right?" I said. "Yeah." The blonde said. "Wow." I said. "Nice to meet you, Cloud; I'm Lexa and this is Vanitas." I said. Cloud nodded. "Be careful out there. Your friend, he's going to have a big problem when his deal with Sephiroth ends." Cloud walked past us. "Well, that was to the point." I said.

"Vanitas?"
"Hmm?"
"You ever think about what's out there?" I looked up to the sky.

"I know what's out there: what's to wonder?"

"I mean, farther than anyone's ever gone, out there; it's a big world."

"Hmm.....I guess other worlds out there who have their own problems."

"Yeah....ever think they look up and wonder, too?"
"Most likely."

"Huh..."
"Lexa?"
"What?"
"Have you...." Vanitas hesitated.
"Have I what?" I asked.
"Have you ever had feelings like mine for Xoncron?"
I stopped and laughed.
"It's not funny! I'm dead serious."
I looked up, smile on my face.

"Never. It's mostly like a older brother-sister relationship." I answered.

"Oh....do you have any siblings?" He asked.

I felt the smile slip off my face.

"Three: a 14-year old sister and two five year old twins, a brother and a sister."
"Wow, so you're the oldest?"
"Yeah." I said. "I miss them so much." With everything so crazy, I hadn't really given a thought to my siblings.
"I wish I hadn't asked."

"Why?"
"Because you're sad now and I can't stand it." Vanitas replied.

"Well...at least when I get back, I'll have a great story to tell."
Vanitas remained silent, standing still.

"Vanitas?" I looked up.

"....It's nothing. Let's keep going. Out of the three siblings, which is the hardest to deal with?"
"The 14-year old. No contest." I answered immediately.

Vanitas laughed. "Okay....the song that names the your mood, right now?"

"Oh, that's easy." I said.

"I had a way then losing it all on my own

I had a heart then but the queen has been overthrown
And I'm not sleeping now the dark is too hard to beat
And I'm not keeping up the strength I need to push me

You show the lights that stop me turn to stone
You shine It when I'm alone
And so I tell myself that I'll be strong
And dreaming when they're gone

'Cause they're calling, calling, calling me home
Calling, calling, calling home
You show the lights that stop me turn to stone
You shine It when I'm alone"

I looked up to the sky, a small smile on my face.

"Home.

Noises, I play within my head
Touch my own skin and hope that I'm still breathing
And I think back to

when my brother and my sisters slept
In an unlocked place

the only time I feel safe."

Oh, dear Kingdom Hearts, something wet was going down my face.

You show the lights that stop me turn to stone
You shine it when I'm alone
And so I tell myself that I'll be strong
And dreaming when they're gone

'Cause they're calling, calling, calling me home
Calling, calling, calling home
You show the lights that stop me turn to stone
You shine it when I'm alone."

"Lexa?" Vanitas looked at me. I ignored him and skipped to the next chorus.

"You show the lights that stop me turn to stone

You shine it when I'm alone
And so I tell myself that I'll be strong
And dreaming when they're gone

'Cause they're calling, calling, calling me home
Calling, calling, calling home
You show the lights that stop me turn to stone
You shine it when I'm alone."

I stopped. I couldn't go on. "God, why am I so sentimental?" I wiped my eyes. "We better keep going." I started to walk forward. Vanitas grabbed my wrist and spun me around. "Stop that." Vanitas said, sternly. "What?" I said. "Stop berating yourself for feeling a very real emotion." he explained. "Is this part of the reason you've been so upset lately?" I nodded. "Why didn't you tell me?" He asked. "I...thought you wouldn't give a damn." Vanitas shook his head in disbelief. "Lexa..." He pulled me in, surprising me again. "To tell you the truth, I've never had anyone give a damn about me before, and it continually amazes me that you seem to." He said. "Really?" I asked. "Yep." He replied.

"You wouldn't be pissed if I said I pick-pocketed your I-Pod the other day?"

"At first, yes, and then, no." I replied. "You owe me, though."

"And how exactly would you like for me to repay you?" He asked, grinning.

"I think you know." I said. Vanitas tilted my head up to see my face better. "You know, you are rather sexy when you're flirty."

"Not to mention pissed." I added. "Indeed." Vanitas agreed and closed the space between the two of us.

