Freakin' Re: Coded. All that really mattered was the ending (and even that they could have just covered in another game, which they kind of did with 3D). It was all just pointless filler, and Nomura just made it "Data Sora", instead of the real Sora going through the Datascape, because he wanted to reuse his KH1 model. Need I go on? Re: Coder, er... Coded in general, is the worst in my opinion. And I hate things like the stupid Eliminator (even though I can own his ass now)! This fic sums up my feelings on that thing very nicely. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6748480/1/The-Eliminator

So why, then, am I ironically watching a playthrough for Re: Coded at the moment? Because HellfireComms is just too awesome. How I love TheHellDragon and NTom64's humor...

I think CoM was good, especially Re:CoM was waaaay cool. It just that it is different. Like that turret from Portal 2.

I think you can't compare CoM with the rest of KH games. In fact, if I had to choose, I would choose Coded. But still I enjoyed it. It was totally a waste of time but Re:coded at least had good gameplay, way better than 358/2 Days.

Hell no, I thought Re:/CoM were awesome! The gameplay was fast and exciting, the story was fun and interesting, the only issue I had was that you couldn't do that quick one-on-one dual with Sora like you could with Riku...'cept in the final battle. e.o

CoM is right up there with the numbered titles in terms of good gameplay and plot relevance (CoM is THE single most important game in the franchise)

The GBA version also has the best writing in the series, perhaps with the exception if Re:Coded

You want a bad KH game? Go play Days

The card based handheld games were popular at the time and SE was just jumping on when they made COM

I think it's a very good story and introduces an array of interesting new characters

I like it.

I think the worse was Days, until it's remastered I guess.

Then I would say RE:Coded. Seeing how it was remastered from a mobile game, I don't see how it was ever meant to be originally in the story. Felt pointless.

The biggest problem with this game is how long it drags out, without anything changing as you go through.

The worlds all repeat the same message, 'Sora, this isn't a good idea' given in little 3 part chunks

The card game style would be OK were it not for all the time that has to be spent constructing a good deck, which often won't work on the bosses.

The actual CO plot is excellent though, and that's what drives it, watching Sora go from entering this castle to find Riku to ditching Donald and Goofy to find Naminé is amazing.

But what does the most damage is its zero replay value. Some individual parts are fun and worth re-watching or fighting, but all the stuff that has to happen before hand makes it not worth it. And once you've completed Sora's story all that's left is to get some special cards and sleights. There's no extra bosses, there's no trophies to earn, there's no cutscene, you beat the game, and that's it.

Rebirth is better, and is what the game could have been, and then a simple, but decent game.

This game is quick, you enter a world, fight some Heartless, beat its boss, and that's it. The final floor only has like 4 rooms, as opposed to Sora's which had over 25.

The worlds didn't have any plot, aside from the fact that Riku will battle the darkness.

The card game isn't as much of a pain, you don't have to fiddle with your deck, or worry about having the right sleights lines up or getting a better one so you have to scrap it all, by the second floor you've got all your abilities, and it doesn't require any more effort.

Again the best part is the CO plot, going from Riku trying to remove his own darkness, to accepting and embracing it as part, but not all, of himself.

Unfortunately unless you are a huge fan of Zexion or Lexaeus there is almost no reason to replay this, which is a shame since this is the easiest replay option.
