kristi-swat 61 Posted September 5, 2012 well..next year I go to college...I want to go for physics...and I have started thinking about a Ph.D already...My dream is to become a quantum physicist but beside that I also love the theory of relativity, atomic physics and elementary particle physics...I was doing some research I think that what I found didn't include this other topics in the quantum physics (...is this so?? and if anyone knows,is there any modern physics Ph.D?...because that should cover all of these subject
DChiuch 5,773 Posted September 5, 2012 My advice is that there's no point thinking about a PhD at this time. Just think about your next degree (whatever you're doing at college). College is going to change your opinion about your academic future greatly, so wait until a year or so into the degree before you start considering a PhD. 5 Sonic, kristi-swat, SHADOWPAIN and 2 others reacted to this

I had good grades, but science wasn't my area of expertise. It wasn't my focus. My plan is to become an author.

There are plenty of Americans with drive and ambition . @ Topic .. Dchiuch is right . You will likely change your mind or direction in college so I would go from there and see where it takes you . You might find you're destined to be something else or you might be what you originally wanted to be . You find out a lot about yourself in college that you didnt know . It's a great experience . There is LOTS of driven and ambitious people and you are generalizing a whole country of people .As if you know what they are like and what their aspirations are. You shouldnt judge a whole country of people you don't know . I went to college with plenty who work their ass off to achieve their goals. You HAVE to in this economy .If anything, people are working harder than EVER because its a must right now . 1 Robbie the Wise reacted to this