I heard a metallic sound as Vanitas pulled back. "You hear that?" I said. "What?" Vanitas said.

Suddenly, I was thrown to the ground and a flash of metal and blonde hair flew over me. I hit my head again and saw stars. I looked up and saw Vanitas guarding Ventus's Keyblade. "Ven, stop!" I said and got  up. I immediately got in between the two Keyblades.

"Lexa, did you hit your head?!" Vanitas said. "Yeah, doesn't matter! What-" "LIKE HELL, IT DOESN'T MATTER!" Vanitas started to rush past me to hit Ventus. I grabbed the back of Vanitas's head, using his force against him, reached for Ven's and slammed them together.

"Alright, when you two stop seeing stars, we'll talk this out. Ven, take the memo: Vanitas, not a bad guy. Vanitas, you too: if I have to do this everytime you two argue, then so be it."

I felt someone run and do a flying glomp. "Whoa!" I looked behind me. "William!" I laughed. "Yo." She laughed back. "How's it going?" "Going good." I answered. "Fixed the Vanitas issue, added several more." "I'm happy for you, then. You two going out?" She joked. "Umm...well..." I laughed a bit. "No. Way!" She grinned.

"Who's this?" I looked behind William. "Who's that?" He had his hood up so I couldn't see who it was. "Oh, you can take down your hood now." William said. The boy took down his hood. "Holy crap, I'm seeing double. Lexa, I think you hit me too hard that time." Vanitas said. "Hello, Roxas." I said. "Why does everyone seem to know who I am?" Roxas said. "You're a very popular, likeable guy, I guess." I said. More than he would ever know. "Wait, so I'm not seeing double? Great, Ventus has a clone. Fan-f&cking-tastic." Vanitas groaned.

"Let's find Xoncron and talk things over." I said. "No, let me." Vanitas said and got up. "Huh?" I said. "Hey, I'm a big boy: I can take care of myself." Vanitas said. "You hit Ven and I'll make the fairies dye your clothes yellow and pink." I said. "No problem."

Vanitas offered Ven a hand up. Ven eyed it suspiciously. "Call it a peace offering?" He said. Ven narrowed his eyes at it briefly but took it in to his own and stood up, following Vanitas as he lead them to the outskirts of town. I watched them go.

"Amazing how things can change." I started down into the bailey. I almost immediately felt an ache in my head. I crumpled on my knees and grasped my head. "Ahhhhhh....." I groaned. "What-" Someone was dragging my heart down. This wasn't Xero or Xoncron's dark self, it felt like-

Vanitas

Something was wrong. Deadly wrong. I looked around. "What's up?" Xoncron said. "Something's happened to Lexa!" I turned around and ran back to the bailey. I saw her lying on her face against one of the walls, like she'd been using it for support. There were no signs of a fight. "Lexa!" I rushed forward and shook her. Her eyes were opened, but there was no inner brilliance. A small note card sat propped up next to her.

Want your girlfriend back? Come to Castle Oblivion alone. Take the girl with you.

NO ONE ELSE. Lexa is not permanently damaged. Her chains of memory have only been temporarily shattered; bring someone else with you and we'll make it permanent.

Her inner curiosity taking control as she pulled the card from Vanitas's hand. "It's like everything is being written just on a new, violent, and defiantly real level." Looking at Lexa, almost frowning at the sight, before looking at the ground her expression blank from years of learning how not to show her emotions to others. "Who could of possibly tied her memories? The only person I could think of from prior knowledge was Naminé....."

Pulling the hood over his head once more, resisting the urge to vanish into thin air to go there himself, as he turned to Vanitas noting his appearance with slight interest. "I hope you know someone IS going to follow you regardless of the note," Tightening his fist slightly the Nobody turned away from the others to think about the situation on his own.

'As much as zombie as he started with in days. Just far stronger with Oathkeeper and Oblivion.' Turning away from Roxas she glanced at the opposing halves. "He ain't joking either. I just managed to find you. That and I don't trust your cocky ass anyways. They probably wouldn't really care for a girl who only has two swords, a bipolar disorder, and no way of using ANY form of magic." Dealing with some of these people honestly reminded her of what she would do to her sister.

