Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted October 4, 2012 I actually kind of figure he would win. I didn't watch the debate {I forgot there WAS a debate, silly me} but my dad wanted to watch it. Honestly, now I just want whoever the new President will be, that they will work on that health care for 9/11 first responders. Because right now me, my mom and dad are living off of just his pension and he get's no disability money and we're pretty broke. So we need that health care anyway. DragonMaster 1,166 Posted October 5, 2012 (edited) Yeah, Romney was definitely the stronger debater. I was disappointed with Obama's performance, I know he can do better, his speeches show as much. Still, the debate did nothing to change my opinion (except confirm my suspicions, Romney is gonna give these his all, and that he's a great debater). I still prefer Obama. Amon 4,279 Posted October 5, 2012 Eh, who care who "wins" the debates. It only matters who wins the race. In a close election like this, the debates are important as they will influence the crucial swing states. Meanwhile, at the other 2 important debates.... Romney did well I give him that. Ill have to see the other two debates, ima still vote for Obama tho. The first debate is the most important. If Obama can't be on his A game for the first debate, how can we expect him to be on his A game for the second debate or even four more years in office. Also the vice presidential debate will go to Ryan hands down. Biden is a total idiot, even my Democrat friends completely agree with me. Plus the Vice Presidential debates aren't all that influential towards the outcome of the election. I actually kind of figure he would win. Both candidates will make sure you and others in a similar situation are cared for. They just have different ways of going about it. The media lies. Obama doesn't want to turn America into the Soviet Union and Romney doesn't want you to go without healthcare. Yeah, Romney was definitely the stronger debater. I was disappointed with Obama's performance, I know he can do better, his speeches show as much. Speaking to a crowd that will probably applaud at everything you say is very different than speaking to a crowd that will criticize your every move AND to the person who's trying to take your job away. 1 Jim reacted to this
Sonic 487 Posted October 5, 2012 (edited) just to lighten up the mood other than that though. im still not sure who i'm voting for. It's gonna take a long time just to fix everything up, and both candidates need to figure out what to do instead of i guess "going at each other's throats" in a sense Edited October 5, 2012 by Sonic
Demyx. 10,064 Posted October 5, 2012 In a close election like this, the debates are important as they will influence the crucial swing states. Some maybe. But our country is stubborn. Most people know who they are going to vote for just because of party.

OthersiderME 614 Posted October 5, 2012 I dunno, there was that quote where Romney corrected himself after stating something about "the poor kids" and said something like, "I mean, lower income families." And did anyone else notice the color-coded ties? Especially how Brian Williams wanted to look neutral and wore a purple tie?
