Kingdom Awesome 14 Posted September 22, 2012 I dont get it guys a collection of games should have 3 games in them. Why does kingdom hearts hd 1.5 remix only have kh1 final mix, kh re com, and hd cutscenes from 358/2 days why cant kh2 final mix be in this remix it just wont make any sense to have Roxas organazation life explained only in cutscenes we need kh2 final mix to be in this game otherwise I will not buy this game. Does any of you feel the same way and if so why?
KingdomHearts123456 32 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) I think that a 2.0 will be released eventually including, KH2FM, Re: Coded, and Dream Drop Distance because all those games happen very close to 2, as do the ones for KH 1.5 remix(Chains, hours after the frist game and 358 one happens during KH, but near the end) happen close to it. But since Birth By Sleep is a prequel, don't know about that. Idk just an idea most likely Kingdom hearts 2 kingdom hearts birth by sleep in Hd and re coded cut scenes in Hd since all those games were on last generation handhelds and dream drop distance wont get a remake since it already looks smoother than most of the ps2 games and its on this generation handheld. Queen Tery 4,591 Posted September 22, 2012 Like there aren't enough of these. To be a collection it doesn't HAVE to have three. The Ico and Shadow of the Colossus collection only had two games. 1 burnsideking24 reacted to this

KissyFace 134 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) So that SE can milk the fanbase. if they included KH1, Re:CoM, and KH2 like they should have, then people would have less reason to buy the impending 2.5, as it would be missing -KH2FM-. Nearly 2 years after 3D. Most people would have bought the game by then (who were going to). This way, people wouldn't be confused as f**k when KH3 releases Literally one cutscene would be enough to summarise Re:coded... so they will likely do that, as well as a few from 3D (but more from 3D, since it's actually relevant plot-wise). KissyFace 134 Posted September 22, 2012 It's not really a hard conclusion to come to. An assumption would be: This won't be released in NA because Nomura prefers FM content to stay Japanese. It's not really a hard conclusion to come to. An assumption would be: This won't be released in NA because Nomura prefers FM content to stay Japanese. That's because the other games in those series were either last gen, or a gen ahead. Any collection that followed a single story, and had 3 games in the same gen had 3 games, like Tomb Raider, Hitman, Jak and Daxter, and Devil May Cry. hell, even MGS on the PS3 had 3 games. Because there were only two games that were made. Most collections that had 3 games in the same generation had 3 games. No one can really defend Square not putting KH2 in the collection. Considering if they were to put KH2 in there they wouldn't have the chance to remake BBS or Re:Coded's cutscenes and then we'd have even less games combined to one system. I can defend them, because I'm not a whiny fan. lol What's the big deal leaving out one game, when they've already put in two quality games and HD cutscenes from a game where the best thing about it was the story. Especially considering that's more than they had to do for a game that was made on the DS and would be much harder to translate the gameplay over, in the first place. Wait, are you telling me that releasing BBS' cutscenes is only possible if KH2 stays out of the collection? Blu ray discs (what PS3 games are on) hold 25 GB for single layer discs, and 50 GB for dual layered discs. BBS was 1.7 GB, and KH2 is 3.7. There isn't a snowball's chance in hell that SE could not fit KH2, or BBS' cutscenes into one PS3 game. Hell, if they didn't do scenes, that makes it take even less space. It's pretty obvious that not only do they want t sell two games, but make sure that both games have what people want. I'm sure many people (including me) would be glad to pay for an HD collection twice. Especially if you get FM games, if you care about that. All in all, there is no logical defense for SE, they could have fit it all in one collection, and if they had BBS to make it four games (I wouldn't be surprised if they just made it the cutscenes, but unlike with other games, BBS can translate due to lack of dual screens). I don't care what kind of defendrone argument you can come up with, but these are the facts. Edited September 22, 2012 by KissyFace

Two or three. So by releasing it this way they can do two collections. Also I didn't say BBS' cutscenes. I was referring to the ENTIRETY of the FM version of BBS. If they had put KH 2 in this one then BBS and Re:Coded would've been left out. I'm sorry that they can't please everyone. And you're not talking about facts when you say that it's them milking the franchise. That is an opinion, no matter what way you look at it.