Gazing between the four around him, trying to decide what he wanted to say, before looking at the ground as his feet shifted uncomfortably. These kind of situations had the ending result of something terrible. Which he really didn't want to be a part of. But he had to help Lexa somehow.

"See this is why I hate the main villain. They make it impossible for anyone else to get a good grip on what the hell is possible-" the sensation of a lightbulb going off made her slightly more happy than what her mood had been just a few seconds ago. Maybe she could trick them herself. Even if she couldn't use magic the three standing around her could. At the very least she knew Roxas could preform the light based magic that would be needed. Though getting Vani to go along with it might not be easy.

Lexa

....

.....

......

Who am I?Am I shadow or light?

Drifting endlessly with words that fail to make sense.....

Best friends....love....hate....life...meaning....hope....despair....suffer.....organization....hearts....psycho...who....lights.....

Drifting endlessly in a sea of darkness......

I felt someone grab my hand. A hold of identity. I promise never let you lose yourself. The voice was so comforting....if only I could remember whose it was....

Vanitas

The more the rest of them argued, the more my anger increased. They were talking about someone named Namine, and her being a problem, I couldn't make heads or tails out of that, something about C.O. being a trap (obviously) and what was to be done. All I saw were four people going around in circles with no direction. These were supposed to be some of the people saving the world? We were in big trouble if this was it.

"Enough!" I said, walking in the midst of them. "Listen, this isn't for us, this is for her. If this happened to one of you and Lexa were here, what would she do?" Xoncron looked right at me. "She charge straight for C.O." Xoncron said. "And that's what I intend to do." I said. "You're crazy!" Ventus said. "Never denied it." I answered. "I'm not going alone. I'm never really alone." Ventus looked at me in comprehension. "You're right." Ventus said in awe. "Vanitas, you're a genius!" "What?" Xoncron said. "I have a plan...."Xero

Vanitas walked through the front doors, Lexa in his arms. "So, you decided to come." I said and walked forward. "Alright, I did what you said. Now fix her." He said. "We'll get to that later....first things first: Boss-man's dying to talk to you."

I escorted Vanitas to the thirteenth floor. "Marly, he's here." I poked my head into the room where everyone was waiting. "Good. Bring him in." I grinned from ear to ear. Oh, let the fun begin!

Vanitas

I walked in and immediately felt a rush of fury. There sat Xoncron's dark self beside Marluxia and Larxene, sitting in front of a table. "Welcome." Marluxia said. "I see you received our message." "Fix Lexa or I'll break your face, pretty boy. I did what you wanted." I said. "Doesn't anyone care for polite conversation anymore?" Marluxia sighed.

"Very well, we'll fix Lexa. You have my sincerest apologies to have made it this way, but we knew you wouldn't come any otherwise." Marluxia said. "Sit, won't you?" I shook my head. "How do you fix this?" I said. "The moment you walked in, we began to make repairs. Isn't that right, Namine?" Marluxia turned toward to a small blonde girl sitting in a corner of the room. She looked scared to death, but she nodded her head. "We've had previous problems with her, but I think we've smoothed things out." Marluxia said, still looking at her.

Lexa stirred. "She wakes." Xoncron's dark self said, looking at her hungrily. I clutched her tighter. Lexa awakened, her green eyes looking like emerald infernos. "Vanitas." "Don't move; we're in a very precarious situation." I said. She nodded.

"Thank you. I'll take my leave." I said and turned around. "Leaving so soon?" Marluxia said. Larxene laughed. "Treachery." I said. "Yep, you've been 100% duped, idiot." Larxene said.

"Or so you think." I turned back around. "I lied when I said I was alone, because, in truth-" Several of my Unversed appeared. "I'm never alone." I dodged out of the way as Xoncron's dark self came flying from behind the overturned table. I opened a dark corridor and ran out. "No, wait, Namine!" Lexa cried out. I groaned and turned back.

