To People Complaining About the Graphical Quality of KH1.5...

Recommended Posts

Wait are you comparing this to Kh 1.5? Cause this game was originally for the Dreamcast, so of course Kh would be better.

KH1.5 is an HD remake, the same is true with this game

People are complaining the graphics in KH1.5 aren't a good enough improvement.

What I'm pointing out is this; at least is was improved at all! This is just SA2 with widescreen and a higher resolution.

I don't think people realize how good 1.5 is, by comparison to most HD remakes

Now that I look at it, it does just seem like a higher resolution, widescreen SA2. But people really are complaining? The graphics look really good when enhanced in HD, escpecially for a game that was released back in 2002. I'd say it's just as high quality as the MGS Collection or the Ico/Shadow of Collaseus collection. Edited by HeiTheFlamingRamen

There's no point in rereleasing games like that in HD. It only makes it easier to see how shitty the graphics are.

However, with KH HD 1.5 they at least changed out their old bad textures with their newer once. Kudos to you Square Enix. For doing more than simply just adding HD.

For a game like SA2 and KH can get away for the most part because they have their own unique graphics style. What we can see in most HD remakes is developers tightening up the AA (The edges of the character/environment models to make it look more smooth.), Widescreen, Loading times, and frame-rates fix for the most part.

To me, It's not about the graphics quality but the unique graphics style each game has. Also, just be lucky that an HD remake is even being made right now instead of buying a used PS2 and a used game. Same goes to other HD remakes that were being released so far. Just be lucky that these games are releasing in our current gen consoles.

I agree with hatok 100%. I saw the trailer for the Devil May Cry collection and I said... "This is HD?" Then I got Jak and Daxter and I really didn't see much of an improvement there, either. When I saw this trailer for KH, my heart exploded.

It could have been a lot worse.

Count yourself lucky

Ah, I remember this adventure like it was yesterday. Me, and Sonic were once again trying to save the world from Eggman. While Knux was trying to search the missing peices of the Master Emerald. And I got mad at Eggman for "killing" Sonic. Ah, good times, good times. You know, I hardly use the X-Tornado anymore. Maybe I should use it more often for future fights against Eggman.

Also, please don't compare Sonic Adventure 2 to Kingdom Hearts 1.5 collection. I'm sorry, but this kinda makes me a bit angry because I have the feeling that you are trying to say that the graphics in this HD remaster sucks compared to KH 1.5 HD Collection's graphics. This game was on the Sega Dreamcast after all so the graphics were great for its time. How abut you compare Ratchet and Clank HD Trilogy to Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Collection. Comparing dreamcast graphics to PS2 graphics is like comparing the Wii to the PS3.

I can't wait for SA2 HD or KH1.5.

I hope you enjoy playing as me in HD. It's going to be a great experience.

I don't see a point why people even complain about graphics (Graphics make so small part of game and are just side grade anyways).. These are just HD remaster anyways, tthey are same good ol' games we know with better resolution and stuff.

And yes comparing Dream Cast game to PS2 game is pretty weird...

Bleh. I was worried people would take this as a knock against Adventure. I love SA2, I totally going to buy this the first chance I get (But Okami HD comes first)

My purpose was to point out how lazy this port is in comparison to KH1.5, and that people should be grateful they got what they did, when Square Enix was under no obligation to put in any extra effort. And about the Dreamcast to PS2 comparison thing, that's jsut silly. Comparing the Dreamcast to the PS2 is like comparing the Gamecube to the Wii,. There's a difference, but it's not huge. Never mind that they're using the graphics the Gamecube version >.>

In an HD remaster, the thing that matters is the remaster. And in most cases, that means graphics. And quite frankly, people tend to neglect how important graphics are to a game, as they are the reason we see and perceive meaning from anything in a game. Graphics don't need to be good, but they do need to be tehre, and striving fro better graphics can only improve things.

And comparing Dreamcast and PS2, see my post above

ugh......graphic whores. What can you do about them?

I dunno. After all, graphics are important, but they should never be a selling point in a game

It's a remaster not a remake. You can expect the graphics to rival that of Final Fantasy XIII. Lol.

Wait, what? Why would you expect this?

I expected to much of this game. I thought it would have FF13 graphics, but w/e

WHY did you expect this?

Okay.

1. A comparison to sonic A2B. Interesting.

2. Kh1.5 graphics are good. I don't know what complaints you could make.

3. I personally find that SE did a good job. What were some people expecting? Super hd?

I dunno, I really don't see a difference in the trailer too. What's the point of even releasing this game? It's the exact same, except better graphics and trophies, really nothing new, don't understand why people are so excited about this. I was expecting they would add lots of new things in addition to the games, not just graphics. Like a Final MIx ++ if you will

What's the point in releasing it? To get it on the PS3. To compile important plot points, so people can easily access them when the next game comes along.

If it comes out in North America, I'm getting it for two reasons: The Final Mix content, and so I don't have to dig out my PS2 to play KH1

The fact that there are trophies, better graphics, and revamped gameplay only increases the value to me

Why are people complaining? I think the graphics look great. The game still has it's cartoony graphics but now they're much clearer.

One should expect to see some-what cartoony graphics anyway. It's a Disney crossover game.

Just goes to show that even when Square releases something we've wanted for years, people still finds things to complain about. :/

The first 2 KH games did little for the story. In KH1 it pretty much only sets the stage for the next game, not too many big things happen in it crucial to the story of the series. CoM was pretty useless except for what castle oblivion is, and Namine, everything else is pretty forgetable. I haven't played Days so I can't speak for that game. And you should know, KHFM has very little changes to it. 2 new keyblades, Xemnas fight, new abilities, new Heartless, Gummi Missions are slightly altered, and palette swaps. Why would you need to dig out your PS2? Would you keep it in your closet or something? I keep mine next to the TV, incase I wanna play it so I wouldn't have that problem. But if that's what you wanna get it for, then that's fine with me. I just don't see myself buying this collection. I just wanted them to add more things that were cut from the game. It would kinda feel like buying the same game. I guess people who have never played KH and want to would be smart to buy this, but if you've been a KH fan for awhile and played KH1 and CoM 6 times each probably wouldn't buy it.

PS There may be bad spelling and stuff but i wrote this kinda fast and I'm to lazy to proofread it.
