Tom 437 Posted November 30, 2010 Next chapter should be up within today to a couple of days. It entirely depends on how much time I'll have. But Thanksgiving is Thursday so I have no idea if it will be bumped to a week Yeah, I hope everyone is excited for TLS series. I decided on this after realizing how popular it got (I honestly didn't think it would be THAT popular ). It's has the second highest replies for a story, The 'To Do' List beats this by 10, or should I say 9 when I post this. I'm hoping I can beat the score. Not for bragging or trying to be the very best, I just want to get the highest to set the standards > I am still planning out a possible sequal, so don't get too excited. Plus, I'll be working on an Avatar fanfic (yes, the Last Airbender one) and it will be finished before any sequal come up. Be sure to read that one. Tom, have I ever told you how much I love you? Your stories are my favorite next to The To Do list. (: I cannot wait for that Avatar fanfic! And I'm glad your making a TLS series. I love you too. Tom 437 Posted December 1, 2010 Chapter 17 - Him... The Darkversed took the offensive first. He rose his arm, darkness glowing around his hand, and prepared to hit the gang. As soon as he managed to reach the gang, Vincent shot a Blizzard bullet into the arm, causing it to freeze up. Kevin and Max then jumped up onto the arm, running up to the head. Max jumped up to the head, pounding him with a shield, then pressed his feet off of the head, making him fly away. As the Darkversed was distracted, Kevin charged his Keyblade with bright light and slammed it in the monster's face. The Darkversed took the hit very hard and fell back, crashing into the ocean. The whole world rumbled. Kevin and Max landed on the shakey ground, with Vincent running to them. Max wondered, "Did we beat already?" The Darkversed didn't move for a few moments, but then got up. It began to start transforming again. This time, it's fingers grew into claws, shredded wings grew out of the back, and a mouth appeared on his face, roaring really loud at the gang. "We didn't beat it. It's just got very pissed." The Darkversed rose his arm and striked really fast at the ground. Luckly, the gang dodged it. "It even got faster!" Kevin proclaimed. He then said, "Alright, here's the plan. Max, attack the arms. Vincent, shoot for the head. I'll try to get in it and attack from the inside. Let's do this!" Kevin ran around the Darkversed, while Vincent and Max kept it distracted in the front. Kevin casted a Reflect spell on him, to protect him from the darkness. Then he jumped in the air and slashed it's back, cutting a long hole. Kevin took one deep dive into it, and the wound closed up. "Oh great. I can't see anything," said Kevin as he floated around in the Darkversed, blinded by the darkness. He may looked tough on the outside, but on the inside, the dark was making him scared. As he maneuvered around the darkness, the area was getting bright. He noticed this and decided to head on further. As the area got brighter and brighter, something made Kevin uneasy. What could possibly be in this beast? Kevin knew the answer when he got to the brightest part. Kevin squinted his eyes to figure it out what is, and then it came to him. It was a heart. He didn't think this thing would have a heart. Perhaps this be the heart of darkness used to create the X-Blade? But Kevin didn't have time to ask questions. He reached his hand over the heart but then pulled back. He started to hear voices of familar people and people he never heard of. It was hurting his head so much. Finally, one last saying came out, in a demonic voice. It said, "I...hate you." Then the darkness started to move, pushing Kevin around. A hole appeared out of the inside and the darkness pushed him into it, bringing Kevin into the outside world again. A young woman ran out of her house and to the docks of the island. Looking across the ocean, she can see a monster attacking the other island. She couldn't quite see it, so she looked around, and found a binocular. She looked across the island with it, seeing what's really going on. She saw two people fighting it, while another person appeared out of it. The monster push the two people away and grabbed the man. As he pulled him up, she wanted to get a better look of him. Zooming on him, the woman saw the man struggling to get out of the hand. But the funny thing is, he looked familar.... Memories flooded into her mind. Childhood memories of a boy playing, smiling, and having fun. It hit her. "It's...K...Kev...Kevin!" She was smiling. He was back! She couldn't believe it. Fighting monsters though, she wondered. But she stopped smiling when that monster dragged Kevin into the ground and threw him to the deck, where they used to play at. "Kevin!" she cried. The woman jumped on the nearest boat, unhooked it from the deck, and began paddling it to the island, in hopes to help Kevin. Meanwhile, Kevin was thrown right into place where he had sleepovers with his friends. Crashing through the wood and rolling and rolling until he stopped. He got up, all banged up, and went to go back and fight the Darkversed. He began walking towards the latter but stopped when he noticed a man in a black coak. He was sitting and watching the battle. Kevin looked at him for a good five seconds and remembered who it was. The man who took Ryusei's body. He grew angry. "HEY YOU!" he yelled. The man looked at him, and got up. Starring at him for a few seconds, then he jumped down to escape. Kevin ran after him. But he looked to his left and yelled out to Max and Vincent as loud as he could get, "I GOT TO DO SOMETHING, TAKE CARE OF THAT THING!" The duo looked and nodded, continuing to fight the Darkversed. The man ran all the way around the island, with Kevin chasing after him. He knew this wasn't going to last. He opened a white portal and tried to run it in. Kevin couldn't allow this. In a final attempt to stop him, he summonded his Keybade and tilted it. Before the man got a chance to run it, keychains appeared in the sky, and the portal closed immediantly. It was a force field. Nothing gets in, nothing gets out. The man stopped and turned around, to face his opponent. Kevin looked at him with rage. Getting in a battle position already, he cried, "Give me back my friend!!!" The man did not say anything and just looked at him. Realizing that there was no way out of this, he summonded a Keyblade and went into a battle position. Kevin saw the Keyblade and grunted. But this didn't stop him. He charged at the man.