The occupants of Castle Oblivion were having a hard time defeating my Unversed. "Lexa, run home-don't you dare say no, just go, trust me!" I said and dropped her back in the dark corridor. "And one more thing-" She looked back as she prepared to run. "I love you more than I love me." I quickly said and ran into the fighting room. I ran through the room, dodging lighting, darkness and Marluxia's scythe. "Let's go!" I grabbed Namine's hand. I opened a second dark corridor and sprinted into it, ignoring Marluxia's cry of "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Lexa

I ran straight into Xoncron, tackling him over. "OW!" He rubbed the back of his head. "Yo." I said. "You're okay!" He said. "Can't keep me down for long, can they?" I saw Vanitas rush out of a second corridor, towing Namine."Yay, you did it-"

I saw a two dark shapes come flying after Vanitas and cut him down. Vanitas fell on his knees. Xero and Xoncron's dark self stood above him. No words were said; we immediately charged after them. Larxene appeared at Xero's side; Marluxia at Dark Xoncron.

"You really shouldn't have done that." I said. "Do what? Beat the crap out of your boyfriend or take apart your memories? Either way it was fun, wasn't it, Larxy?" Xero said. "Let's just shut up and fight so we can get this over." I said.

Taking on two sadistic rhymes-with-witches is not the easiest thing I've done. To say it easily, I was on the defense. The barrier separating me and Xoncron from helping each other didn't help. Thank God, William and Ven had managed to get Vanitas away from the fight.

"Alright, playtime's over!" I said, ready to unleash a Firaza. "Not so fast!" Larxene's kunai caught right between the connecting part of Bond of Flame, where it looked like an hourglass. The Keyblade literally split. "What?!" The three of us said as the top part appeared in my left hand. I grinned. "Oh,yeah, this is better."

I started fighting, Axel-style. There are benefits to playing and replaying Kingdom Hearts II: you learn fighting styles really quick. "Come here, I'll make it all stop!" I yelled out. The flames grew higher. "BURN, BABY!" I dodged behind the wall of flame, waiting for the right opportunities and taking them. "Surrender and I'll make this easier for you two!" I yelled out. "When Hell freezes over!" Xero yelled back.

"Afraid to touch the flames, aren't you, you little nothing?" I retorted. "Oh, that is it! Larxene, stay out of this, she's getting it! Xero dropped Binds of Darkness and leaped straight for me. Xero's face-meet my size 9! I kicked up and hit her rather solidly. She flew back in front of Larxene. "What was that about taking her on your own?" Larxene looked down and said. "God, she broke my nose!" Xero said and clutched her face.

I felt something shift behind me. "Hold still or you're as dead." I heard Xoncron's dark self say. Oh, to hell with that! I reached back and flipped him over, slamming him hard into the bailey floor. "Next time, when you mess with one of us, remember you mess with all of us. Next time, you won't live to regret it."

I walked past him to Vanitas, who had regained consciousness. "Lexa, I am so glad you and I aren't on the opposite sides." He shook his head. I laughed nervously. "Where's the dream team?" I said, looking around. Xoncron came coughing out of a cloud of smoke. "Nice job trying to suffocate me! Marluxia and his lackeys left." He said.

Vanitas looked down. "I think we need to split up." He said. "What?!" We said in unison. "We're too much of a target; it's split up or we find help." Vanitas said. "All for the second idea?" I said. All raised hands, minus Vanitas. "Alright, then. I think the number one thing we should do is go to the King, he can gives up a lot-" "Lexa, have you considered the fact the King most likely hates me?" "Ventus used to hate you." I replied. "I think the proper term for that is 'still does'." Vanitas said.

"Well, hot shot, who do you have in mind?!" I asked. Vanitas remained silent. "It was going to happen anyway, Vanitas. You're going to have to face your old problems. I know you can." I said. "....Fine. But, just for the record, I'm NOT a goody-goody, yay, happy-fun-times idiot like the rest of you Keyblade types." Vanitas said. "Hey!" Ven said.

We deemed dark corridors to be too dangerous to use, so we divided up transportation. Turns out Vanitas had a Glider as well. Go figure. William was with Ven, and Roxas and Namine went with Xoncron. And on our merry way we went. Emphasis on the sarcasm.

I rolled forward as I avoided the disc flying right at me. It hit the Program behind me and derezzed him. I jumped to my feet and swung my Keyblades at the two discs coming at me from the sides. I was surrounded by three Programs with red lighting and maniacal looks on their faces. I was wearing armor like theirs but in a blue lighting, my Keyblades of a similar design. That’s how it worked on the Grid.

