What Utada song should be in KH3?

Recommended Posts

So, we can't use Simple and Clean or Passion again, that'd suck.

SaC has been used in three games, and Passion two.

So, what Utada song should be used?

I say a remixed version of Be My Last for the intro and the regular for the outro.

I think if they can't get Utada to come back, they should get the singer who sang the TWEWY theme song. She sings just as beautifully as Utada does in my opinion. I also feel, unless they want to keep the two-utada-song-only theme the have going, that they should probably make a new song, or some epic remix of either of Passion/Sanctuary or Hikari/Simple and Clean. ^^;

For those who don't know the TWEWY theme song:

Japanese:

LIbU-2s1RME

English:

I just think she wouldn't be such a bad replacement singer if they decided it was time to just do a new song in general. ^^;

But I love Hikari more than Passion, so I would choose Hikari if it had to be one of those two. xD.

none, she doesn't do anything for square enix anymore, so they're most likely gonna use either hikari/passion or they'll have to find another songstress

Yes, but Beautiful World is from Evangelion. They will never use it. It is a good song though...

I hope they will ask leah again! I saw Lullaby for you but I'd like something like Calling more...

But I've always liked more modern music. (Not that Hikky isn't good, but...)

The first thing that I thought when I read the forum title was "anything but Hikari/Simple and Clean and Passion/Sanctuary." xD

Hmm... I dunno. Maybe, if she ever comes back, she could make a new song...? Okay, I still think that Hikari is a pretty song, so they have the orchestra version on the ending and the original during the credits.

(Lol sorry for reviving this)

Not a Utada song, but it reminds me of one. And somehow I imagine this song playing in the KH 3D intro.

That song is already used in Inuyasha. I doubt they will put it in the future games since it's already used :P

Its not fair until when Tytsu Nomura will keep putting the 2 songs

Um...what? Don't really understand what you're trying to say.

Utada was the only person he wanted to sing for KH. Something about her being a role model and showing that music can transcend language barriers. Since she refused to continue (blame Disney for being cheap), they have to make do with what she had already provided.

Why must be Utada, why not Yui?

She's cool in making sanctuary-like songs, you know, like 'Again' of fma from her, so if Utada doesn't work for SE anymore, she's a really good replacement.

Alright, for anyone who doesn't know, Utada doesn't work for Square because

1. Money issues

2. It was hard for her to re-record her entire songs and sing them in a language she wasn't familiar with.

So we can expect either Simple and Clean or Sanctuary, and since I'm beginning to get sick of SaC, I'm pulling for Sanctuary.

Disney actually, not Square.

And it wasn't that she was unfamiliar with it (being fluent in bother Japanese and English), but the overall process of having to translate and create and entirely new song put too much of a strain on her, and she as an artist couldn't take what she was being asked for.

But after reading the interview again, it seems that her dad made the decision to stop working with Disney because of them being cheapskates.
