I think I'm starting to go insane....

Recommended Posts

Okay, I've been starting to watch a lot of the slender games....and it's having negative effects on my sanity. I have a large patch of woods behind my house. For those of you who have played/seen the slender games, know why this would be an issue....everytime I go outside at night/early morning to take my dog out, I freak. And now I'm having nightmares. Suggestions? I've already committed myself to not watch it anymore.

I'm still perplexed as to why people are scared of Slender. He's a mannequin in a suit. The only way to rid your fear of him is to go out into the woods at midnight.

I've tried to confront my fears. My legs lock up on me. Does't work. Sorry, Snow.

Prove to yourself that there's nothing to be afraid of. When I was, like, eight, I had a fear of Samara from the Ring and I used to always see her in my closet. I got sick of being a little bitch and slept in the closet to prove to myself there was nothing there.

Okay, I have to LOL at that. Maybe I'll really try to confront it this time. If I don't come back, I loved you all.

Don´t resist to the Insane Side... we have cookies! hahahahahhaha well now seriously. Fear is a natural state of humanity, everyone has feared something in their live... example ( me: stranges noises ad midnight) but you need to confront it.. thats the only way... remember 90% of information on internet is a lie xD....

Play the game with somebody or a friend with you. That's how I got over my fear in some games. You've got nothing to be afraid of Lexa. And for another tatic try making a fake Slender man dummy and beat it up. Would any of this help?

Tch, thanks to that stupid Bloody Mary legend, I had been afraid of mirrors in the dark for years. Come to think of it, lots of scary movies and stuff scared me as a kid, like ghosts and teen slasher films. If I'd watched The Grudge as a kid, I would've been traumatized. But here's an odd coping mechanism that wound up working for me: go imagine Slendy in silly situations. Pretend he's his own character, imagine him in funny scenarios, write stories if you have to. With any luck, the humor will undo the fear somewhat. You might even condition yourself to think about that Slendy instead of, y'know, Slendy. It worked for me and Bloody Mary. She's the protagonist of a story I'm working on. Every time I pass by a mirror in the dark, I mull over story ideas. (Okay, not really, but the point is that I don't freak out over horror anymore).

If that fails, you can always carry around a shotgun when you go near the woods.

That's because

YOU ARE INSANE

Nah but seriously. Even without playing it it'll still be lurking in your mind so you just need to wait to you forget it/distract yourself

I'd love to live near a forest, however I know any time it's dark and I got outside, i'll get the irrational fear that some crazy mofo's gonna kill me.

Pfft, even in a city when I walk up my stairs at night I think evil unknown hands will come out of the wall and trail me down the stairs to hell.

Well obviously she wouldn't be in your closet. She'd be in your TV.

It's a guy with no face in a suit, not very creepy.

I'm just being an internet tough guy, sorry. I totally shit myself when I go into the woods at night, especially when its foggy. When it's foggy I not only stain my pants but weep loudly.