I looked up to see Zuse laughing as he did a little jig. I had really hoped he had died when Clu blew up his club in Tron Legacy. Instead, he got out and made himself the new boss on the Grid. And he threw me into the Games; of course, I was here by choice – no, not really. Sephiroth needed me as a distraction and the Games served it. I was very vocal about it and thus Sephiroth’s mercies were now down to two.

Two of the Programs charged at me and started fighting again. One went for my head and the other for my feet. Luckily I had two Keyblades to help hold them off.

“Whoa!” I shouted as I bent my head back as the third Program threw his disc at me once more.

“Hahahahahaha!” Zuse laughed as he stared on.

I put all of my strength into my arms and pushed the programs away from me. I started running at the third Program and threw Lost Memory at him. His reaction time was slow and the Keyblade went right through him. As his two halves fell to the ground he was derezzing before my eyes.

At the sound of gunfire I dove to the side. Zuse was using his cane to fire at the arena, not caring who got caught in the crossfire. I started running and took out my light cycle. I dove forward and started lapping the arena. Behind me, the other two programs were following me on their light cycles, their light paths following them.

“Someone has gotta fix this place,” I mumbles as I summoned three Heartless.

They all jumped on the Program closer to me and he swerved. He was driving toward the wall and the Heartless prevented him from seeing. By the time he tore one off his face it was too late. He drove straight into the wall and was derezzed. The last Program went into speed mode and drove right by me. He then activated his light beam which was heading straight for me.

I moved to the right just as the beam passed me. “All right,” I said, “let’s see what you got.”

I activated my light beam and we started racing around the arena. The Program turned right and I proceeded to do the same; I couldn’t afford to get boxed in. We turned left, left again, and then right. We were neck and neck and heading toward the wall Zuse was atop.

“Dance little User, dance!” he shouted as he started firing again. He managed to hit my light cycle and I started to lose control. The Program sharply turned in front of me and I had to jump into the air as the light cycle was derezzed. I flew onto the Program’s light cycle and threw my arms around his neck. He started to throw his head back to hurt me but I made sure to hold strong to his neck. After a few moments he went limp and derezzed in front of me. I took hold of the light cycle and came to a stop.

“Is that all you got Zuse?!” I shouted.

“Oh no, the ride hasn’t even started yet,” Zuse grinned at me.

“Then shall I bring an end to your fun?”

A sword pierced Zuse’s chest and he gasped as he turned his head to see Sephiroth. It was amazing that Sephiroth hadn’t changed to match the world. Sephiroth pulled his sword out and Zuse fell off his platform and was derezzed before he could hit the ground.

Programs were fleeing the Games now, terrified what Sephiroth might do to them. These guys really needed someone like Tron, Anon, or Beck to lead them. Otherwise the Grid just went to Hell.

Sephiroth flew down and landed in front of me. “I trust you had fun.”

“Bite me,” I said as I stretched.

“And now you’re down to one,” Sephiroth said.

“Whatever. Did you get what you came for?” I asked.

“Indeed,” Sephiroth said as he held up an orb that shone with a white light.

“Then we had better get out of here,” I suggested.

“Yes, our deal is almost over, after all,” Sephiroth said as black feathers swarmed us and transported us to another world.

We ended up at the Keyblade Graveyard, or the remains of it. All of the Keyblades planted here were gone and there were trenches as far as the eye could see. “I guess this explains the undead army,” I commented.

“Indeed, it is a fascinating concept,” Sephiroth grinned.

“Most would disagree,” I said.

“K-killl meee….”

Sephiroth and I turned to see a lone Keyblade Master here. He was very undead and I gulped at the sight of the Ultima Weapon Keyblade in his hand. “Such a pest,” Sephiroth mumbled and swung his sword. A last of energy was fired at the Keyblade Master and then there was dist filling the area from the impact. “They’re really not that tough.”

“Maybe, but there’s usually a lot of them so they can overtake people,” I said.

“Now I must finish my business,” Sephiroth said as he held the orb up. “Please wait a moment.”

A blast of fire came out of the dust and hit Sephiroth in the back. He fell to his knees and the orb rolled away. I called out Oblivion and Lost Memory just as the Keyblade Master walked out.

