Is this supposed to be...Sephiroth?

Recommended Posts

More than likely just homage to him. I cannot give any examples, but others have held swords like that before in JRPGs. Game looks kinda B.A, though. What game is it?

I believe it's Called tales of Xillia 2. A sequal to the first tales of Xillia.

But he has a different appearance. Sephiroth has a black trench coat, silver pauldrons, black gloves, pants, & over-the-knee black boots. & Sliver butt-length hair. That guy has a tuxedo & a black bowlcut. Only their fighting style & weapon are similar. Their appearances are not, tough.

It's not really the same at all. they have a somewhat similar style, but that's simply because they both draw on typical Japanese style move involving a katana

Somehow, i knew you would say something like that ;P. Also, how long do you plan on being bayluast's clone? Edited by Tails

Sepiroth doesn't usually hold his sword like that. He usually has it down by his side with one arm crossed over and holding the hilt.

Yes he does, play FF7 when he is in your party he holds it like that. Keep in mind Sephiroth is not from KH, but from FF7, you should base this off of that version of him, not his KH version.

Back to the main topic, you're looking at this way to closely. They don't even really use the weapon the same. Sephiroth uses extremely quick strokes and doesn't do the weird AoE sword strike. I don't even believe he uses magic as part of any combo I've seen him do. They may hold similar weapons with similar stances, but that's where they end, lad.

I think the main similarity is that he is clearly compensating for something like Sephiroth is.

I could not have said it better.

ha. sorry that's how he holds it in KH in FFVII yes he holds it close to the head. very rarely to the side in less he is flying/gliding

Hyperion is right.

also in KH Sephiroth is Cloud's darkness that is why he has blue eyes and not green.

Sephy doesn't really hold his katana like that and I really can't see any "sephy clone" in there. That guy looks pretty generic katana wearing hero though

Yeah I played FFVII it was just a long time ago, i couldn't remember how he held it but I know he holds it the same in FF VII Crisis Core as in KH.

Nevermind sorry I officially know nothing.