Tom 437 Posted December 2, 2010 Chapter 18 - It Can't Be... Kevin hurled his Keyblade right at the man, but the man dodged by teleporting behind him. He tried to strike, but Kevin managed to pull his Keyblade back to block it, then rolled away. The man was too clever though. He cast Stop, which froze Kevin, rending him to an assult. The man walked up him, and frowned for some reason. Shaking his head, he punched Kevin point blank in the face and backed away. When Stop wore off, time resumed and Kevin felt pain in this face. "OWWW, you punched me in the nose!" said Kevin as blood dripped from his nostrial. Kevin, not taking this very serious, was caught off guard and the man went in for another strike. Kevin noticed him, so he casted Thunder against him. The man slightly dodged, but the lightning shot him in arm. The man backed off, and clutched his arm. But he himself left his guard down by doing this, as Kevin tried to attack. The man looked up and held his Keyblade and deflected his, causing a major rift between them. The man had just about enough of this. With all his strength, he grabbed Kevin's Keyblade and threw it away, and then slashed at him. Kevin fell to his knees, holding his chest as the wound dripped blood into the sand. The man looked down on him, shaking his head more. It was like he didn't want to do this. The man sighed and rose his Keyblade, aiming at him. Kevin starred at him, remembering the scene where Xehanort rose his Keyblade to stab him. Holding up his arms for protection, he prayed in his head for life, not death. The man's arm striked at Kevin. But not his Keyblade. The man's Keyblade mysteriously vanished. Looking left and right to figure out what happened to his Keyblade, Kevin's hand glowed and the man's Keyblade appeared in his hand. He looked at it in surpised, but then gripped it hard. The man didn't see the Keyblade until Kevin used the butt of it to whack him in the face. The man backed away many steps, holding his head. Kevin smiled in victory, claiming, "Payback. Now that you don't have a Keyblade, I guess you're going to have to surrender," as he summonded his other Keyblade. The man tilted his head, but looked up and suddenly, purple blades appear out of his forehand. Kevin smirked and said, "I didn't think you were full of surpises." He then charged at him with both of the Keyblades. The man blocked both of them and smashed Kevin's head with his own head. Kevin walked backwards, all dizzy. When he stopped, he grew very angry and decided to use full force. He decreased in speed, but increased in strength. The man grew weaker with every block. It was then that the man lost, as Kevin destroyed both of the blades with his Keyblades, and kneed the man in the gut. The man stood on his knees and watch as he saw hatred in Kevin's eyes. He held both the Keyblades up to his neck, making it look like scissors. If he closed them both, it would surely be the end for him. Kevin knelt down and went up in his face, finally asking, "I ask you this one last time...WHERE IS MY FRIEND?!?" "Kevin?" Kevin turned around to see a woman right there. He was a young person, around Kevin's age, had brown hair, blue eyes, and a perfect body. After seeing him, she looked worried. Kevin couldn't figure out how she got passed the force field. "How did you get passed the force field?" Kevin lowered his Keyblades. The woman was familar, but he couldn't put his finger on it. "Who are you?" asked Kevin. However it was too late for answers. The man kicked Kevin away, and the force field then disappeared. He opened a new white portal and attempted to escape. Kevin wasn't going to let him go without an answer. He ran after the man and tackled him right through the portal, and it closed. The woman streched her hand out, crying, "Kevin!" The portal led the two outside of the Destiny Islands, into the Lanes Between. Kevin probaby messed up the navagation for the man. But it was a bad spot to be, as Kevin was left unprotective from any darkness, no Keyblade Armor for survival. He had no choice but to end this fight. After throwing a few punches, Kevin summonded his own Keyblade and striked at him. The man summonded his purple blades, but not enough time to block it. The Keyblade striked where his heart was and... Nothing happened. Kevin starred at him, and the man starred at his Keyblade. Kevin shook his head to get himself out of confusion and striked again. Still, nothing. Why didn't a heart release? Kevin repeated this few more times, but his expression changed. His eyes grew in horror. This man was not ordinary. He wasn't even human... He was... He was... ...A Nobody. The man then began to giggle. "Heh...hehehehe...hahahahaha...HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" But Kevin was in no mood for his shenanigans. Light appeared from the tip of his Keyblade and fired a small beam, it pierced where his heart should of been. The man gasped in pain, grunting. When the light disappeared, the man started to fade away. It was silent. "....BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" The man continued to horrorifically laugh again, breaking the silence. But his hood fell off and his face was revealed. His face, however shocked Kevin in so many different ways. He was speechless, as he couldn't believe who it was. It was his twin brother, Kyle. Kyle laughed more and more, even noticing his hood off. Even though Kevin couldn't say anything, he wanted to scream his brother's name. He wasn't sure to be happy or disturbed. But the man idenitified as Kyle was soon gone, as he faded away. Kevin was alone. And he was alone again. The darkness soon reached Kevin's heart. Kevin shook with pain, and finally fainted. But seeing, fighting, and witnessing his brother was mostly why he fainted. Death would now await him. He turned out to be lucky, as someone on a mechnical ride appeared, grabbing Kevin's body and flying toward Destiny Islands. Meanwhile, Max and Vincent had trouble fighting the Darkversed. They grew tired as the thing grew faster. They couldn't take it down. That's when an armored man flew towards the scene of the battle. He