“Don’t underessstimate meeee,” he moaned.

“Right,” I whispered. “You all right?”

I expected a snarly comment but Sephiroth moaned, “No. That actually hurt.”

“We are screwed,” I said as the Keyblade Master charged at us. He was faster than the others.

Our blades crossed but the impact sent me flying back. Before Sephiroth could recover the Keyblade Master swung the Ultima Weapon at his and Sephiroth was thrown into the rocky walls.

I stood up and saw the sky darkening. “Oh crud,” I said as lightning came rushing down.

I started running but the sheer strength of the lightning made the very earth shook and I was thrown into the air. The Keyblade Master jumped up and slashed me across the chest. I cried out as I fell to the ground. I took hold of the Darkness and summoned an army of Heartless. They posed no threat to the Keyblade Master. With a flick of his wrist the Heartless were destroyed.

I clutched my chest as I continue to bleed. Would I die? Or was I going to be turned?

“You should have k-killed meee,” the Keyblade Master moaned as he came up to touch me.

I looked into his dead eyes, unable to move. I knew it was over for me.

The Keyblade Master gasped and I looked up to see a bleeding Sephiroth behind him, his sword at the side of his head. The Keyblade Master’s head rolled off and his body went limp.

“Thanks,” I said as I clutched my chest harder.

“You’re dying,” Sephiroth noted.

“Yeah, that seems to be happening a lot lately,” I said.

“Then I shall use my last mercy here,” Sephiroth said.

Was he going to kill me to end the pain?

Sephiroth held up the orb and placed it on my chest. “I wonder what the results will be.”

“What?” I said as I felt the orb enter my body. Light erupted followed by a shadow and I cried out as everything went dark.

I have woken. But who am I?

I stood up and made a mirror substance appeared in front of me. I looked just like Rixec but I had Sephiroth’s hair and eye color. “My, how interesting,” I smiled.

I hummed a song in my head. Most of the others had been quite put off by our slight loss, but I preferred to think of it as an opportunity to strike when they least think of it. I watched through the glass orb. Marluxia and Larxene didn't realize how much I could do with this simple device. Vanitas and Lexa were on their way to Disney Castle. "Let's fix that, shall we?"

The brand, long forgotten by her, glowed in my vision. Time to really mess her up. I started playing my melody a loud, making her grab her head. I started singing softly, weaving and wreaking havoc.

"Baby, can’t you see

I’m callingA guy like youShould wear a warningIt’s dangerousI’m fallin’There’s no escapeI can’t waitI need a hitBaby, give me itYou’re dangerousI’m lovin’ it"

Vanitas looked behind him and stopped abruptly. I grinned. "Freak out, baby, give me energy." I murmured, getting a high off of this panic. I looked directly at Vanitas as I started singing again.

"With a taste of your lips

I’m on a rideYou're toxic I'm slipping underWith a taste of a poison paradiseI’m addicted to youDon’t you know that you’re toxicAnd I love what you doDon’t you know that you’re toxic..."

Lexa yelled in pain. "Ain't getting rid of me that easily, are you?" I said. She feebly tried to push back. I pushed harder. "What'll you do when your boyfriend is finally within my grasp?" I laughed softly.

"It’s getting late

To give you upI took a sipFrom my devil's cupSlowlyIt’s taking over meToo highCan’t come downIt’s in the airAnd it’s all aroundCan you feel me now?"

Vanitas had to hold Lexa as I really started to hit a fever pitch. "Best. Day. In. Ever." I giggled. "Oh, I should do this more often." "What're you doing?" I heard a voice. "Having fun. Go away." I said. "I think I might be able to help." I looked up. "Oh, it's you Dark-Xon. Your real name is WAY to hard to pronounce, so get over." He stood beside me. "What next....Oh, I know...." This ought to break her little heart.

"La-la-la-la-la!

Oh baby babyHave you seen Amy tonight? Is she in the bathroomIs she smokin' up outsideOh!Oh baby, babyDoes she take a piece of limeFor the drink that I'm gonna buy herDo you know just what she likesOh!

Oh! Oh!