If you put in anything less, are you really going to argue that it's not "milking"? I mean, like, what? Is there some type of Sony law that says ONLY 3 games per collection? As far as I know, there isn't. And putting only 3 games is just milking. Basically, Square better put KH BBS in HD collection 2.5.

hatok 6,413 Posted September 22, 2012 since there is no KH1.5 section yet thought i would post it here till one gets made. now how is square digging their own grave? KH on consoles started on the PS2 which at the time was vastly more popular than gamecube or xbox, now its the other way around and xbox is on top. most of the younger generation fanbase of KH moved on to xbox's and the current younger generation is the same. without these people the game is going to completely undersell. now some people are probobly going to say "but xbox cant handle that much data" or "xbox demographic is the wrong one for RPGs." first off no XBOX has tons of action RPG fans which are the ones that matter, we got mass effect first, and we got skyrim both which sold excelently and are action RPGs. and most of the xbox community would probobly like it anyway since it is a fast paced action game, its the right demographic of customers. now on the second point of it being too much space, allright maybe it is for xbox, but than if that is the case why not put it on PC with controller support? PC gamers are still the same type of gamers as consoles and a lot of non PS3 owners would probobly jump at the chance to get the game on comuter especially since on comuters the graphics could be tuned up better than on PS3 if you have the right hardware. and its not like square has never put something on PC before, the final fantasy 7 port was a PC one and im not aware if there was a PS3 port. unless square ports it to xbox or PC or both they are going to lose a huge chunk of the KH fanbase and not make as much money as they could hope for. Quite simply, KH has no previous affiliation with the Xbox brand. The games you mentioned are Western RPGs. JRPGs have actually done notoriously badly on the 360, ESPECIALLY in Japan, the place where KH is made. Also, the 360 doesn't have an HD port movement going on, in fact, Microsoft has said they won't "resort" to that. PC gaming is the smallest market for selling games. BTW, there was a port of FFVII for the PS3. years ago. I think they should do what they did with Silent Hill HD Collection. With the different voice acting, it should give it a slightly different feel. I mean, HJO has run his course, I say we bring someone different. Oh god. I HOPE KH1.5 doesn't go the way of the Silent Hill Collection... KH games are only on good consoles, which is why Xbox doesn't have one. Seeing as it's only features are graphics and online play(which are useless to a good game, even though we're talking about an HD game) there's no need. Plus Square has always put the home console versions of the game on Sony systems, you expect them to just jump right into Xbox because some people want it? They're being smart, they know most of their fan base expects their next home console games on PS3(or 4 depending on release dates for KH3 and the actual console), so they're sicking to that. There's no reason to put it on xbox, and there's going to be a game for PC, that was announced too. From what I see their profits are going to either reamain steady or go up. Plus I don't think people want to have to deal with over a dozen disks to play two games, that's completely stupid... The 360 doesn't offer good graphics. The PS3 is better in that regard. But more importantly.. online isn't important to good games? What the firetruck? No seriously, what kind of logic is that? That's stupid. And a lot of people DID buy the 360 expecting Kingdom Hearts on it... for some reason. And sales would definitely increase if the game was on the 360 as well. That's just how business works; more options to buy a product means more sales. i find it hilarious you call PS3 a good console compared to xbox with its ridiculous ammount of console patches, install work for when you buy new games, terrible social features (no chatting with freinds across games) and no backwards compatability. yes xbox has its own flaws but so does playstation. it should have been released at least on PC and PS3. the PC game is just what sounds like a terrible browser game, nothing substantial at all. The PS3 is, objectively, a much superior console to the 360. It's the human element that decides. Many people choose the 360 for the online, or the exclusives. The most common reason was because somebody's friend was getting it. A PC port would most likely drive down sales dramatically due to an easily accessible pirated version of the game. The moral of this story? Good and bad are objective, and are a terrible means of gauging anything in the real world. It IS just going to be a terrible browser game. In the actual interview it SAYS it's going to be a browser-based game, and you're the hypocrite who said to do research before saying anything...lmao. I literally can guarantee that it will be "KH Mobile" for the US. It looks pretty terrible to me. This post isn't shining you in a great light. Just because a review calls a game a browser based game does not in any way confirm that it will be terrible... then you go off and talk about research and call someone a hypocrite... do you even know what that word means? you seriously underestimate the portion of KH fans that are the younger generation. and 3DS was differnt because the 3DS is the best selling and usualy most prefered mobile system of gamers, 3D was just more incentive to upgrade to it from a DS. PS3 is not as popular as you make it out to be and there is no way i would but a PS3 just for one game when most of the games i want are on PC or xbox, same goes for a lot of other people as well. putting xbox to the side can you give me one reason it shouldnt be released on PC? ... 3DS? Best selling?Us... we're you missing for the first year of that system's life? There was a worry that the 3DS would outright FAIL for a time. It wasn't a safe bet. But at least it doesn't have rampant piracy. Kingdom Hearts isn't the kind of game that people would buy legitimately out of a sense of honour on the PC... I dont get it guys a collection of games should have 3 games in them. I'm a huge KH freak and love all of the games and am a true fan who actually plays all of them no matter how "important" they are to the series, but if it does end up being KH Mobile for the PC, (which I know for almost a complete fact it's going to be, since there's a Japanese version of the game made specifically for browsers that anyone can play now) I will be greatly disappointed because I've seen videos of it and it's utter shit.
