What if Sora and Riku's roles were switched?

What I mean is what if instead of Riku giving in to the darkness and Sora gaining the Keyblade, Sora gave into the darkness and Riku gained the Keyblade.

 

They would have the same personality; Sora still the goofy, cheerful one and Riku the "bad" one. Donald and Goofy would still pursue the Key Bearer (Riku in this case) but woulddo you think would happen from there? Guard Armor onward all the way to KH3D:DDD? What would be the same? What would be different?

We'd be screwed. Ansem would take over Sora, Sora can't control the darkness, therefore we'd have only Riku,instead of Riku and Sora fighting by KHII, and 3Ds would not have happened. Also Roxas wouldn't exist, Ven would be lost forever, etc.

If Sora would had switch the Roles with Riku in Kingdom Hearts then Sora would had to obtain the Power of Darkness and Become Part Protagonist and Part Antagonist throughout the game series and Riku he would gain the Keyblade and befriending Donald and Goofy to Help Riku find and Rescue Sora and Kairi. That's what would have happen how about Riku the Main Protagonist of the Game Series instead of Sora if they can change the game series that way Riku would have been playable and Gaining the powers of the Keyblades of lights while Sora gaining the Powers of Darkness.

The thing is, they really can't switch roles, simply because of who they are. Riku's longing for greater things is what let the darkness in, and his lusts and longings compelled him to go further and further. Sora is more concerned with the well being of others and doesn't really concern himself desire of power in any way, so he's less inclined towards darkness at all times.

 

They couldn't switch unless they had significantly altered personalities, in which case it wouldn't be Sora and Riku at all.

I don't remember posting this, but it is kinda true. Then both characters would be villains. In Naruto's case, he would abandon Konoha & team up with Sasuke to kill Tobi & Itachi. Then that would make Hinata & Sakura the protagonists, trying to bring Naruto & Sasuke back to Konoha, but Naruto won't rest until he kills Tobi & Madara, while Sasuke won't rest until he kills Itachi, Danzo, some other two old ninja who I forgot the identities of, Hiruzen Sarutobi, & Tobi, & probably Madara too.

IF she was to still be interested in Sora, this game could become a real sob story in a jiffy...I... I don't wanna see her cry over Sora... She's too cute! She doesn't deserve to be sad!

 

Maybe Riku would be the ultimate wingman and rescue Sora from the Darkness? Then afterwards throw a paopu fruit at him

so hard that it knocks him out while screaming "SHARE THIS WITH HER ALREADY!!!"

Where the hell you do you get this from? Because Riku became a Master? Thats Rikus story arc, not preferential treatment.
