Okay, I think I got everything settled with Skype.  But if I am to be talking with anyone there, I might have to speak real loud.  I could barely hear myself after a couple of sound tests.

 

That doesn't seem right to happen Neko-chan.

Go to your master sound and make sure that the mic is turned up all the way in there.Also, make sure that if you have an on board sound system (like the Realtek HD audio system) that it's maxed out. If you are using an ASUS board, it's best to plug in your mic through rear port instead if you can.I messaged you both Nort and Ultimus.Please respond if it's you.
