Emrys 3,192 Posted October 10, 2014 this must have been what miles meant when he said Oobleacks weapon was a weapon other people thought another character used. he was referring to people thinking Ozpins weapon was his coffee. he said this in the commentary. Firaga 5,947 Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) Following up last week's great episode, we have an episode that keeps the quality up from last week. I won't separate my thoughts into good or bad, because there wasn't too much bad to speak of in this episode; its not even really bad stuff anyway, it's just me being... well, I guess nit-picky is the right word. Anyways: We start off with a scene with Glynda and Ironwood, which only proves why Ironwood is so much of a boss and why Ozpin needs to get his shit together. Then, like last week's episode, we got some more analysis and depth given to our main characters as well as some details of the past, including the official mention of Adam, the man we saw in the Black trailer with Blake, and his current goings-on with Blake. We also get what I think is the biggest wake up call that the characters have needed since... a while: they, the characters themselves, realize that they (including Ruby, who wasn't present in this dialogue, only Blake, Yang, and Weiss were, but still) are not kids and their job is to protect the world. Hopefully this as well as some of the other things they've learned on this mission with Oobleck will mean that they become more legitimate in the future, instead of us sitting and watching them do goofy shit. Anyways, another big thing that happens in this episode is that Ruby is kidnapped by the White Fang, and yes, Oobleck and the others go to save her at the end. Oobleck's explanation of the cavern that Ruby and White Fang are in can be explained in one sentence: "Some village used to live there, but now its being used by bad guys". And the reason why this "Moutnain Glenn" is so ominous as Oobleck explains, is that there's a bunch of Grimm down underground... which of course, is always a bad deal. So yeah, that's everything. Now for my bad stuff: there's only one thing and its really minor and that is that Ruby, in this episode... is just emotionless. The most noise other than straight dialouge that she makes is grunting. She didn't even let out a yell when she fell through the damn hole! Her face didn't look right when she was fighting those two White Fang members either. It looked like it was trying to be angry... but it really just didn't look right. I don't know. Like I said, its a nit-picky sort of deal, so if you don't really care for this at all, I don't blame you. This episode I give a 9/10, only shy of perfect because of how little it had in terms of content compared to last week, but still very good. TheKingdomkid 1,194 Posted October 12, 2014 Sad news people the finale of RWBY Volume 2 is gonna be released on the 30 of October but never fear for there is going to be a special event on that day as well. If you live in Austin they are holding an event at the Alamo Drafthouse where you get to watch all of RWBY Volume 2 as well as the finale and is followed up by a QA session with the cast and crew of RWBY. Wait what's that you say, you don't live in Austin well that's ok if you live anywhere close to a Alamo Drafthouse they will also stream the marathon of the show as well as the QA and other Alamo Drafthouses are in Houston TX, Kansas City MO, Denver CO, Yonkers NY, and Ashburn VA. But if you don't live anywhere near those places they will be streaming the QA session live on the rooster teeth website as well. There will be a special Twitter Hashtag you can use to submit your questions to the cast and you also have a chance to win a RWBY Volume 2 poster signed by the cast and crew. The event will start at 5 pm CT on October 30 Well I have to say this is amazing I remember they did something like this for Red Vs. Blue Season 10 but they didn't have it livestreamed for all those other drafthouses and have a QA this is amazing so I recommend if you live anywhere near those areas you should go it would be a great way to meet other Rooster Teeth and RWBY fans and enjoy yourself as well. Emrys 3,192 Posted October 15, 2014 Calling it now. Oblecks weapon is a flamethrower. I have some knowledge in guns and when I took a second look its eemed to be a flamethrower. plus it would make sense as it keeps his coffee hot. ha HA HA HAA

The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted October 17, 2014 (edited) Wow everyone, during this week I caught up on two Episodes of Volume 2 I had fallen behind on, so now I'm caught up to speed. You know, I really love how the story is developing so far. I especially love the fact that the girls are growing more mature. As each of them explained their reason for wanting to become huntresses, I was intrigued by how they expressed themselves. They were really showing their determination and their drive to succeed as huntresses. I was very impressed! And again, the deal with Adam...he's finally mentioned somewhat, but he still doesn't appear! I'm starting to have a meltdown here! I want Adam to appear already! And Emerald has far too little screen time! Come on, she deserves more time in the spotlight, at least two episodes to delve into her past! Anyhow, I'm looking forward to whatever happens next! Other key things I'd like to note. The fact that Ozpin is trying his best to keep everything under wraps so that the students at Beacon don't enter into a frenzied panic. Cinder's plans are still vague, but all we know is that they're deadly sinister. I feel that something horrible will happen to Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang, which will cause the group to be split apart for a time. I already