Secret Message's meaning...

I thought everyone knew that, before the HD remix was even announced the majority of people already concluded that the Secret Message is either KH3 (since it said new number) or a remake (since it said past reawakened in never before seen detail). The announcement of KH HD basically confirmed it was the latter

I think Square is in confusion with this message. So I read that the japanese message was clearly about HD.

"The PAST will be reawakened as a new number (1.5) in never-before-seen detail (HD).

"Prepare yourself for the AWAKENING of the NEXT number (2.5)."

 

Nomura has mayby a bit messed up the second line for KH3 but KH3 is not an awakening.

He didn't. He hinted at this, but he didn't scream out "GUYS, I'M GONNA MAKE A 2.5 REMIX!!!"And because 2.5 isn't confirmed the last line can also hint at KH3... Or maybe at both... Just because you don't know what its meaning is, only Nomura does.

I know the first part, but who knows? Maybe there will be a secret in the cover art, or in the credits of one of them saying something like "Directed by Trollmura,""Be prepared" and then the end of the secrets. Just a small hint that KH3 isn't too far away. I remember reading somewhere that Nomura wants to release one title each year starting from BBS I think.2010:BBS2011:ReCoded2012: DDD2013: KH 1.5 HD2014: ???2015: KH3?

If "Reawakened" refers to the 1.5 ReMIX then "Awakening" then can't refer to another ReMIX as it hints that it's something new, therefore KH3.

A 2.5 ReMIX is possible but not officially announced. Besides KH3D is too new for a remake so that leaves KH2, BBS, and Coded and the name "2.5" doesn't fit very well with BBS in it.

Look up the meaning of "spin-off" please. Spin-offs don't effect the story and usually happen in an alternate universe than the main story. (Example: Pokemon Emerald is a sequel to Ruby and Sapphire while Mystery Dungeon is a spin-off /bad example) The only ones KH has is Mobile and the soon to be PC game. (people saying "spin-off" bugs me)

I think the message is the same in Japanese. The wording may be a little different if a direct translation is compared but the meaning will be the same.

No video game company in history only remade one main game, that wouldn't even make sense. Plus he still needs to fulfill his promise for one KH game per year, and I know for a fact next years is 2.5.

Yeh indeed BBS has a very small chance to be in 2.5. Better be it in 0.5. I believe we will mayby see a sneak peak of BBS V2 in KH 1.5 or 2.5.