flew right into it, going through it, and the out of it, creatig a gaping hole for it, but it healed really quickly. The man landed on he beached and slowly put Kevin on the sand. His ride the turned into a weapon similar to Kevin's. A Keyblade. He looked a the other two and said, "I got this thing. You two fellas go help him." Even though the two didn't know him, they obeyed. The man walked up to the beast and stood there, waiting for it to attack. When the Darkversed understood his signal, he opened his hands, revealing the claws. It then drove right to the armored man, thinking it might pierce him. But this person was strong, too strong. He grabbed one of the claws and then sliced its entire hand off with his Keyblade. The Darkversed backed up from him, holding its missing hand. The armored man then aimed his Keyblade and light appeared at the tip of the Keyblade. It was the same thing Kevin, but what he was going to fire was not a tint beam. Istead, it was a giant blast of light that was bigger than the Darkversed, swallowing it whole. When it was done, the thing was gone. The world was saved. Then he crowded around Kevin, who looked quite dead. But they stopped looking at him when they heard footsteps. It was the same woman from before. She ran to them and knelt to Kevin. All of them looked at him, hoping he would wake up. Alas, he did. Opening his eyes, he saw the four looking at him. Sitting up, he joked around and said, "Am I dead or is this my birthday?" Everyone facepalmed, except for the woman, who proceeded to hug Kevin. "It's great to see you Kevin." Kevin didn't smile but closed his arms around her. "Naomi, right?" The woman nodded and said, "So you do remember?" Kevin nodded, but he only rememred after seeing the unbelievable. Naomi got up, grabbing his hand. Kevin brushed off his hands and nodded to Max and Vincent, who both did the same. He then turned around to the amored man. "I don't know you though...but with that Keyblade Armor, you're somebody at the castle, huh?" However, the armored man shook his head and said, "Nope. But I've known you for 19 years..." Kevin gave him a strange look. The armored man removed his helmet and dropped it on the ground. He strangely looked like Kevin, but older. "Dad!?!" proclaimed Kevin. A man suddenly appeared in a mysterious dark room. He gasped for air, trying to figure what happened to him. Another man stood there. Looks like it worked just as planned. "..." Your Nobody and Heartless was taken care of. "...I see." Now, we must dicuss the plans about the X-Blade...

Tom 437 Posted December 20, 2010 Chapter 19 - Home Sweet Home The next morning... "Ow ow careful OWWW!" yelled Kevin. Naomi was putting the last batch of bandages over his gapping cut over his that he earned from his battle with "Kyle". Naomi brushed her hands together and said, "Ok, you're all set, you crybaby." Kevin rubbed his head and said, "Hey, I'm home aren't I? So give me a break Naomi!" However, when Naomi wasn't looking, Kevin turned sad. Home. The same place where his brother died, but also where they fought. He couldn't believe it. Kyle was the one who caused all these problems on the world. He was also the one who captured Ryusei's body. Kevin hugged his knees and whispered, "I guess Kyle is evil, and Ryusei is gone forever..." Naomi heard him and turned around, asking, "Kevin, are you ok?" Naomi looked worried for him. Kevin got up, put on his shirt, and walked to the door. He turned around, and said, "I am ok. I'm just going to talk to my dad." Kevin put up a fake smile, and walked off, but she knew that something was bothering him. The morning sun gave off a beautiful tone of color for the orange sky. Kevin's dad stood at the village's beach, where there layed two tombstones. Kevin saw him and walked over to him, standing next to his dad. He saw one othe tombstones, which was labed as "Kyle". His face grew sore as he knew it wasn't true. But he looked over to the next tombstone and saw the name "Amber". That was the name of his mother. "Amber? That's Mom's name! What happen to her?" His dad sighed and put his hand on Kevin's shoulder. "When your brother died, she grew into depression that you didn't understand at the time. And when you left to go to the Castle of Sora for Keyblade training, she became unstabled. Going from acting unusual to insane. I was at another world at that time, and by the time I heard the news and came back...she didn't make it. I didn't want to tell you this until you were old enough, and now you are", Kevin's dad told. Kevin had no idea this happened and grew more sad. This year is definitly not his favorite. The two stood there for quite a while, but Kevin was going nuts over Kyle's living existance. He wanted to tell him, but the words wouldn't come out. Staring at Kyle's tombstone made him want to scream. It was then that was pressure was too much. "Dad...Kyle's alive," said Kevin. He looked at him strange and shook his head. "What are you talking about? Kyle has been dead for ten years," proclaimed Kevin's dad. That's when Kevin exploded. "You know nothing....NOTHING! You weren't there when Kyle died or when Mom died. You were off on your stupid missions while I suffered!!! I saw Kyle...I saw a Nobody. I saw his face, his evil laughter...you weren't there for it either! That Heartless is probably his as well, but you'll just say it's not his! You're justed a fool!" Kevin's face began to turn red as tears streamed from his and down his face. Everything he's been through was flowing through his body and out. His father stayed silent for a few minutes but it was his turn to talk, "...You're right. I am a fool. I wasn't there to stop their deaths. I wasn't there to guide you through this. I even wasn't there to stop my friend Xehanort from causing all of this. But you know what? You weren't there either. You weren't there when Kyle or your mother died. I shouldn't be taking all the blame in this situation. I suffered just as much as you. I lost my wife, my son, I almost lost you yesterday!!! I wouldn't be able to bear with myself. You're the only reason why I am still alive." He