got that partly right from Ruby falling into a hidden base of operations of the White Fang. At some point, Uncle Crowe will show up, with his badassery and epic scythe, and he'll come rescue Ruby. ADAM MUST FRICKIN APPEAR ALREADY! War is brewing in the horizon. A storm is brewing deadly... And as for today's little Episode, I actually expected it to be a Remnant documentary video. I liked the insight that was given on the Grimm, and well, it's interesting to know about their behavior and such. Now let's hope next week's Episode will be a blazingly non stop battle to the death! Also, something I just desperately need to point out! "The creatures of Grimm are lured by negative emotions..." Oh my lord, the Grimm are Rwby's version of the Unversed!!! See? Kingdom Hearts is everywhere!!! Lol, anyways, other than that, boo yeah, bring on the next Episode! Firaga 5,947 Posted October 24, 2014 (edited) Thoughts on the newest episode: ACTION ALL OVER YOUR FACE! Yes, in this episode, Team RWBY goes to save their leader in what leads to a knock down, drag 'em out brawl with the team plus Torchwick and co. riding through the underground trains as Grim chases all of them down. First off, let me get all the bad out of the way because a) I really want to take about the good this week because there was a looooot of it: the only complaint I have with this episode is... Neo. You know; ice cream umbrella chick. She is just... agh... she's one of those characters who I know I'm just gonna find myself hating for the rest of the series just because of how creepy and dainty and possibly super psychotic she is. You saw what she she did this week, she's a no-seller! And no, I'm not complaining that she's stronger than Yang... sort of... I just have the feeling she's gonna one of those uber strong opponents for the heroes who nobody can beat (except that one chick but we'll get to that later) until sometime near the end of the series, all the while she'll just be smiling away and kicking the snot out of people for the time being. She reminds me way too much of Nui Harime from Kill La KIll too, another cute looking pyschopath who used an umbrella who nobody could beat 'til the end of the series. So yeah, f*ck Neo and f*ck her for fodderizing Yang. But, don't worry, this isn't really a criticism towards the show, I just don't like this character. I doubt she's going to mean anything other than a lap dog for Tochwick anyway. Moving on now! Now, for the rest of the episode: ACTIOOOOOOON! This episode started off slow, with the rescuing of Ruby, but as soon as everybody got on the train, shit hit the fan! It was nothing but quick paced adrenaline and ass kicking from then on out: Team RWBY nailed some fodder, Oobleck and Zwei teamed up for what I call the new definition of doggy style, Yang went one on one with Neo (who fodderized her, as I mentioned -_-) but got her neck saved by some mystery girl in red and black, Weiss fought a giant super hyper fodder with a chainsaw, and Blake and Torchwick had a little going-at-it as well (which some taunting from Torchwick of course. That guy always has something to say, don't he? ) before Blake straight up knocks him out. Then Weiss and hyper fodder crash the party and... I guess they got away. Huh. Maybe Yang came in and they all kicked his ass? Hmm. But anyways: everybody gets off the train and realizes that they're about to hit a wall. Weiss uses her Dust to form an ice barrier around the team as they crash, landing them in the middle of Vale. They then discover, to their horror, that the Grim from earlier have been released and are now swarming the entire kingdom... and of course, they end with a cliffhanger. Oh my stars and garters. I guess its time for the girls to suit up and get ready for a real fight. This week's episode gets a 10/10. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted October 24, 2014 Yeah. My reaction for the last thirty seconds of the episode was basically: OH GOD. THERE ARE SO MANY. SO MANY. TOO MANY. TOO MANY. TOO MANY OF THEM. Over and over again.
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted October 24, 2014 Oh my God, today's Episode was beyond insane! Oogleck finally showed what he's capable of, and he showed off his skills with ultimate badassery! Lol, I panicked when he batted the doggy though, I was like: "OH GOD, HE SET THE DOG ON FIRE!" But once I saw the dog was alright, I was like: "Ooh, okay, so it was his flaming dog attack!" Lol. I really loved the combat in this Episode, it was just amazing! Weiss had such excellent fencing skills, and I loved that Time Splicer-esque attack she did before the White Fang guy grabbed her. Also, Umbrella Girl is pretty damn skilled. Yang almost didn't even touch her! And as for Blake, I frickin loved how she fought in this Episode! Lol, every time she left behind a decoy, her shadow one reminded me of Noob Saibot, and her ice one reminded me of Sub-Zero when he leaves his ice clone. Overall, Blake fought like the badass she is! And yes Emerald, I share your sentiment in the fact that I was about to fanboy, thinking that the masked warrior was Adam, but sadly, it was not. But still, Umbrella Girl panicked the moment she saw the mystery woman, so she must be one formidable fighter! When I saw her sword sheath cycling through the red color, I kind thought that was Winter Schnee, you know, because Weiss' weapon also has that same roulette style color changing thing. Anyways, you all may be right, this may be Yang's mother after all! Anyways, in short, this Episode proved that the girls need to step up their game! And damn it, Ruby's death glare cliffhanger left me on the edge of my seat! The next episode, all hell will run loose with the Grimm attacking the city! God, I need another Episode now!