Tell me have you seen herBecause I'm soOh!I can't get her off of my brainI just want to go to the party she gonna goCan somebody take me homeHa ha he ha ha ho!

Love me! Hate me!

Say what you want about meBut all of the boys and all of the girls arebegging to If You Seek Amy!Love me! Hate meBut can't you see what I see!All of the boys and all of the girlsare begging to If You Seek Amy!"

"What are you doing?" Dark-Xon asked. "Sending Lexa a very vivid image of me making out with her boyfriend." I said, relishing it. "Excellent." He said, watching as Lexa began really freaking her sh!t. She literally pushed away from Vanitas, causing her to fall. Vanitas dove down to catch her. I busted over, laughing. Seriously the best day ever. He caught her, Lexa still trying to break free of something unseen...to everyone else.

"La-la-la-la-la-la.

Amy told me that she's gonna meet me upI don't know where or when and now they're closing up the clubOhI've seen her once or twice before she knows my faceBut it's hard to see with all the people standing in the way.Oh!"

Lexa passed out, unable to stand the pain. "Dammit." Dark-Xon said. "Oh, I'm not done. Not even close." I said, feeling the darkness rise inside me. "I'm starting to think you are much more insane than most let on." I grinned. Oh, to subject Lexa to her inner most horrors, all in a day's work. I loved every single millisecond of it. It didn't really mattered if she heard me or not now, but I sang something to keep my mind on track.

"Got a secret

Can you keep it?Swear this one you'll saveBetter lock it in your pocketTaking this one to the graveIf I show you then I know you won't tell what I said'Cause two can keep a secret if one of them is dead."

I slowly exited Lexa's mind, the brand glowing less brightly now. Vanitas went to land, just reaching Disney Castle, freaking out over my fun.

"Sweet dreams, Vanitas. You're next."

I hummed cheerfully as I sat in a café in Radiant Garden, waiting for my cocoa. I looked over at the window and once again admired my silver hair and my green catlike eyes; it was quite the look for me, so I had also changed my outfit to accompany it. I now wore a black, sleeveless shirt, black boots, and a long black coat with only a left sleeve and a black glove on my right hand.

I twiddled with my bangs as I thought about this new form. I was no longer Rixec nor Sephiroth but a mixture of the two. Even while being made from him even I found it surprising that Sephiroth would do this for Rixec. Goes to show how well you actually know a murdering maniac. But now I was left nameless and neither Rixec nor Sephiroth felt right any longer.

I started tapping my foot as customers started getting up and leaving, some having yet to receive their orders. A waiter came by and said, “Please wait a bit longer sir, your order is almost ready.”

“One would think a cup of cocoa wouldn’t take twenty minutes,” I grinned, not a bit of malice in my voice.

“We’ve been very busy today,” the waiter replied, a bead of sweat dripping down his forehead.

I looked around the café that was empty save for me and the people working here and said, “I know one customer is an enormous amount of to serve for this place but you really should consider new management.”

“You seem very happy sir,” the waiter laughed but he wasn’t amused or angry. Afraid was more like it.

“It’s not every day I’m waiting to be surrounded,” I smiled and the waiter’s face paled up.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out a large sum of money. “For any inconveniences,” I said and walked out the door.

The moment I walked out I saw that a small army of men in black uniforms and helmets surrounded the café, each of them armed. They looked like a severe SWAT team. I looked past them to see some familiar faces to Rixec and Sephiroth: Cloud, Yuffie, and Leon. “Hey everyone!” I called out happily.

“Is that really him?” Yuffie asked.

“It must be,” Cloud said.

“My God, what has he done?” Leon noted.

“Sephiroth!” one of the uniformed cannon fodder called out. “Put your hands up or we will shoot!”

“Okay, okay,” I laughed as I put my hands up high above my head, my right fist closed. “I surrender to your regime.”

A few of the cannon fodder started moving toward me but Leon called out, “Wait! What’s in your hand Sephiroth?”

“What hand?” I smiled.

“He means your right hand that’s closed!” Yuffie yelled.

“Ohhh, this hand,” I said in amazement as I wiggled my right fist.

“Whatever it is, drop it,” Leon said.

“If you insist,” I grinned as I started opening up my hand.

I saw the realization come across Cloud’s face and he shouted, “No!”