stopped and then continued with another subject, only softer. "I look through your memories and Kyle was never there. That man you saw had his hood up the entire time. He never laughed. He just disappeared." Kevin didn't believe him. Kevin said, "No! I don't believe you. Kyle is alive! Kyle is real-" That's when his father did the unthinkable and smacked Kevin in the face. Kevin went backwards, holding his cheek. His father grew angry and replied, "LISTEN TO ME! Kyle is dead! Everything you saw that involved Kyle was your mind playing tricks on you. When I looked through your memories, I also looked through your heart and saw that all of your bonds were orginally broken, meaning your heart was locked. I'm guessing your master unlocked it. But I notice that things were flowing into your heart. These things are probably the reason why you're seeing Kyle. I don't know what they are, but it must be hurting you. And I feel sorry for you." He hugged his son very tighty. "I didn't want to you leave guys...but I had to...it was my job." Kevin stopped tearing up and made a small smile, hugging his father as well. He patted his dad and said, "It's ok Dad, it's ok." The two seperated and his dad finally said, "Well it seems that you and me need a break from all this non-sense. Let's take this day off. I'm going to get some rest now, as your old man can't be energetic anymore. Why don't you spend time with Naomi? It's been a while since she's had company." Kevin thought for a moment and then nodded. He started to run to Naomi's house, and waved at his dad. "Kevin? He already left a year ago." A man huffed and puffed, as he spoke with Master Miller. "We need to give him the news! We found Xehanort's Secret Hideout!" said the man. Master Miller rose his eyebrows in surprise. He slammed his fist on the table and said, "There's no time! Tell Kevin when he comes back. Now ready our Keyblade Masters. We're invading it!" Walking through the door, he saw Naomi making breakfast for the two of them, who haven't notice Kevin walked in. He looked around the room to analyze the inside of her house. It wasn't huge, but it was medium size and it was pretty fancy. Her parents were probably wealthy. But something caught Kevin's eye. A photo frame of four kids standing on a beach, smiling. He smiled as well and said, "Ahh good memories." Naomi heard him and turned around. She saw that he was looking at the photo frame and said, "Yeah, I still have it. With me, you, Crystal and Kyle." Kevin didn't respond, but kept staring at it. "Heh, I lost my old picture. Didn't mean too, but it happened to disappear." Naomi just shook her head and said, "You lazy bum. Now I got breakfast ready, just for the two of us. Eat up." After their delicious breakfast, the two took a walk around the village, to talk about some things. "So that weapon of yours is called a Keyblade?" said Naomi. Kevin nodded. "But it isn't just a weapon. It's the thing that allows many people to do lots of stuff, like unlock hearts or cast magic. Before we were born, there was a war between the Keyblade Warriors of light and darkness. It was so powerful that it dragged other worlds into conflict. In the end, most of them ended up dying. I went to a world where it was a graveyard for those who died. It had vast amounts of Keyblades," said Kevin. Naomi was curious. She said, "What was it like?" Kevin stopped walking and remembered his fight with Xehanort. "A nightmare." He then continued walking. Naomi stayed silent for a while. She stayed quiet until she thought of Crystal. "How's Crystal? Is she ok?" said Naomi. Kevin's face grew dark. "I don't know. I can't find her..." Naomi looked at Kevin with sadness. She stayed silent again, along with Kevin. The two circled back to the house and rested there. From there, they sat on her couch, still no words came out of either of them. Naomi broke the silence with a unusual question. "Kevin...be honest here...do you like Crystal?" Kevin sighed and said, "Well...I was stuck between Crystal and you. Kyle always thought I liked Crystal, and when my friend Ryusei came along at the castle, Kyle was wrong. Ryusei and Crystal grew a special bond. It was then that I knew that she liked him and he liked her. They danced together that day...it was sweet. They were perfect for each other." Naomi giggled a little and said, "I'll take that as a no." Kevin shrugged and then looked at her. "Wait...what's the purpose of the question?" Naomi blushed, but admit the truth to him. "Because...I like you." Kevin blushed as well with a surpise yell, "Wha-" But before he could finish it, Naomi gently kissed him the cheek. Kevin put his hand on his cheek. He couldn't believe Naomi would kiss him out of surprise. Kevin smiled and threw himself on her. They lied down, both kissed and kissed, enjoying every minute of it. The lights went out shortly. _____________________________________________________________ This chapter goes to RoxSox . There's a reason why I posted this chapter. It's mostly because I want to show you that in this story, you DON'T want to assume or think what I'm doing. Chances are, you're dead wrong. That's why you just keep reading and never try to guess. This story is filled with so much mysteries that you'll be asking questions after this story. So do try to just wonder what's going to happen. I'm throwing a lot of curve balls at you guys. This chapter shows why. You guys thought Kevin killed Kyle's Nobody. Well, this is what happens. You guys were wrong (or at least that one guy who said this). Anyways, I decided to stop here. I was going to continue the chapter, but I would just procrastinate and probably not post this until after Christmas. So I figured I'd stop here and continue what I wanted Speaking of Christmas, try to wish me luck as I want to complete The Lost Star within 6 days, right before Christmas. Maybe I'll hold a crossover between Kingdom Hearts: The Lost Star....and Kingdom Hearts: The Dark Era of Sora >8D I'm actually thinking of getting the authors on here to do a Christmas crossover between stories. I'll need help and people if they want to do it. Whose in?

