I would sooner have Rydia than Edge, personally, and I don't think Zemus would work, if only for the reason why Cloud of Darkness always felt out of place: they really don't have a ton of personality, mainly because they had no screen time or direct involvement in the story enough to create relations with the protaganists.

Personally I love to see a customisable character for both FFI and FFXI, since they both have ambiguous main characters. Also get it off the PSP and give it to me on the PS3. It would also evolve the game franchise to the level of the later Soul Calibur series and potential become a real contender in fighter genre.

 

If I were to add people it would be:

 

FFI - Customisable character, potentially Princess Sarah

 

FFII - Richard and maybe Minwu

 

FFIII - Desch

 

FFIV - Rydia, Edward, or Edge. I'd be happy either of those.

 

FFV - FARIS!!!!! Galluf would be awesome, too.

 

FFVI - Too many to pick from! Edgar needs more love, as does Cyan and Setzer. I'd love to see Celes, too. Relm would be adorable!

 

FFVII - Reno, Zack, Rufus, or RedXIII

 

FFVIII - Seifer is a must. I'd also love to see Edea as a bad guy. As much as I love FFVIII I wouldn't really want many others there to play as. Maybe Seplhie, but probably not.

 

FFIX - Beatrix would be B.A. Vivi would also be a shoe in. But I'd LOVE to get some Freya action in there. Sure she kinda fills the same role as Kain but I don't care!

 

FFX - Lulu would be great to add more mages. Seymour would be a great addition to the villians. Auron would be okay I suppose.

 

FFXI - SHADOW LORD FOR CHRISTS SAKE! He's the main bad guy for MOST of the game! I would also love to see Prince Trion in there, that sexy San D'Orian of a man. Cid from Norg would be great, he's so funny. But mostly I'd love to play as Lilisette, from the Wings of the goddess missions. Dancers are so fun! I loved mine.

 

FFXII - I'M CAPTAIN BASCH FON ROSENBURG OF DALMASCA. Ashe, Vayne, and Balthier would be good, too.

 

FFXIII - Sahz, because I like him unlike the rest of the FXIII cast. (Sorry Snow)

 

FFXIV - Another customisable character. I don't know many of the NPCs at the moment. So that's all I got.

 

Off shoots: I really don't want to see any KH characters in Dissidia, I want to keep it Final Fantasy only. I suppose that selfish, but I don't care. From non majour

FF titles I'd love to see cameos from:

 

Tactics WotL: Ramza and Delita would be amazing to have.

Tactics Advanced: Montblanc. I know teeechnically he's in FFXII but as a cameo. I think he'd be great as a mage adition, plus he's a moogle!

Tactics Advanced 2: Fremilda the knight was pretty bad ass and I really do love Adelle. Ewen would be a pretty good bad guy, too.

 

I'm tempted to say Crystal Chronicle characters, but with most of the games having you customise your characters, and with me already wanting customisabled characters for FFI, FFXI, and FFXIV I'd find the game starting to get convaluted a bit.

I like Kirux's customization idea, so I'm going to run with it

 

FF1-

A new warrior of light, with a gimmick where they can change classes, in a way somewhere between how Onion Knight during EX mode, and Lightning

Basically, a really versatile character, possibly using the four main classes, with the upgrades used for the EX mode?

 

FF4-

I personally think it could benefit from a new stage or something, perhaps the Tower of BabilGiant? Other than that, maybe Rosa? We don't have an archer character yet

 

FF5-

Very torn between Galuf and Faris. Also find it kind of unfair not to include Lenna if Faris is involved...

 

FF6-

Edgar or Relm would make interesting new character types, or Shadow as a full-time Ninja perhaps?

 

FF7-

Red XIII maybe? That would be unique. But let's face it, it's all fanservice with this game. We're getting Vincent, or a villain from one if the spin offs

 

FF8-

Seifer, obviously. Edea is interesting though

 

FF9-

VIVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.

 

FF10-

Seymour. Kind of stupid he wasn't added already, really.

 

FF11-

A generic character, whose abilities and appearance is determined by what you have equipped

 

FF12-

Vayne

 

FF13-

Snow, I guess. I'd say a villain, but they don't really have a very cohesive villain to follow. Bathandelus might work...? Anyways, I'd say Caius and Noel are pretty likely

 

Besides that, get Ramza in there, and just start representing the non-numbered titles in general. I'd like to see assist-only characters, like Aerith, and perhaps even non-combatant characters that serve as NPCs

- KH DLC like Axel, Riku and Sora

- A chance to add your FF XIV Relm Reborn character to the fight by a PC + Vita type connection.