It was too late though. When I opened my fist I unleashed a magic that sent out a sonic vibration throughout the area. Everyone started clutching their ears from the pain and the cannon fodder started dropping, unconscious, of course. Only Cloud, Leon, and Yuffie were strong enough to resist until the spell ended, though they looked worse for wear.

“Hey, he asked for it,” I said innocently.

Cloud drew his sword and charged at me. He jumped into the air and started falling right toward me. I put my hands behind my back and waited a few moments, smiling. When he was a few feet above me I lazily took a step to the side and he pierced the ground with his sword. The impact was powerful but I was unfazed by it. So this was the power of Sephiroth.

“I think you still have some leveling up to do,” I said as I backslapped Cloud across the face and sent him flying into the café.

Yuffie pulled out her shuriken and sent it flying at me and Leon started firing with his gun-blade. I nudged my head to the left as the shuriken passed me and skipped a few steps back to avoid the bullets. “Well, that was fun!” I laughed. “But I want to play too!”

I removed two double barreled guns I bought earlier and jumped high into the air. A swarm of black feathers appeared beneath me and I rode on them. Not having Sephiroth’s wing was disappointing but I was still able to manage. I started firing down on them and they tried to dodge but the power my bullets punched were able to send them flying through the air from the impact they made when they hit the ground. Yuffie was sent through a brick wall but Leon managed to recover and land on his feet.

He fired a few times at me and then charged right at me. I summoned five beads of light from my fingers on my left hand and lazily shot them to destroy Leon’s bullets. I had discovered that after the fusion the darkness in the Bringer of Light’s light was gone. It was very interesting because, despite their being no Darkness, I could still do this. I snapped my fingers and three Heartless popped out of the ground and tackled Leon to the ground. He started slashing at them but by the time he was done I was already in front of him, the barrel placed right to his head. “Sorry,” I said and then I hit him hard across the head with the gun.

“Squall!” I heard Yuffie shout and she sent two shuriken at me.

I fired at them twice and changed their direction so they would fly around me. They got stuck in the wall which then exploded, leaving a fiery background behind me. “Thanks for the special effects,” I laughed.

Before Yuffie knew I had appeared behind her and hit her in the neck with my hand. She fell to the ground, knocked out. “Two down and one to go.”

“Sephiroth!” Cloud roared as he came out of the café, covered in glass and blood.

“You really shouldn’t be calling me that,” I smiled. “I don’t want to get sued.”

“Omnislash Version 5!” Cloud shouted.

Several blades appeared in the air and suddenly I was lifted up in the middle of them. I sighed and put my guns back in their holsters and summoned my new Keyblade, One-Winged Angel. Cloud came at me with his first sword but I countered him with my Keyblade.

“What the?” Cloud said as he grabbed his second sword.

I countered that just as easily though and the sword after that and so on. Cloud was high above me now and was coming down for the last hit, roaring. I smirked and swung my Keyblade, a beam of light shooting out of it. Cloud shifted his blade to stop the attack but the force was too great and Cloud was enveloped by and explosion and started falling to the ground. I followed him but while I landed on my feet Cloud ended up on his back.

I walked up to Cloud and placed the Keyblade to his neck. “You know, Sephiroth was looking for an item so he would finally be separated from you; he believed that was how he would finally kill you.”

“Then just end me Sephiroth,” Cloud grunted, unable to move.

“Sephiroth would like that,” I said, “but I’m not him.”

I summoned Keyblade back into me and started walking away. “All the power of Sephiroth, the pure light of the Bringer of Light, and the ability to summon Heartless. Quite a power pack. And yet, it seems I got the mercy of Rixec, so while I shall defend my selves against your like Cloud I will not kill you. No, only the true evil shall feel my blade.”

“S-Sephiroth,” Cloud mumbled as he tried to stand up.

“Not Sephiroth. Not Rixec,” I said and then smiled. “Call me Sephirix.”

I walked over to my motorcycle, which was extremely similar in design to Cloud’s Fenrir but with Gatling guns in the front. “Maybe I should go pay Xoncron a visit,” I grinned as I stated driving off. A swarm of black feathers surrounded me and I drove away from Radiant Garden. I never did get that cocoa.