Tom 437 Posted April 24, 2011 Chapter 20 - Located Kevin yawned. He had woken up with a pounding on the door and some yelling. He could make out some words. "KEVIN! OPEN THE DOOR!" Kevin rolled his eyes and got out of bed. He walked to the front door and opened it, only to see a fist knocking on his head. The fist looked as if it got scared and pulled back. "Sorry about that Kevin." Kevin rubbed his head and looked at the vistors. It was Max and Vincent. "What's up guys?" asked Kevin. Vincent held out a circular object in his gold plated hand. Kevin looked at it strange. "Ok, so what is this?" said Kevin. "It's a recorded message. We found it in the ship. It's for you," said Vincent. Kevin extended his hand and grabbed it, viewing it with such a curious look. With a sudden, a blue hologram popped up. "Ignis?" Kevin wondered. The hologram then began to speak: Kevin. While you traveling the worlds in search for Xehanort, we also took the liberty to do so as well. We have some good news and bad news. Good news, we have finally discovered Xehanort's hideout, where has kept his operations, and have investigated it. Bad news, he isn't there. But you might want to listen to this. Crystal must be in here somewhere and we have searched and we turned this place upside down. We can't find her. Also, any possible traces of Ryusei are not here. Perhaps he is gone forever. Sorry Kevin. However, since I know you are close friends with Crystal and Ryusei, you may come here and help investigate. This device contains the data and instructions to get here, so just plug this into your ship and you'll know where to go. Maybe your connections with them can find them. We'll continue to look. Ignis out. Kevin didn't say anything. The words echoed in his head. We can't find her. Perhap he is gone forever. His fist clutched tightly. Turning around, he found Naomi starring at him. He sighed as he looked down. She walked to him and pulled her hand on his shoulder. "I know you have to leave, and I'm fine with that. I don't know if you'll ever come back, but all I ask is that you keep remembering me, as I'll always remember you. Along with Crystal and Kyle. You guys were my friends, and you still are. Never forget that." Kevin still looked down. That didn't seem to motivate him. "Thanks". The only word that he could say. He gently grabbed her hand and put it down. He walked out the door, as Max and Vincent followed behind. After rowing to the island, they had found the ship. The trio jumped in and closed the hatch. Using that the device eariler, they put it into the ship and the device created a GPS for them. As Kevin turned on the ship, Max interupted him. "What about your dad?" asked Max. Kevin didn't look at him. "If he comes, he comes." The ship's engine blazed with life while Kevin's hands found themselves on the handles. He pushed the handles forwards and the ship shot in the air and into the Lanes Between. Following the GPS, a giant dot appeared. What had shown was a world. Vincent's eyes widen. "Radiant Garden..." Kevin looked up him. He said, "Is this your homeworld, Vincent?" Vincent nodded. They flew right into it. Three people walked out of a giant castle and saw the ship, waving to them. Kevin saw them and began to land. Once the ship the ground, Kevin, Max, and Vincent got out of it. They walked up to the three. It happened to be Ignis, Nero, and Cartes. Ignis smiled at them and then said, "The hideout is within the castle. Come with me." Inside, they were greeted by hallways. Kevin looked around. "I don't know, but this place does give deja vu," said Kevin. While inside, there was multiple Keyblade Wielders, looking around, doing detective work you may say. As Kevin walked with Ignis, he asked, "So...anything new?" Ignis shook his head. Kevin sighed in reply. Ignis made a full stop and so did the others. He now asked the questions. "I know Xehanort broke the bonds in your heart, but can you still retrieve them?" Kevin thought for a moment, then said, "I don't know, but I can try." Ignis smiled. "Just look deep down in your heart," advised Ignis. Kevin nodded, then closed his eyes. In Kevin's heart, it was pitch black. But a giant light illuminated inside. It was the light and darkness of his heart. Deeper down, the memories was stored there. With a sudden, they popped up. They appeared as if they were frames, showing the memory. But he was looking for Crystal. He eventually found them, tangled with other other memories. They seemed to be struggling to get away from Ryusei's. Something was odd about it. With his willpower, Kevin seperated the memories and pushed all of them, except for Crystal's and Ryusei's, casting them down back to the heart. Then he connected the memories together, creating two chains, Crystal's chain and Ryusei's chain. Then, the two ends of the chains connected, forming two circles. With that, a white light emerged from the two and in a second, the entire heart was filled with light. Back out on the outside, Kevin felt the bonds restoring in his heart. The friendship and the times they had over a decade were coming back to him. "I can feel the bonds again....wait, I can feel something else too," said Kevin. He felt a familar person nearby. As he stood, it continued to grow stronger and stronger, and finally, he knew what it was. "Crystal! She's here!" The entire gang looked at him funny, but they all had a happy feeling. It was time for a rescue operation. Ignis then asked, "Well where is she, Kevin?" Kevin thought for a momemnt, then turned around. "This way." He ran, whie the rest followed him. Corner after corner, they ran after Kevin, as the human naviagtor went to different hallways. He soon hit a dead end. "Dead end." "Great." "Now what". The gang was complaining. But Kevin took action. He summoned his Keyblade and blasted the wall. The gang jumped. "What the heck Kevin? You can't be blasting walls down!" cried Max. But Kevin shook his head. "The feeling is getting stronger here." Max just shrugged. Walking inside the giant hole, they came across a humongous room. It was very spacey, looked like someone could live in it. The only problem here was another wall that stood in the heroes' ways. "I can feel her behind this wall. It's just a matter of how to get past it," said Kevin. Nero couldn't help but make a joke. "Oh are you going to blast this door down too?" Kevin ignored the joke, as he inspected it. He put his hand on his chin and continued to wonder. His Keyblade had other plans though. Kevin's Keyblade began to glow a gold tint. Then it dragged his arm up in the air. "Whaaaa-". But there was no time to question. The Keyblade shoot a beam of light at the wall. At first, nothing