Kingdom Hearts 3

Recommended Posts

I'm putting this in Random, because it has more to do with me than Kingdom Hearts 3. Also there's more than enough posts like this out there clogging up actual important posts. So here's an in depth description of what I want out of KH 3 *Nomura-sama please read this)

The game starts out in the Mysterious Tower. Assembled are Sora, Riku, Kairi, Lea, Mickey, Donald, & Goofy. They are going to be split up into groups. Sora and Lea are going to Castle Oblivion, to make sure no enemies remain, and get any information they can, as they have the most experience with Castle Oblivion's main floors. Mickey and Riku are going to the Realm of Darkness, to find Aqua and bring her to Castle Olivion, as they have the most experience in the Realm of Darkness. Kairi is going with Donald and Goofy to inform Disney Castle about what is going on, and give warning to the Princesses of Heart in particular, and the worlds in general, because this danger is so great Yen Sid has decided all the worlds must be warned. Their first stop after Disney Castle is Radiant Garden, hoping they can get some help. Meanwhile Kairi will continue her training.

At this point you begin game play as Sora, the only character you play as during the plot. Sora apologizes for taking Axel's friend away from him, and Lea just blows it off, saying it's not his fault, he was asleep. He and Lea team up,and clear out the Heartless and lesser Nobodies. Riku and King Mickey arrive with Aqua, and Ansem the Wise, who still cannot remember who he is. Aqua joins with Riku and Sora to dive into Ventus' sleep, and return his heart, restoring Roxas and Xion at the same time. Roxas' first reaction is to start attacking Ansem, and has to be restrained as Ansem, still without memories struggles to understand why he would have done such things. Aqua refuses to turn CO back into Land of Departure until Xehanort is defeated, for fear that he may use it for ill. After a touching reunion with Xion, who is now remembered, they all head back to Mysterious Tower, to inform him they have easily completed the task. But the world is gone, not swallowed by darkness, but destroyed, (like Alderaan) with no sign of Yen Sid.

Unable to process what has happened they head to Hollow Bastion, hoping they may find some help in finding Yen Sid. Upon arriving they find that Donald, Goofy, & Kairi never arrived. And worse still, the Unversed have returned. They decide to split up, each one going to warn another princess, and with their permission, bring them to Radiant Garden to more easily protect them. Meanwhile Merlin will see if he can contact Yen Sid through his arcane magiks.

Sora goes to [any random Princess of Heart World from BBS] and discovers he has arrived too late; the castle has been laid to waste. He returns to Radiant Garden to find only two princesses have been saved, Belle and Jasmine, due to being protected by Beast and Genie respectively. Xehanort already has 4 pure lights, 5 if he’s the reason Kairi’s missing. Also Leon & co. have found Zexion & Aeleus, who Riku and Lea apologize for leading to their destruction in Castle Oblivion. They admit they were being rather horrible, and offer to help guard the princesses. With 2 wielders staying behind to help, everyone else scatters, looking for clues as to where Xehanort may be, while fighting Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed. This should include some all-new worlds, but it’s not necessary. You only play as Sora, but going from world to world you bump into the others occasionally. They share information with you, and upgrade a D-Link like system you have each time you meet up. After you visit several worlds you are summoned to Radiant Garden by Merlin, who has used the clues and his arcane magiks to locate Yen Sid and the Princesses of Heart. They are in Virtual Twilight Town. Everyone heads over, and we have our first fight with the Norts. The only Princess they rescue is Kairi, who had kept the New Organization from discovering she could wield a Keyblade. Even Yen Sid is lost.

Aqua now takes Kairi and Xion to Merlin, where she can train them in compressed time. Unfortunately while they are gone Luxord(Xehanort) and Xigbar(Xehanort) attack, and with their combined manipulation of time and space kidnap Belle and Jasmine, but Sora pursues them, and sends a message saying they’re in The World That Never Was. The Keyblade wielders pursue, and split up into three groups, Ventus & Aqua, Lea & Xion, and Riku & Kairi. Vanitas appears, and masquerades as Sora corrupted by darkness for Lea,Xion, Riku, & Kairi. He fights Riku and Kairi, and stabs her releasing her heart. Fortunately all that happens is Namine is recreated, but Riku gets enraged and brings Vanitas to the very brink of death. Before Namine rejoins Kairi, Riku informs her about Ansem, who she agrees to help restore the memories of. They head back to Hollow Bastion, where Namine begins to help Ansem. Unsure of what to do next, they all spread across Radiant Garden, to ensure no more enemies remain, and to practice some more. Here Vanitas confronts Ventus, and attempts to rejoin with him, desperate to form the X-Blade. He fails, and Ventus’ heart is whole once more. The reintegration gave Ventus Vanitas’ memories, which means he now knows where Xehanort is waiting for them. They depart, confident that they can win, because with Xehanort’s loss of Vanitas and absence of Kairi he only has 12 Darknesses and 6 Lights. They discover he has split Yen Sid’s heart, in much the same way as he did Ventus’, creating a new Darkness and Light. He has to combine them in combat in order to form the X-Blade, and so a Keyblade War begins. The various Xehanort incarnations fall, but the X-Blade is forged. Everyone unites to combat Xehanort, preventing him from attaining Kingdom Hearts. They all fall, Aqua, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Lea, Xion, but Sora finally disarms Master Xehanort, and has the ability to unlock Kingdom Hearts, and remake the world as he sees fit. He uses his power to strike down Xehanort during that final battle, preventing the X-Blade from being forged, and removing the Nort influence from everybody, and prevent his friends from dying. Xehanort is finished.

