KHDays So if the Ice Cream line is good...

Recommended Posts

I really don't know what everyone is talking about? there where certain things that created Xion into a strong character. She fought so hard to be. No matter how many times they broke her she came back. She hid that she lost her keyblade, and when she got it back she used her vacation training with it. She broke into the organisation's data to find out where she came from. She told Axel to not hold back when they where about to fight, because she knew what she was fighting for. There's just so much more to her, you may not like Xion, but that doesn't mean she's flat.

At least Xion was brave enough to face her problems.Xion's sacrifice wasn't melodramatic, she didn't trick Roxas into killing her, Roxas didn't even kill her, she went back to be with Sora. The whole reason Xion fought Roxas was so she could get him to return to Sora as well. She never once showed or said that she hated her life so she got Roxas to kill her, all she wanted to do was to help Riku, so she did what ever she could, even going against her best friends, because Xion wanted to take down the org, not because she hated her life.

well actually she did kind of trick roxas into fighting her. and she knew that it wasnt Roxas's time yet. if she made Roxas go into sora at that moment (there is no physical way for him to go back to sora unless xion absorbs him) orgy XIII's plan would succeed and that was exactly what Xion was NOT trying to do.

it was a ruse. she was trying to secretly tell him through the fight that he had to end her. so in the end, Roxas did the final blow. but i do agree with you that he didnt kill her exactly. and she did want to help riku. but that wasnt all she wanted to do. She was even reluctant to do what Riku advised her to do. But she knew it was best. and she did what she had to do. It's not her fault that she had a bad life. and even though she is a pathos character, other people if they were put in her shoes may have not done what she had.

now for the non relevant part.:

there are some points in the game that show her personality and develop her character such as when she lost her keyblade and how many times she ran away and what she did at CO. she's a very determined person albeit she's easily discouraged. AAAAANDDD...if you count her physical actions done without words, she can be sort of girly at some point and can get excited and happy at moments. (like that time in beasts castle when she jumped up and down when she got her keyblade back...i dunno if i'm overthinkking this) Actually in my opinion, XIon is just like Sora in terms of dimension of character. Sora's flat sorta in a sense if you go over it. even in DDD he admitted that he was just a normal boy who has the keyblade. He's childish and is very determined and gets serious when you push him. that's about it. some of what makes him unique is his interactions with disney characters.  that just brings out his personality more from his character.

Aaaaaaaaand that's why i love the manga more than the game. even though days was my first game. i'm not biased.

You can't blame Xion for having that unusual connection with sea salt ice cream. In fact, it's identical with Roxas' connection to it. Don't you remember that they both didn't have any memories of their time as Sora? In their early lives, they were like newborn children in terms of knowledge and memories. They didn't have any memories of friendship, and thanks to Axel's guidance, they were lead to believe that sea salt ice cream is a really strong element of being friends.

So if the ice cream line is good, that meant Xion was a good friend. a good, protective, generous friend.

And honestly, about the part were she does this stuff instead of telling her friends about it, why don't you try to question your own existence and have to go through extremes just to know? I'm sure you have friends that care a lot about you and in return, you don't want to hurt them by getting them involved in something dangerous. If I were Xion, knowing myself I would do the exact same thing.

Something that I feel that I should really bring up is good person=/=good character and bad person=/=bad character. That's something that I think confuses a lot of people. If the character is a good person than by default they HAVE to be a good character. Which is simply not true. Sometimes characters aren't even really so much "characters" as they are concepts. Since he was brought up I'll use Vanitas for example. Vanitas has the character depth of a dry puddle with only one note, that note being "MWAHAHAHA!!!" Regardless, I still really like this bastard. Why? I think he's a great concept. I like him as a concept but I will never say (unless they develop him more in the future or something) is that he's a good character because he barely is one.

You've never read the Birth by Sleep novels, have you?

As much as I was able to read, yes, but they're irrelevant to the games until further notice as they're not entirely canon.

This video will always be the one I post when this asinine question comes up.

Anyone who thinks that line has no meaning, or that it's proof Xion is pointless (seriously who the firetruck comes to that conclusion,.), is completely one dimensional.

the real reason why poeple like her is because they're angsty teenage fangirls and they think that the more drama the character has, the better.

psst surprise fact: no one who played the original games first thinks that xion is good, becuase they were exposed to actual characters with good development.

psssssst surprise fact #2: xions character/personality is copy and pasted at least once in every new final fantasy game because square knows fangirls will obsess over it and buy sequels/merchandise.

I don't think Sora nor Vanitas are a 'joke' or cheesy. Honestly I like all Kingdom Hearts characters. Reason: they all act different which makes me like them. Sure Xion should had have a bigger part in the series but I honestly think her story should right where it is. She actually reached her climax in the series but she's still an important character in the game. Like everyone else in the series