happened, but soon a keyhole appeared. It made a click noise, signaling it being unlocked. The walls began to split into two and widen, as it opens for our gang. Inside was utter darkness. "We're going to find Crystal in THERE? cried Ignis. Kevin shrugged. "Only one way to find out. They walked in, taking smalls steps as they go. Inside, it was completely dark. So dark it be hard to tell from left to right. "Ignis, can you get the light?" asked Kevin. Ignis sighed and then created Fire from his hands. It caused the room to be a little lit, but still not much. As they walked, they could hear liquid hitting the floor. They weren't aware of it, but this wasn't any normal liquid. While walking, Nero had stepped in a puddle. He freaked and then said, "I know I like water, but this is just too creepy!" But then looked down and found that it wasn't water. It was red. Simliar to..."Guys, you might want to check this out." The rest turned around to Nero. "What is it?" asked Ignis. Nero pointed down, hinting them. As they looked down, they could see the red liquid. Kevin was the first to identify it. "Blood. But whose?" However, there was more just up ahead. "Looks like someone was bleeding up a storm," said Nero as he continued his rain of jokes. "No you idiot. It's a trail. Somebody wants us to follow...wait, this could be Crystal's! Quick, let's follow it!" He grabbed Ignis and started running, as well as the others. The gang followed the bloody trail until they hit a room. A dark room, but the fire helped let them see. Ignis waved his hand to the left and then to the right. But once he turned around, a shadow cast on them on the slightly lit room. Kevin saw the shadow and looked directly at a corner. Although it was hard to see, it moved slightly. Ignis moved a little bit, and Kevin could make some out of it. It was a person, in dirty cloth that it wore, covered in blood. It had long black hair, and bruises on the limbs. Blood covered around her. He knew what it was. "CRYSTAL!" He slid to her side and picked her up. She was barely breathing, her heart rate extremely slow. The mass amount of blood she lost problably help sitmulate it her condition. Her eyes barely open, without pupils. She starred at Kevin. She probably would of smiled at him if she wasn't like this. Although weak, she did try to talk. Only two words could come out. "Wh....Wher....Where's Ryusei?" Kevin looked at her, then closed his eyes. Sadness drew into his heart. He had searched everywhere for Xehanort and his friends. Now he has succeeded in finding Xehanort's hideout, Radiant Garden. And he had succeeded in finding Crystal. But he had failed to find Ryusei. He was gone. Kevin held back the tears, and continued walking. The others looked at him with sad looks, then walked slowly with him. Once they had reached out the wall like doors, they were greeted with lots of Keyblade wielders. Keivn looked up and saw that they were all in their armor. Something was up. He walked up to them, but said nothing. He waited for their responses. And so it was done. The man in front of him said, "Master Kevin. We have been informed that the castle has been under attacked." His eyes widen. "WHAT?" cried Kevin. He pushed Crystal's half dead body onto the man and began running out. "KEVIN!", his gang yelled at him. But Kevin ignored. Once out of the castle, he went into his ship and started it immediantly. The gang followed behind, but it didn't matter to him. Once the engine was prepared, his put his hands on the handles and began driving out of there at full speed. The gang had stopped and watch him vanish from the sky. He knew who was attacking. And he was going to stop it. "XEHANORT! YOU CAN'T HAVE MY HOME!" Meanwhile, somewhere else... "So the castle is under attack, huh?" I'm afraid so. "We have to go." Are you forgeting about the plans? "I'm not going to leave it like it. It's my home... ... "I'm sure he'll be there. And you'll be able to take revenge on him." ...Very well. We shall go. ____________________________________________________________________________ FINALLY POSTED A DAMN CHAPTER FOR ONCE. A big help to all my procastination and all the distractions around me -__- Anyway, after a second hiatus, it's now out. It's pretty, that I got to say. That's particially the reason why this took so long. Well it's definitely safe to say that I will be finishing this story. I do want to start up a new KH fanfic, which I, so far, titled, Kingdom Hearts: Xehanort's Dive, which is basically my perspective of the youth years of Xehanort. It's pretty cool, when I see it in my head. But no spoilers, just read this and be on with your lives. When to expect the ending....hmmm, not entirely sure. My birthday is coming up on June 4th, which is pretty much a month from that. I'll be 16, so yippie Sweet 16. So I'll see what I can do in the month of May. If I don't finish it in May, I'll probably hold June off for my birthday and end of school year, and then finish it in the summer time. Sounds like a plan, right? Let's just hope I see it through T_T

Tom 437 Posted April 29, 2011 Chapter 21 - Invasion Kevin flew around the Lanes Between, searching for his home. He eventually saw the Castle of Sora, and he directed his course to there. Upon reaching it, he looked around the castle. Everything seems...normal. Quiet. But too quiet. Usually people would be outside training or hanging out with others. There was nobody there. They must be inside the castle, Kevin thought. But he did not think twice. He knew that Xehanort attacked, whether it be inside the castle or if he's done it. Only one way to find out. As he drove around the castle, he opened the hatch, and stood on the ship. He held on, until he saw a giant window that leads to the Training Room. Taking the leap of faith, he crashed through the giant glass and landed on the ground, summoning his Keyblade. He looked left and right, but nothing was here. Just pitch darkness. He lowered his guard, and turned around, only to see a dark figure in front of him. In a quick second, the figure grabbed Kevin's face. His hand then glowed a evil looking purple aura and Kevin's eyes grew smaller. "UGH!" he cried. "That reckless Kevin..." stated Ignis. Back at Radiant Garden, Ignis, Nero, Cartes, Max, and Vincent the other Keyblade Wielders were preparing to go to COS to take back what was theirs. Summoning their armor and getting on their Keyblade Gliders, they were ready to fight. Ignis had summoned his armor, but before he could get on his Keyblade Glider, his name was called. "Ignis," Crystal called out. He stopped and turned, seeing the much better Crystal. She walked up to him and attempted to speak, but