Terra (newly free from Xehanort) Ventus and Aqua return to Castle Oblivion, to return itto the Lnd of Departure so that all new Keyblade wielders may train there, Roxas, Xion, and Lea go to visit other worlds on their ‘summer break’, Mickey returns with Donald and Goofy to Disney Castle. And Namine joins Riku, Kairi, and Sora on Destiny Islands. Everyone gets there happy ending.

Except for one person. One individual who would have had Sora destroy darkness while given his powers. And one person who will obliterate the darkness, and destroy the Nobdies/Somebodies that destroyed his world. Blinded by light, he (or she) shall seek vengeance. And so begins Kingdom Hearts IV.

That’s the plot, just a few other things to say:

  • There’s an additional feature, when you encounter other wielders while wandering, and your journal is updated with their adventures, you get an additional option, to fight their battles (only boss battles) And upon completion of the game you can fight the Keyblade War multiplayer, with up to 20 people, each one playing a different character.
  • Sora apologizes to each Nobody he killed. It doen’tmatter who, or if he’s going to have to fight them again, he apologizes.
  • Somehow we see what was going on in the Xehanort camp while all this was going on, specifically Vanitas. He came into being, and for all of his life he was told that he ust join with Ventus and forge the Keyblade War. When he came back when Ventus woke up and discovered that he was no longer necessary for that goal, he was merely another Darkness, he slowly decided to attempt to join Ventus and make the X-Blade and make Xehanort need him again.

This doesn't have to be, and in fact shouldn't be, exactly what happens. This is just a layout of what I want, having never written a story of this scope, and never designed a video game. But thoughts and critiques are appreciated.

Well I can only think of two ways, one is that we prevent Xehanort's fall into darkness, which pretty much annihilates the plot of every KH game, and eliminates Sora as a main character for subsequent games.

The other is that we lock him up, seal him away, and hope really hard that he doesn't escape. Which he will, meaning this can't be the end of the Xehanort saga.

Actually another idea occurs to me, Namine could seal away his darkness, like she offered to do for Riku. That would work.

I actually think the more they put off ending the Xehanort saga the better. I think he's an excellent villain and I don't see how they plan on replacing him.

He is an excellent villain, but we've beenfighting him for the past decade. If it keeps up he won't remain a good villain. He needs to go out soon, because he's going to look dumb if he doesn't continue his plan, and if he does and he's stopped, anything else will just seem silly. He's threatened all of reality, anything else is a step-down for him.

Yeah I know, but he's just so deeply weaved into the plot that I cant help but want more. We've technically been fighting Xehanort for 10 years, but Ansem, Xemnas, Master Xehanort, Young Xehanort, and Terra-Xehanort and certainly not all the same. Each is fairly distinct and they all make for good villains, especially when it hits you that all of these different people constantly getting in your way are because of the events set in motion by one, single, very evil man.

They are each independent autonomous individuals, but they're are only three ways this confrontation can go, Xehanort wins, Xehanort loses, or it's postponed. We've already had it postponed. Doing it again will reek of desperation to keep making money. I just think of it as no matter what, Xehanort will have started everything that happens next. We'll still have heartless, and if we have an antagonist of light it'll probably be because of Xehanort. Even if he's not alive we'll have to deal with the aftershocks of what he's done. He's led to the creation of 6 keyblde wielders, the proliferation and power of Heartless, most Nobodies, Maleficent's knowledge of the outside world, a break in the knowledge of Keyblades after the death of Eraqus, and that's just from the start of BBS to whenever Apprentice Xehanort split in two. Who knows what he did as a younger man. Xehanort will be the villain others aspire to, almost immortal, and seemingly a genius because he knows more and adapts his plans so easily. Future villains may threaten the balance of light and dark, but only Xehanort will have the knowledge to threaten the very existence of both.

There's the small fact that we got the Time Traveling Young Nort who could possibly screw ever ending the Xehanort Saga. I mean he might of had to do things repeatedly which means there are different ways this could be um continued such as yet another little bastard of villain popping up with the whole 'I'm gonna do this blah, blah, blah, and you can't stop me no matter what the hell sorta conversational and end of such speeches. I've thought of at least a few different ways this could continue thanks to Xehanort. Then again I've thought of five different way we could Xehanort flipping ass good just to make things weird.
