Dark Memories 47 Posted September 16, 2012 So a couple of weeks ago I went to the docs office, and found out I had cervical cancer. OMG. I freaked. I didn't know what it was, and I didn't know how I got it. I looked Into it all this and that and it just baffled me cause I hadn't ever done anything like that .____. Maybe a genetic thing? I dunno. I'm actually kinda scared to find out more. Anyways, yesterday they told me I'm gonna have to go through this thing were they freeze the tumor and take it out see if it helps. And if not, well then, bye future with a billion kids! Cause I won't be able to have any! I'm so scared about this whole procedure, I don't think it can actually kill you .___. But I just need advice to get me through this, my friends hardly know anything about this, i don't want to tell them cause, aha, middle school years, nobody really believes anything anyone says. But I was thinking maybe some of you did. I dont know how to deal with all this I'm just scared about what's going to happen....
Weiss 8,279 Posted September 16, 2012 I think you could always have a close friend or family member to talk to about it. And you could ask your doctor for details about it. And if you need to talk to someone, we have this very understanding community here. I wish you the best of luck.
kalnet 1,198 Posted September 16, 2012 To be honest, I would've been shocked as well, but try to be brave and know more about your sickness more and gain more knowledge about it. It's scary times but search more about your sickness online. That will help. Other than that, get support from your family and Good luck.
KingdomKarts_:P 14 Posted September 16, 2012 Believe in yourself and to God Almost everything happens for a reason If everything was perfect in this life, you couldnt tell which person could be bad. Dont be afraid and see things in a calm way. Things like this can be scary i believe, but nothing can harm as long as you believe in the Good. Im not too religious and all, but remember... where science ends, belief starts. Never forget that. Its so much more important than many think
XIIISwords 1,059 Posted September 16, 2012 (edited) If you're concerned about the lack of kids in your future, you could always consider adoption. I know of some people who have raised beautiful families without having kids of their own. But it's not origin that counts- it's who you believe is your family. Good luck. Dark Memories 47 Posted September 16, 2012 If it does come to that it doesnt matter to me if I have kids or not. I'm still young and a full life ahead. I'm just scared on how this will affect me in the long run. I guess it's just paranoia.
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted September 17, 2012 Hey...I have to get surgery soon and have never had surgery. Once one night it was storming really bad. A tornado was a mile away from my house. Guess what I did? I took cross necklace held it to my heart and prayed over and over again. The storm went away... Dark Memories, take my word. Pray. Amon 4,279 Posted September 17, 2012 Many cancers can be treated very effectively if discovered early on, which appears to be your case. The surgery will go fine, just stay calm and remind yourself that things will go back to normal right after you recover from surgery.