Ignis interupted her. "No, you can't go," said Ignis. Crystal shook her head. "You don't understand! I have to stop-". Ignis interupted her again. "Listen, we'll take care of Xehanort. You still need to recover. Now just rest up and we'll be back for you." He began to walk away, but Crystal made one last statement: "I wasn't refering to him." Ignis stopped. He turned his head and led his eyes on the suspicious Crystal. He turned his head back and continue walking and got on his Keyblade Glider. He shot his arm in the air, signaling the others. As soon as a portal opened, he put his arm down and they all took off, into the portal that leads to the Lanes Between. Crystal sighed, as her message was important. She looked around, seeing emtpiness. But that changed when she saw an extra pair of armor left behind. She summonded her Keyblade, and looked at it for a second. Then she closed her eyes and held it to her chest. She opened her eyes and walked to the armor. As the Keyblade wielders apporached COA on their Keyblade Gliders, darkness sprung out out of the castle. It spread towards the wielders at fast speeds. They all dodged, but it got two of them. "Crap! We got to get in there!" yelled Ignis. It would seem that Xehanort's defense system was in fact darkness to prevent "uninvited guests" from getting to the castle. Ignis and his band of Keyblade wielders tried to dodge all of them, but there was so much darkness and so much floating bodies. Ignis, Nero, Cartes, Max, Vincent, and a couple of others managed to get through. Once Ignis landed on the ground, he put his hand up to his ear, "All units! I'm ordering you to back off and retreat to the castle. A couple of us landed, we can't risk any more lives. Head back immediantly!" He looked up at the sky to see the Keyblade wielders flying away from the castle as the darkness returned back to COS. Ignis took off his helmet and did a role call. "...Jack...Kiera...oh no." Ignis stopped and saw one of the survivors. Ignis rubbed his forehead. "Toby". Toby made a little timid smile. Toby was a very shy person. His blue hair and grey pupils stood out with his unusual smile. However, Toby wasn't so great with fighting. He is usually too afraid to fight, which mostly goes to friends and other humans. Creatures, he has little problem with slaying them. So it's rare to see Toby in such a fighting mood. This made Ignis a little worried. But they were on a mission and they were sticking to it. He deactivated his armor and said, "Alright, let's head in."
Tom 437 Posted May 1, 2011 Chapter 22 - Resurrection Opening the doors inside the castle, Ignis, Nero, Cartes, Max, Vincent, Jack, Kiera, and Toby went inside the mighty castle, the one that used to be their home. Inside the castle, it was awfully dark, much like the castle back at Radiant Garden, except it was still visibally capable of seeing inside. However, you could say it was suspicious dark here. Unknown to them is the dangers they will face...soon. It was only the entrance into the castle, and darkness flew out the doors. Something powerful was inside the room. As they took their steps carefully, mechincal noises could be heard. Clink! Clang! Clink! Whatever it was, it was moving towards them. They couldn't see anything moving, but the noise was definitely there. For each step was a louder noise. Eventually the noise had stopped. The person must of stopped moving. Ignis looked to his left, then his right. Nothing. The person, or thing, was playing with them. Suddenly, a glowing flower petal fell from the celling. The crew noticed it immediantly because of its glow in the darkness. As it descended, they watched carefully around them, hoping for no attack on them. Ignis slowly put his hands in front of him to catch the slow moving flower petal. It was in fact a rose petal, once from a beautiful flower. Even though danger was here, Ignis felt his tensions shrinking as the lovely petal glowed on his hands. However, the crew should of expected a surprise attack. While the crew stood there staring at the pedal, something else descended from the celling. This time it was huge, and fell faster. It also a giant weapon on it. Ignis and his crew did not notice it, but the falling air had given it away its position. They all looked at them at the thing and dodged. The thing crashed his weapon into the ground, creating a fissure within the ground. It knelt there for a second, then stood, caring its weapon. It soon summonded another glowing rose petal, and rose its arm. It then close its hand, covering the glow. But once it opened its hand, multiple rose petals flew out. It glowed the entire room, and before anyone knew it, the lights were on. Before Ignis and his crew was another man. He was a shirtless guy. However, his legs were all mechincal like. His hair was a bright pink. His blue eyes stared at his opponents. In his hand was a large pink sythe. The man smiled. Ignis grew angry. "Who are you?" cried Ignis. The man just kept smiling. "Why it's been so long when I first existed. It's quite hard to remember my actual name. But you may refer to me as Marluxia," said the man. Marluxia was his name, stopping them was his game. Something was odd about him. Ignis felt a connection between him. Even Nero and Cartes did. Toby and the others just looked at him. It seemed they didn't quite understand. But it didn't matter. They had to stop Marluxia. But they also needed to get past him and get to Xehanort. But who was going to stop...."Ignis. You guys go on ahead. I'll take care of this joker," said Nero. Nero's determination had shocked Ignis. Ignis nodded and the rest of them went ahead. Nero summonded his Keyblade and looked at him. He smiled and said, "HEY PRETTY BOY! FLOWERS ARE FOR GIRLS, NOT FOR GUYS!" This had angered Marluxia. In a fit of rage, he attacked Nero. The rest of the gang moved on ahead. Ignis led the way, but was stopped when purple arrows flew out and struck the ground in front of them. "Hey hey. How's it going, kiddies?" said a man. Ignis sighed. "Great, another guy. Just what we need." The man appeared appeared from the shadows. He was definitely different from Marluxia. He black hair with white streaks. He wore a black coat, with a red scarf hanging from his neck. He also contained an eye patch with another scar. He wielded two arrow guns at his disposal. His arms were mechincal. And his yellow eye watched from distance. He then said, "You don't have to get defensive there, buddy. I thought I'd like to introduce myself. The name's Braig. But you can call me Xigbar if that makes you feel any better." Ignis shook his head. "Yeah well I don't care. Now get out of our ways!" Xigbar moved back, waving