KH Fighting Style Analysis (Or 'Why DDD is a Step in the Wrong Direction')

Recommended Posts

Wow very nice! Hatok do you dislike DDD? I have seen alot of your posts and it seems like you don't like it very much

I'm a balancing act. I counter positive with negative, and vice versa.

I quite enjoyed DDD, but it has flaws, but most people haven't gotten over the hype yet and still think it's perfection

Your analysis for sora is strong, but I disagree for two reasons. First things first, KH2 Sora fighting style is a complete ripoff of roxas' style, as seen in days where all of roxas' moves are insanely similar to kh2 sora's, and since chronologically within the KH universe Roxas was the first to use these moves, the style belongs to him. This is one of many reasons why roxas can be considered stronger than sora, but that's a different topic. Now since 3d is going out of its way to say that sora will be relearning how to use the keyblade the right way lets look at why he reverts to his kh1 style. In 3d a new idea is introduced, where do those who influence him end and where does sora begin. Since sora based his entire style on roxas' he would have to go back to his original form to find his own way to use the keyblade, and it just might be that in kh3, sora's style just might surpass roxas', it's one of those cases where you have to take a step back in order to take two steps forward.

This is untrue. Roxas uses moves based off of KH1 Sora. To this date, nobody has had a combat style like KH2 Sora. The closest thing there is is Xion, who has the same stances as KH2 Sora

The moves are all ripped right from KH1 Sora mentalities

Actually from what I remember a lot of moves from Roxas are similar to Sora's own in both Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. I played them both. And I'm pretty sure that Kingdom Hearts 1 Sora doesn't have some of Days' Roxas moves. But that's not why I joined this thread. I actually came here to discuss Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix Roxas. I mean the boss battle Roxas. I'm not sure if you didn't mention him because he only appeared on Final Mix or if you truly believe that VALOR form Sora is basically the same. If you do, well, then I'm afraid I disagree. Unlike Valor form Sora, who can't use magic at all, Final Mix Roxas COULD use magic, and he did, quite awesomely in fact! I can't really remember any Keyblade weilder that used Light magic like he did. I dare say he was much more skilled than say, Sora, using Light magic. But that may just be my opinion.

Your analysis were pretty good. I would like to read what you think of this Roxas, and the reason for the extreme changes in his fighting style.

Edit. I just realized how old this thread actually is... oops.
