Hey everybody!

 

Interesting news today, Disney CEO Bob Iger was asked about the "company's current approach to the video game market when compared to the introduction of Disney Interactive Studios in 2007". He replies saying "that the company would be publishing fewer titles for "high-end" systems, but suggested that the company may soon be publishing Marvel-based titles to make up for the shift."

 

He also states that "Disney-branded games seem to perform better on the Wii and DS platforms."

 

For those of you who don't know, Disney purchased Marvel a while back. Could this mean that the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III, and any other related games, could be on the Wii or Nintendo DS? Anything is possible.

If they don't use motion control, that's even make it better to be on ps2 / 3, if we play wii, it's because of motion control.

 

I don't think Bob was talking about kh, there're a whole lot of disney games beside it and Bob didn't even mention japan.

It won't be on the PS2. That's a guarantee, since Nomura himself stated Re:CoM would be the last KH title to be on the Playstation2.

I know for a fact that III will be a PS3 exclusive, why I say "know" is simple. there is no way that Squenix will let Microsoft's crappy console ruin the god-game, and I don't think they would want to put III on a billion discs like they are for FFXIII. So Microsoft can do one. I also sincerely doubt that Ninty will get a look in as KH is way too graphics orientated, playing it on the Wii will be like playing it on the PS1. Also the whole reaction command and control layout will be too complicated so I guess a main-story KH game will stay Playstation exclusive. =] (Just aswell that I recently sold my Xbox to buy a PS3 isn't it =P)

Umm, no.

If it was, KH1 and KH2 would have used the PS2's full graphic capabilities.

It didn't, because KH is supposed to be cartoony for the most part.

This is where I agree with Rho, it would'nt be like Ps1, Kingdom hearts really does'nt have amazing graphics, but I think the wii will get a Kingdom hearts title, though it will only be a spinoff. Never know it could even be Re:358/2 days

I see, so they choose wii for its market alone (well maybe not alone). I agree with you now.

Best Face Palm i have ever seen! hehe, i agree with rho and AgentQV lets see how Epic Mickey is. I only heard about it recently and it sounds pretty interesting.

I think Epic Mickey may be alright, it looks mmmkay and I hope Coded possibly comes out on it in the UK and the US, or the iPhone/iTouch... I don't mind. As far as KH3 goes, I think Squenix will keep to the same brand of console as the last two main games... The PS3 =]
