So, in KH3D, we know locations of all old Org. Xlll, except for:

 

Marluxia,

Demyx,

Luxord,

and Larxene.

 

However, check out this:

n the video, Ienzo points out that if the original world is not there, for whatever reason, they find refuge in...where else, Traverse Town!

 

And where does Sora go at the end of KH3D? That's right, Traverse Town.

Maybe I'm just being hopeful, but I see a potential connection here!

When Heartless are defeated, essentially the owner's hearts are rejoined with their once extinguished body, whichever world it may be on. As for the whereabouts of hearts in KHII that turn up, this time they remarkably went to the Organization (there is a foot note here that says "In Kingdom Hearts II after Heartless were defeated, the many hearts were absorbed by the Kingdom Hearts of "people's hearts"). However, in the rare case that the body changed into a Nobody, when there is no container for the heart it resorts to a state of suspension.

In the case of a Nobody being defeated, it's a little more complicated. If the above mentioned hearts are liberated, they return to their original form. However, if the heart is still stolen by the Heartless, the Nobody's body is swallowed by darkness. If somewhere in the world their hearts are taken back, perhaps they might be able to return to their original human form.

 

This was stated by Nomura. They could have been revived, yes, but is not mandatory. And considering they have not appeared in BBS nor in KH3D I'm starting to think they are not coming back.

Thats a flashback to when they lost their hearts ..Also , if you revive you revive wherever you lost your heart which is why the others were surprised Braig and Isa weren't there .The others knew they lost their hearts there too.If the place you lost your heart is gone/destroyed you can revive in other places like Traverse town .

This is it was explained in game to be a flash back, hence why it was in the flashback section of the mementos, it was also confirmed in the interviews to be a flashback.

 

Is the first cutscene we see in KH3D a flashback to 10 years before the first Kingdom Hearts when Xehanort and co. lost their hearts in an experiment?

I thought that was them all reviving together, and Xehanort released Braig's heart to recreate Xigbar. My confusion is what happened with Isa then, did they just grab his body and wait for him to wake up so they could create Isanort? Did he wake up and they Norted him off-screen?

No its was 100% positive a flashback This was also confirmed by Nomura.. It was showing how they lost their hearts years back .Also, Isa and Lea didn't lose their hearts at the same time the apprentices did, just the same place..Saix was norted way back even in Days just like Braig was Norted in BBS .He always had the norted features like Xigbar , we just didn't know what they meant back then ...

Pretty much but we don't know exactly why MX was reborn as the old man , but he is ...Nomura said that Terra is a deliberate mystery for now .We just know that MX says he still has Terra in some form under his power (as his vessel)..Even whether that Isanort and braignort are from the present or past is a mystery too. They could've been picked up from the present before the others awoke ..This is stated by Nomura in the DDD ultimania and the famitsu interview archived on may 10 here..