his arms in the air. "Whoa, you starled me there. Calm down, there's no need to rush. I mean, Kevin's not in there....oops, did I say that?" said Xigbar. His words taunted Ignis's brain. He began to run after him, but Cartes stopped him. Xigbar continued the taunting. "Say...haven't we worked together a long time ago? I don't know, that red head of yours does seem familar. Lexa was it? Nah, that wasn't it." Ignis had enough of this. "SHUT UP!" Xigbar laughed. He said, "Hey, he loses his temper! Just like him! As if." He then said, "Well squirt, Xehanort has plans and he didn't invite you. Besides, I gotta teach you some manners anyways. Going around disrespecting an old man like me gets you no credit." Ignis wanted to hurt him so badly. He would of never known that somone like him could do this to him. But Cartes stepped in. "Don't worry, I got him," said Cartes. Ignis looked at him. "Are you sure?" asked Ignis. Cartes nodded. Ignis then waved his hand. "Alright guys move on. Cartes got him." The gang began to run out of the second door. Xigbar attempted to stop them by shooting some arrows at him, but Cartes blocked the door and deflected them with his summonded Keyblade. Xigbar wasn't too happy. "Ah poohy. I thought I was going to have more of a challenge, but I guess not. Huh, you look familar too. Is your name Droxul? Wait, that can't be right. Oh well, names are for squares," said Xigbar. The two prepared for battle. Reaching the next room, somebody was already there. A man with blue hair. He was looking down, but at the presence of the Ignis and the others, he looked up. Something wasn't right as all. His entire body was mechincal, expect for the head. His long blue hair reached as long as his body, and his eyes glowed a bright yellow. Unlike the others he didn't say anything. Nothing at all. The crew looked at him weird, then summonded their weapons. He only starred. He then summonded his weapon, which had looked like a claymore. He charged the group. Jack and Kiera charged him as well, but he had mysteriously pushed them away. He was aiming towards Ignis. He rose his claymore and struck at Ignis, but Ignis, already had his Keyblade out, rose his Keyblade and blocked it. The two were playing a tug-o-war in this situation, pushing one another. He looked at the others, and cried, "GO!" The others looked at him and went on ahead. Running to the next door was an unexpected surprise. Toby managed to run in and go on ahead, but the others were stopped when two men appeared in front of them. An orange haired man with a black haired man stood in front of them, guarding the door. They had summonded their weapons, one with a giant tomahawk and another with multiple lances. The crew backed up a little, only to bump into more of them. A blonde haired man and a dark blue haired man, wielding a shield and a lexicon. One thing for sure was that they all had mechincal parts everywhere. And they were ready to fight. But it wasn't enough. Two more appeared from the side. They had yellow hair, but they were the same person. It was just one side of each of them had half of a female body. The two smiled at them as they prepared their knives out. One of them spoke out, "Ah 6 to 4. This should be easy." Meanwhile, Toby went ahead and managed to reach the Training Room. Inside was dark, but when the lights opened, there were people there. Two people were floating against the wall, while a white haired man was sitting on a a chair. It almost looked like he was a king on a throne. "Ah Toby. Pleasure you could make it while your friends meet their death." It was Xehanort. Toby would then face Xehanort. He looked to his left and right to find the two people on the walls, with their eyes closed. His eyes widen. "Kevin! Master!" Yes, it was Kevin and Master Miller, captured by the infamous Xehanort. They were not awake to stop him. Kevin's eyes slowly opened when his named called out. He looked around, with his vision all blurry. When it became clear, he saw Toby facing Xehanort. "TOBY! GET OUT OF THERE!" screamed Kevin. But Toby didn't listen. He summonded his Keyblade and prepared to fight Xehanort. But his legs trembled as he looked at Xehanort's grin. No matter, however, as he ran towards him at full speed, Xehanort slowly got up from his chair. When the two became close, Xehanort grabbed him by the throat. The evil look on his face grew bigger. Toby struggled to get away from him, but it was no hope. Xehanort's other hand began to glow purple and tried to grab Toby's face. However, when he did, his hand grew painful, as he felt a stingy and burning sansation. "UGH!" cried Xehanort, as he backed his hand away from him. He then said, "What are you? How can the darkness not touch you? You seem so weak, but your heart can resist me? Ridiculous! No matter." He smiled. He summonded his Keyblade and aim at Toby. This was Toby's final moment. "Oh Toby, it's a shame really that I have to end your life like this. You could of been one of my experiments! If only you could have resisted. I have to end you like I ended my last experiment," said Xehanort. His Keyblade glowed dark, and began to deliver the final blow. Toby was done. Nothing could stop his doom. This was the end of a poor boy.... "Stop right there." Xehanort followed the voice's command and stopped. He looked around to find two mysterious people, dressed in black coats. They stood there with their hoods over their heads, watching from a distance. Xehanort smiled. "Oh so the pretend heroes are finally here. And what do I own to you?" The taller one, the one who had spoken, then said, "Vengence." Xehanort shrugged his arms and looked at Toby. "Very well". With his still glowing Keyblade, he then struck Toby, finishing what he was supposed to do. Toby felt massive pain, then closed his eyes. His body then began to disappear, and his heart floated away, in the celling, also disappearing. The other man in the black coat reached out at Toby's heart, but he knew he wouldn't get it. Xehanort looked over at him and gave a weird look at him. It almost seemed like the man knew Toby. Xehanort slowly walked to their direction and as he walked, he had said, "Vengence is a harsh thing. A hateful feeling. One that belongs to the darkness. Tell me brother, do you hate me?" ______________________________________________________________________________ Oh no, scary big paragraphs. Well that's Chapter 22. Chapter 23 up whenever. As you can see, most of you guys are probably WTFing, but it will all make sense in due time. Where's that Origins story when you need it? I can tell I do pretty good impersonation with Xigbar. Hey, maybe a future fanfic with him. Maybe, not definitely.
