mikethegamer 53 Posted October 11, 2012 (edited) It would be hard to top Xehanort. If another dark based antagonist is used it'll just feel repetitive. That's why I'm hoping they'll go for a light based enemy in the next saga. We've already seen one kind of light based enemy before so it's not impossible. (Btw the one light based enemy is the balls of light in BBS. Yes, they count as light-based enemies. They are made of light, and they attack you. So why not have a light based antagonist?) Smithee 327 Posted October 11, 2012 Became Xehanort? Please no, that would be terrible. The last person I want out there with god-like powers is Sora. Seriously, I'd rather give it to Donald. No; becomes a "vigilante" determined to protect his friends by getting rid of darkness. No darkness = no threats, and no threats = safe friends. Not even my theory; just heard it through the grapevine.
Raziel 248 Posted October 11, 2012 Data-Sora protects all the data from being forever lost, and leads us to being able to reach Data-CO. Sora helps him out, but since the entire point of the game is the secret message Namine gives you (and hearts) he ensured that we'd be able to access it. Data-Sora saved him, but he saved the missing folk. But you said that it was Data-Riku that saved Sora from being Norted. Um...I'm pretty sure Lea did. Data-Riku wasn't even IN kh 3D...And I don't even see how your response answers my question in the slightest.

Riku saved Sora from being Norted by fighting the darkness in his mind. Sorry, I mistyped. No; becomes a "vigilante" determined to protect his friends by getting rid of darkness. No darkness = no threats, and no threats = safe friends. Not even my theory; just heard it through the grapevine. Ah. Not terribly likely, but it would be an interesting twist on Nomura's comments that Sora will always be the main character in the game.

Darkness = criminal Balance = law Light = vigilante It would be kind of like ^that.
dusk 910 Posted November 3, 2012 I won't say that Xehanorth is bad character, he is kinda cool, but as Dave said he really isn't that good at what he does: he just bets on what very unlogical characters would do and only succeeds because it's necessary for the plot. Also he lacks that ultimate goal behind his all work, like c'mon "I'm intrested to see what is beyond keyblade war" I don't see that as intresting goal and he seems to work way too much to something like that. I would see villain who has actually intresting goal in his work, the villain we can feel bad for (like villains from MGS), the guy who is actually evil. I wouldn't mind to play as anti-hero type character either. Or just put Skeletor as next villain, he is the best 1 Joker reacted to this
Heike 53 Posted November 3, 2012 I would love to see Aqua becoming villain OoOoOoOo SCARY

Ruran 481 Posted November 3, 2012 I think there's a good chance of developing a better villain considering that they'll have more planning room. For about the first half of the "Xehanort Saga" Nomura was more or less making things up as he went along so Xehanort him self didn't actually show up until half way through the series. Now they know for sure there'll be a saga proceeding this one so it may flow better as a whole, consistent villain included.
Ultima Weapon 71 Posted November 5, 2012 I'm certain, that there could be a better villain than Xehanort's. I'm tired of needlessly intricate Xehanort's plans.
xion---424 51 Posted November 19, 2012 xehanort is a manipulator what if we had a backstabbing manipulator,or oooo oooo oooo SILENT HILL villans...no no no.. im sorry i dont think sora would last long aghinst that.
Smithee 327 Posted November 19, 2012 (edited) Hopefully the next villain will be Light-based and sympathetic; the exact opposite of Xehanort, and a moral dilemma for Sora & Co. Ideally a formerly Balance-based person (like Mickey and Yen Sid) who ended up getting horribly screwed over by Darkness (most likely due to Xehanort; I wouldn't be surprised) and now follows Eraqus's teachings to the letter. And unlike Xehanort, this person treats his/her followers with Sora-like respect, furthering the moral grayness. Ironic, given that Xehanort wanted to "tear down this tyranny of Light and reorganize the Worlds around the Darkness which then creeps back in", yet ended up convincing people that Darkness really is bad after all. Velvet Scarlatina 607 Posted November 24, 2012 Perhaps after Xehanort has possibly brought back the real, true Kingdom Hearts and has been defeated afterwards, a physical form of Kingdom Hearts could appear to punish the heroes for letting all of these events happen...or something. Basically, Kingdom Hearts as the next villain. I know, stupid and illogical, but just a suggestion.
SinHeartlessAngel 555 Posted November 24, 2012 They might make a new villian, but no one can beat Xehanort >
