Caity 3,946 Posted September 25, 2012 I just finished 50 Shades of Grey Now I'm reading the Night Angel Trilogy Before that I was reading Point Horror Novels, and things like The Mediator, Alice in Wonderland, How Could She? and I frequently drift in and out of different mangas (I've no money so it really depends on if i'm comfortable sitting at a pc for a while reading). I'd be more inclined towards manga than marvel or DC, but I do have some merchandise of them.

KyleSnyder 5 Posted September 25, 2012 I not only read fantasy and sci-fi, I write fantasy and sci-fi as well. I've got 2 e-books for sale on Amazon.com called The Sapphire Desire and Project: Death Cat, with Project: Death Cat 2 coming out in either late December or early January. A majority of fantasy and sci-fi I read these days are by independent authors on Amazon.com. Everyone has a story to write. Some are good, some aren't as good. Number XV 490 Posted September 26, 2012 Uh, really creepy and action adventure manga, like Death Note, Naruto, Bleach, but I sometimes read Romance/Comedy manga such as Rosario+Vampire. I'm in to the really good Star Wars EU stuff right now, and I suggest the Thrawn trilogy and New Jedi Order. Jacen Solo, Anakin Solo and Mara Jade is a great characters. Others I've read and loved are Harry Potter, (duh.) Percy Jackson Artemis Fowl Wolf Hunter saga. (Kind of interesting.) All the classic, bizarre cool stuff. (Alice in Wonderland, Catcher in the Rye etc.)
khoathkeeper13 429 Posted September 26, 2012 Noticing people listing genres and including manga in the list. Since when is manga its own genre? Style, I understand, but its in no way a genre. But I like action, adventure, drama, sci-fi, and some mystery. Ex: Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Naruto, Code Geass, KHR.... I like some non fiction if its something I'm kinda interested in, like nutrition, or astronomy, or something. Its kinda like when you find yourself randomly reading wiki articles. Loki 1,184 Posted September 26, 2012 For fiction, I prefer mysteries and thrillers. I dont really go into the YA section anymore. I occasionally read an old, classic novel. Knowing who Emerson is is a good way to impress your English teachers. And then I read nonfiction stuff that interests me. Like mythology, obviously. I also read some Buddhist stuff like the Tripitaka, being religious and all. And zombies. They are a genre of their own.

ANYWAYS, I'm curious of 'The Alchemist.' What's it about? (Aside from alchemy I mean a bit in detail.) After watching Fullmetal Alchemist I got really interested into real life alchemy and chemistry.
