Hajime Tabata Comments on FF Type-0 Localization

Hey, remember when Square announced that FF Type-0 would be localized back in 2011? Well, Square-Enix's Hajime Tabata has a comment concerning the localization of the game.

 

Final Fantasy Type-0 scenario director, Hajime Tabata, says Square Enix "feels strongly" about bring the game to North America and Europe. Speaking with GameSpot, Tabata stated: "Due to market reasons, we are taking a clean slate in terms of our plans. We feel strongly about bringing this title to the fans of North America and Europe, so if an opportunity arises that can become a conclusive factor, we are prepared to go into consideration right away."

 

Back in 2011, the Final Fantasy Ultimania book mentioned that Square were already working on a western localization for the game. Going by Tabata's more recent statement, release plans may have changed since then. But this at least gives us some hope that not hope is all lost for the English version of FF Type-0.

 

What are your thoughts about this? Would you like to finally see a localization of FF Type-0 happen?

It would be nice to see Type-0 finally coming here, but I really don't have big urge to play it. I wouldn't mind if they would make it compatitle with Vita on same time...

Reason is that my hands seems to be too big for my PSP :c

I feel you man. I have the tiniest wrists but my hands are huge. :c

 

In response to topic. I'm fairly excited. The gameplay for Type 0 looks to be something different in an awesome way so the sooner we get it here the better.
